I felt like I got a fantastic deal on the lamp, especially after looking it up online and seeing it go for 4x the price. However, a lot of other items I felt were priced a bit high. I'm not sure how they feel about negotiating. As an added bonus, they have a whole upstairs level that is packed full of even more stuff! Mostly furniture items, with some random items packed in here and there. Be warned, there's no AC in that section so it does feel like walking through someone's attic.

Turns out that one was bought by her Daughter when they lived in Colorado so not local. Struck out. One of the managers said " hold on" and ran outside but returned a few minutes later and explained they had had a slab wood bench but it apparently had been sold. She gave me some good tips where to look also for such an item. Every looked at the walls in a Cracker Barrel and wondered where they found all this stuff. Turn out it's in places like this. There was so much that I wanted to buy but we are still unpacking boxes from the move and I knew my wife would kill me if I brought anything else home till we found a home for the other items we have in storage. If you're in Statesville, it's worth a trip just to browse around. Unfortunately it's less than a mile from where I work and before I retire, I'm sure I will be back and will probably buy more than one item.
