I wanted to write an updated review of Downtown Tarot Company because they are truly a GEM of…read moredowntown Rochester and I'm so grateful that they exist! Since my last review in 2021, I have frequented this shop a TON and this year I basically have gone every week. I have gotten very into the metaphysical, so I initially began shopping here more frequently because of their incredible and diverse crystal selection. I particularly love their mystery bags that the employees intentionally and thoughtfully curate! They are great to buy for yourself or your loved ones and it's a unique and thoughtful kind of gift that those who are interested in crystals, incense, candles, and holistic goodies will really appreciate! I've also done two different tarot readings, one was a 15 minute walk in that I was able to pop in and do in the same day, and the other one was a thoughtful gift my friend had gotten me. Both readings were so lovely and spot on as well! As of this year, I've begun to take their CLASSES! They offer a ton of incredible classes, taught by their incredible employees who are subject matter experts in their fields! I've taken Tarot 1 (January 2025), Tarot 2 (February 2025), and Lenormand (April 2025) classes with Janis and The Magic of Astrology (March 2025) with Jorie! All have been incredible and hence why I keep coming back! Be sure to pay attention to their class offerings as the ones so far I've signed up for are multi-week ones, but they also offer one-time, one-off classes and I have a couple of those coming up in the next few months here! It is always the most incredible time at Downtown Tarot Company! Everyone who works here is so friendly and welcoming, very helpful to any and all questions you might have, and are always open to suggestions on what other merchandise you want to see in the store!!

I have gotten Reiki healings as needed for close to 10 years. Last year, I felt in need of a…read morecleanse and I'm so glad to have found Claire at ASHA. She has the gift. As she's working, I can feel energy shifting and I can get into a wonderful relaxed state of just being and not thinking. For someone who lives in their head all the time, it's a delightful feeling. You have the choice to have her say what's she's sensing or not but I love to hear what's she's sensing, as it's so accurate and to me, it helps me change to terms with my feelings or know what to focus on in the coming weeks. The best part is, after every cleanse, I feel lighter and more connected, even after some very heavy work that may bring up an array of emotions: when I leave, I feel like the sun is shining brighter and all my favorite songs are on the radio. And that feeling stays with me for several days to weeks after. The three session pack is a great deal for the amount of healing you get and it's very flexible: you could use these monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, etc depending on your needs. I'm putting Reiki healing with Claire up there with getting massages or seeing a chiropractor: go when you need it but also when you don't to prevent needing it.

It's rare to come across a space that truly honors the human experience--raw, imperfect,…read morebeautiful--and rarer still to find a guide who walks beside you with genuine presence and integrity. That has been my experience working with Donna over the past couple of years through Ascension School of Healing Arts. I didn't come into this work lightly. I was seeking something that would help me make sense of myself, my patterns, my wounds, and my potential. What I found was not just support, but a path: one that challenged me, held me accountable, and helped me remember my own strength. She helps you reclaim parts of yourself you didn't even know were missing. I've witnessed so many moments of transformation--not just in myself, but in others who have walked this path with me. There's no hierarchy in the space she creates. It's collaborative. Empowering. Human. She helps me understand my pain and transform it, understand it, integrate it, and move through it with intention. When I've brought ideas, projects, and personal milestones to her, I've felt celebrated, seen, and heard. She truly has a deep commitment to helping others rise in their own light.

I have never experienced any reading like this, she talked more about herself instead of reading me. I was asked for my birth date and everything she talked after that was how I am a Leo and based my reading around this. I actually cannot call it a reading though because she kept getting distracted so easily and talking something off topic, she never focused on me and told me anything on her own, she replied only to questions she asked me. I have 4 MAJOR life events happening in my life currently and Marilyn did not pick up on any of them. In the end I was not provided with any insight or information at all and am very disappointed and very confused.

I felt completely Scammed. She seemed to be very flighty, distracted and out of it.
