Carlyle Homes lack of concern and poor workmanship should be alarming to any future clients. This…read moreis a list of what is and has been wrong on my home since it was completed in 2005. To this date zero repairs have been made and Joe, himself, refuses to communicate, claims he does not have the money for repairs and fails to follow through with any promises. (Side note, he somehow had the money to renovate his store front recently.) -windows leak -no window flashing -windows are pulling away from the frame, leaving an 1 inch gap -garage exterior stone wall for the upstairs apartment has no water proofing - no hot water to kitchen or laundry room - retaining wall is falling down - doors do not lock -warped windows and doors - no instulation throughout the house - non-efficient air conditioning -no water to the refrigerator for the ice maker Be wary of Joe's good ol' boy mentality. Do not let him trick you into believing he can give you your dream home, the product you will recieve will be a night mare home, filled with issue after issue. Joe is not your friend nor does he care about your budget. If he makes a mistake, expect it to come out of your pocket, not his. Do not let this man wine and dine you into thinking he is your pal. If you want a true home builder, Joe Carlyle is NOT your builder.

I purchased the home that I grew up in when it became available in 2011. This house, built in…read more1940, had been neglected over the years and was in need of a complete remodel. It was important for me to find someone to help me update this house to the modern comforts while keeping the charm and history of its time period. After interviewing several contractors, I decided that Joe and his team at Carlyle Homes were the group that understood my vision. While the process was stressful, Joe and the Carlyle Homes team has been there-before, during, and after-to make sure that every detail of my home met or exceeded my expectation. I can honestly say that I love the outcome of the remodel and would not change one thing! Thank you Joe, Robert, Sherry and everyone involved in "407's" transformation.

We paid him every dime of his bid and even paid him for any additional addendums that was added to the contract. He spent months on the job that he promised would only be a few weeks. During the final end of the project, he took the full amount of money and left without completing the job. He sent a text message that he was done and moving on. And then blocked us. We were left with an incomplete build that required us to hire other contractors to come in to finish. He did such a shotty job with the plumbing, it took another 4 grand for another plumber to come in and "repair" what he had done. Our lawyer advised us that we could file a civil case for him violating the contract. At that point, we were exhausted. He robbed from us...he failed to finish the job and he stole our entire summer. Beware!! He took our kindness for weakness for sure!!!
