Michelle came out within a day to provide a new quote for me. She delivered in the timeframe she promised and my yard looks great! I continue to receive compliments from neighbors and friends. Michelle was the most responsive person of the five companies I contacted. I has a bit hesitant about contacting her a second time because the revised job was much smaller than the first; she treated this request as she did the first one, timely and made no remarks about the smallness of the job (some company people do that because they only want the big jobs!). I recommend this company and Michelle for your lawn replacement needs.

While Courts and Greens was not the lowest bid, it was not the most expensive either. I wanted to be sure that after just a few short years, our lawn would not look like some in the neighborhood, deflated, crunchy, cheap, like off the roll at your local hardware store. We felt totally comfortable after speaking to Michelle that the job was going to be handled competently and the lawn was going to look great. Michelle got us on the schedule right away and in one short work day, it was installed and done. The job was clean and done with care, no extra clean up for me or anything! First quote was $1091, then when I called back to place my order and schedule delivery for Saturday. April 19, the second quote was almost $1600, including delivery. Hmmm, ok, should've mentioned a $500 delivery fee with the first quote. I called Saturday, April 19, to ask about a delivery time and was told they can't provide one, should be here sometime between 5:30 am-2:00 pm. Then they said they don't see me on the schedule at all and needed to call me back. 30 min later, Angel left a VM saying there must've been some kind of miscommunication between Manuel and me about the delivery date, that the delivery is scheduled for next Saturday. I called to talk to Angel again and was told I must've ordered delivery for the wrong weekend. Then he tried to blame the sod company for messing up the delivery date. When I found out they go through A G Sod, I called them directly and learned that Kern Turf failed to even place the order and blamed me for the "confusion." They confirmed no order was placed for me by Kern Turf and I was not on the schedule for delivery, this weekend or next weekend. When I realized I could order directly through A G Sod, who also confirmed the first/lower quote I received from Kern Turf was correct and that it included delivery to my house, I ordered directly through them for the same price. Why the second guy jacked the price up another $500 is still a question no one seems to be able to answer. Whole lot of fishiness going on here. So, I do not recommend Kern Turf Supply unless they fire the guys making excuses and blaming others for their mistake. An honest mistake is understandable but not the lying and blaming. If you need sod, skip the middle man. It's the same cost and one less person to mess it up.
