We like off season travel. And added bonus is this place is right off of 101 making it super convenient for traveling. Most spots have full hook ups. Some just w/e. They have a cute little u shaped area for pop-up campers. Not all sites are super level. Some are pull thru and some back in. Some spots back up to 101 but we became used to the sparse traffic quite quickly. The tent sites are mostly very private. They are nice. Perhaps the neatest places to stay are the cabins. They look so inviting. Some have full kitchens which works out nicely since this very well stocked grocer, Murphys, is just down the street. It was a surprising find in a town of a little over 300 souls. They have a hot bar too! Nice people abound in this area. The little store onsite is also well stocked. There are toasty bathrooms available and the showers, if needed, are coin operated. Fair warning: if you use starlink, there are a ton of trees! There is a "bark park". We visited all the cities/towns in the area including the absolutely adorable Ferndale! We highly recommend the beach in Trinidad. Just stunning with tons of soft sand. We recommend Emerald Forest Cabins & RV.

In fact we decided to stay another night, although we moved to the site next to us because the first one was a bit uneven. We were in the back row higher up, which we preferred because we had less neighbors, although was a bit of a walk to the bathrooms/showers. With a military discount we paid around $75 per night. We were a little surprised they labeled these back sites as "ocean view" since you really can't see any of it through the trees, though you can hear the ocean in the distance which is nice. We were ok with that but in my opinion is false advertizing. The grounds are very clean, pretty well maintained, and very quiet at night. The sites in our area all had fire pits, and small decks with a picnic table. The showers do not require coins and the water is hot. There is also a hot tub near the office although we didn't have time to use it. We would stay here again and I recommend it to others.

As I was parking I almost decided to leave because it was basically a big grassy area with electrical posts backed up against the freeway. I decided to stay. When I took my dog for a walk, I passed by the bathrooms and decided to look inside. What a mess. It smelled like cigarettes, the garbage can was over flowing, it was dark, dank and nasty. Since I hadn't paid yet, I went back and told my mom we were leaving. I got onto wifi and found another place. I will never stop there again and will strongly warn anyone else!! they actually deserve no stars

The old midway rv park was great when it was owned by Sherri and Don. They actually cared About…read morethis place and it was a friendly enjoyable place to live. They sold the park to new people who only use this place to house employees from emerald forest and let lots of run down looking Rv's in the park. This one couple in space 24 is def selling hard stuff they come and go about 15-30 times daily and have been doing it for months. I called the owner to complain and he wouldn't even meet with me , he just sent me an eviction notice. These people are straight gutter trash and leave garbage and all kinds of nasty chemicals all over their yard. The vibe at this place is now horrific. Ever since they took over the park about a year and a half ago they let people's dogs crap all over the property and no one ever cleans it. The workers that they hire look like they are fresh out of the clink or rehab. I'm pretty sure the owner is in cahoots with the dealers in space #24 along with the park manager.

The internet well there is no internet. That's right there is no cable and no internet. Oh wait they say they have the best internet ever. So we try to get internet and there is none. Call the office no answer. Read the full page of rules and regulations and guess what. Wi-fi : " We offer WiFi service , but do not guarantee its availability or security at any time". Ok guess what I'll guarantee I won't come back. Asta la vista!

Very nice park, safe and easy to get to right off the 101 highway. Full hooks ups, pull thru level pads, grass all around the site. They have a pool and hot tub, Good laundry room, along with a good Mexican Restaurant in walking distance to the park. We will stay here again when we are in the area. Eureka and Arcata are nice, but they both have some bad elements, be aware of the areas you are in. This RV park is safe and in a good safe area. While there we visited the Redwood Nation Park, Trees of Mystery, Avenue of the Giants, town of Ferndale and lots of Ocean hikes.

Nobody answered then shortly after a lady called was very rude and said the park was closed on Sundays while we were trying to ask the question she hung up I would not recommend this park not sure what the problem is, but they obviously have the wrong people working for them. I would think that they're in the business of making money and a half empty park is not making money we did, however, travel on to another park that readily accepted our reservations at the last minute, even though it was their last day for the season.

Managers keep the park clean and are helpful all hours of the day. Security is top notch-guests must check in at the front and we are all kept safe with management being on top of everything. Quiet, no freeway noise. A new walking trail is being erected which makes the park more welcoming. Plan to stay here as long as I can. A huge thankyou to management for all they do! Very tenant oriented! Perfect life on the river.
