Established in 2012.
Glenda Baker has baked and decorated cakes and cookies out of her home for years, and in 2013, the Baker family bought Sweetly Ever After from Ricky and Kim Mitchell who had opened it the previous year. In 2014, her son Marcus, after years in the foodservice industry, including helping to open a fine dining restaurant, came to help her manage the business. He's now proficient in cake decorating as well, learning everything he could from his mother, as well as expanding the lunch/dinner menu to include pasta, salad, and hot sandwiches. Our goal is to provide our Henderson neighbors with high quality cakes, treats, and food at an affordable price.
Meet the Business Owner: Glenda B.
Glenda started baking and decorating cakes in highschool as a hobby, for friends and family, using recipes and techniques she had learned from watching her mother while growing up. As her interest and experience grew, so did her business, expanding to multiple customers. After the Baker family moved to back Henderson in the late '90s, her customer base expanded to Henderson residents. Then, in 2013, after a chance visit to Sweetly Ever After and noticing that the business was for sale, with encouragement from family she decided to purchase the business, and has worked to improve her skills to perfection, while expanding the business.
