Great salad place with super friendly staff and nice seating environment! There are many options for salad. You can either order the menu salad or create your own. Ordering experience is kinda like chipotle. Now to the food- I had chicken pesto parm and guacamole greens. Chicken pesto is coated with jalapeño vinaigrette (customized it) and it was very delicious. Guacamole greens is filled with avocado and other mixed greens. I love that they also added tortilla chips in it, which gives a crunchy texture. All the ingredients from the two salads I've had are always very well incorporated. I'm always surprised by how the staff can make various ingredients in a bowl taste harmonious in the end. Truly enjoy the salad symphony in my mouth. Truthfully ambivalent. The first couple of times I ever ordered from this place, the quality was quite decent: juicy salads with ingredients that tasted fresh. Dressings are essential with the salad game, so I always asked for them heavy (and so should you). But honestly, those are basically my expectations anyway if I'm ordering salads this expensive. Lately, their quality has plummeted. The salads aren't as juicy anymore, even with heavy dressings. I'm not sure why, but I feel like they've just started dressing less and less. I just can't with dry salad. Portion sizes are pretty variable, sometimes way smaller than you'd expect. Additionally, I only realized this recently, but sometimes they would accidentally overcharge me for my salads. We ordered the harvest bowl and the guacamole greens. They were both okay. Each was around $13, and the salads were big enough for a full meal themselves. The harvest bowl was the better of the two. I want to start by saying that I never ate a salad I liked until I ate at a sweetgreen 10+ years ago in DC. I love their ingredients and commitment to local, seasonal, TASTY, unique meals. Sweetgreen changed my mind about what a salad looks like, tastes like, and feels like. Since then, I've been nuts about sweetgreen. One of the first things I do when I move to a new place is search for the closest location. Living in a dead-zone feels like I'm away from an old friend. However, my experience with this location has been all over the place and usually has issues. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and support them during COVID. I feel like there are other, similar (non-chain?) businesses in the same area, so unfortunately that long-lived loyalty is waning. The issues run gamut from under-filling the bowl, completely (inexcusable), or really skimping on 1 ingredient (please contact for substitution if you're out of something). Order up: I was cheerfully greeted by Noah, who gathered all the ingredients for me in a metal bowl before handing it off to another coworker who mixed it altogether for me. You're able to taste the dressing beforehand if you're unsure of how it will taste. After much deliberation, I settled with the guacamole greens. At just 530 calories, it's got all the must-haves of a Mexican fiesta: avocado, roasted chicken, red onion, tomatoes, tortilla chips, fresh lime squeeze mixed with a salad base of organic mesclun. Until today, I never heard of mesclun. Apparently it's a salad mix of green leaves (including arugula and leafy lettuce) that originated from Provence, France-- thanks, Wikipedia! The salad also came with a side of lime cilantro jalapeno vinaigrette. I chose not to have the dressing pre-mixed since I was taking it home. No one likes soggy salad! Despite the long line, I was in and out relatively quickly. I think management does a great job with staffing so as to accommodate for rushes, especially during lunch time. Wow!... stopped by here with my significant other and grabbed ourselves a salad bowl and just wow. Didn't expect it to be as good as it was. Everything organic. I got romaine lettuce, quinoa, rice, squash, mushrooms, beets and cucumbers. For the dressing I just wanted lemon juice and olive oil. It was so good. We couldn't wait so we started eating in traffic. Lol... all we kept saying was this is hella good. I actually enjoyed it better than Whole Foods salads I make when I go there. The Guacamole Greens had avocado, mesclun, roasted chicken, tomatoes, red onion, and tortilla strips with a squeeze of lime juice and a lime cilantro jalapeño vinaigrette. Despite the addition of jalapeño to the vinaigrette, this salad was not spicy at all. However, I thought the flavors combined well. Similarly, the Kale Caesar was a great mix of roasted chicken with parmesan shavings, kale, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, lime juice, parmesan crisps, and a creamy caesar dressing. Service was good, and I liked that the servers ask you for your preference in terms of the quantity of dressing. Once they make you salad they ask you if you want your dressing light, medium, or heavy so you can customize to your liking! I got the harvest bowl since it looked to be the favorite on the menu by far. It was amazing, the combination of chicken, apple and goat cheese along with the kale and rice made for a really satisfying meal. I actually got full about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way through my bowl which surprised me! Honestly, my friend and I had already made a plan to go get a slice of pizza afterwards since we were both pretty sure we were still going to be hungry afterwards but we didn't need to. And I have seen two people arrive to get food without wearing a mask. We wanted to give them a second chance because we know times are tough and everyone is struggling with the pandemic.
