Swing low, sweet chariot.
One of my dad and I's stops along our drive was the Swinging Bridges in Pontiac. We pulled up on a beautiful afternoon and got to swinging. These are some really old bridges that you can walk on and they bounce with enough force. With the weather being beautiful, we took our time walking across the bridges and testing their bounciness.
The bridges themselves seem like they are part of the Play Park and Chautauqua Park. It seemed like a really nice park from the little bit we got to see from the bridges. The swinging bridges are a nice little destination for a nice walk over the Vermillion River. Just don't jump too much or it's a $200 fine, according to the sign on the bridges. Some day I would like to go back and explore the place proper. read more
