Pretzel donut, Apple fritter, chocolate and maple Bigfoot, cherry filled, "dirt" cookies and cream

Fresh donuts. Small shop. Some house specials. But really just donuts. It's a step up from Safeway with definitely cooler options. But flavor was just normal.

Stopped by during our road trip...yummy and fun creative doughnuts! Big foot with creme, dirt with a gummy worm, sprinkled one and and the amazing sweet pretzel!

Excellent donuts, I think the owner was preoccupied with a large order - otherwise, great service. We will be back!

    Apple fritter

Came in today to sweetheart just about 15 minutes before close to get some donuts for a birthday. Was looking to get a dozen donuts plus a few extra for my wife and I. I asked if it was possible to get an assorted dozen with no sprinkle donuts and was told no; that I would have to pay for each donut individually. It was also mentioned that a normal assorted dozen had 3-4 sprinkled donuts. After paying a total of $50 for 16 total donuts, and delivering the dozen donuts as a birthday gift I arrived home ripe with anticipation to try my tasty treats. Lo and behold this monstrosity of an Apple Fritter bequeathed my eyes when I opened the box of 4 donuts I had gotten for my wife and I. It was absolutely burnt, unsellable levels of burnt. What could have been a beautiful caramelized layer of sugar was tarnished into a crispy oblivion. This Apple fritter is single handedly the most disappointing donut I have ever purchased; and what makes it even more disappointing is two out of the twelve donuts I gifted were these monstrous Apple fritters. I feel as if I have committed a crime in gifting someone such a tarnished creation. It is beyond me how these made it to the floor. Good day Sweetheart, I will likely not be back after this experience! P.S. the cinnamon twist was lovely, and not at all burnt. Some QC would go far!

Friendly service and amazing doughnuts! We started with a dozen and the lovely lady gave us extra donuts so we paid $17 for 16 delicious donuts- great deal if you ask me. My boyfriend and I have been looking for the best doughnuts in town and I think we found them! We will definitely be coming back to Sweetheart Donuts.

It's very conveniently located within walking distance to the rest of downtown Bend. It can get pretty packed, and seating isn't always guaranteed, but if you have time to hang around, the atmosphere is well worth experiencing. There's a bar-style seating area where locals seemed genuinely settled in, giving the shop a true neighborhood feel. I ordered a large Belgian Mocha, which was rich in flavor while not being overly sweet. The espresso was definitely still there, so the drink was beyond just a dessert vibe. Service was friendly and efficient, with my drink ready in just a few minutes despite the crowd. Overall, this is a lively downtown coffee spot best suited for those who want quality drinks and don't mind a local crowd.

Additionally, our barista gave us a coupon for a free 12oz drink because it took more than five minutes for us to get the breakfast sandwich, it didn't seem like a long time to me but that is just good service. The music was tasteful and not too loud which helped cultivate the calm and pleasant ambiance. The pastries were delightful, so good in fact that I was unable to get a photo due to my inability to delay taking a bite as soon as we sat down. We had the ham and gruyère croissant and the plain croissant. The breakfast sandwich was great; the homemade English muffins were dense but not heavy, the bacon was perfectly thick and crispy, the egg was well done, and the pesto mayo tied it all together. The Latte was solid, I regret not trying the syrups which I found out were homemade after I had ordered, it seemed as though everyone who ordered after me got the cardamom syrup in their drinks. My girlfriend got the hemp milk latte, unsweetened. She is a matcha snob and was pleased with her order, which is a rarity for coffee forward places such as Thump. Stop at Thump if you're in Bend.

The open kitchen is especially very cool to watch if you don't have anyone else to hang out with. The reason for the review rating, is just the quality of the food. The day before I went to RBC, and not only was it less money than this, it was much much better. This is absolutely not what I expected from a place that looks like this and cost this much. My steak was OK, but as I said, I got the same one at RBC and it blew this out of the water. Picking your knife is a cute little exercise, but after all that I would've expected my knife to at least be sharp enough to cut the steak the way I wanted it. But that's a silly thing to even get stuck on. What really bugged me was the brussels sprouts first off were just swimming in grease and sauce, they were intense, and I only had a couple spoonfuls. The other thing that really pushed this over the edge was the brisket Bao. That seemed like a cool idea, but the brisket itself was extremely basic and just in a formed square. The sauce tasted like just peanut and nothing else, and the bao itself was extremely dry. The bread service was probably my favorite part, that thing was really tasty and so was the butter. I can't remember what they said the butter specifically was, but it tasted like just butter, it wasn't special. This place just doesn't have the value for the cost for me at all with the other nice steakhouses around.
