Vegan stuffed cupcake and large soy latte

What a beautiful artisanal bakery! I got caught in the rain and came in and they first offered me napkins to dry off. They spoke in French and English and were cautious to not give me anything with dairy in it, as I'm allergic. They suggested this incredible stuffed berry cupcake. They nailed it. The latte was beautiful and delicious, too. I'm so glad I stopped in. What a beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, and kind staff!

I can't say that my last experience was the best I found the cakes to be dry and over priced. The fruits on top were not fresh and the triple chocolate cake was super dry and way to sweet we could not finish it.

OMG Sweet, Sweet Lee's... what can I say? This place has THE best cookies! So many choices and some guilt-free options too! The interior is gorgeous and their viennessoire options are overwhelming, it's difficult not to leave with a bag full of items. Definitely the best in the area!

An incredibly cozy decor enhances the already wonderful quality of menu items with an intimate comfort in this lovely Verdun bakery. Although there were many inticing treats to procure ; we decided to end spooky season with a couple of seasonal pies and we were not dissapointed with the very fresh, flaky, buttery crust sorrounding a delicious filling with the perfect level of sweetness - An appropriately excellent dessert for autumn weather.

Amazing pastry store. Love everything in it. They have a lot of choices for sweet pastry, muffin, cookie, croissant, and cake. The only thing I don't like is they don't put price on the food. So you never know how much you are gonna pay. I think their price is higher than average pastry store. However given the specialty, it's worthy.

This lil spot sits across in the same building as cafe st Henri. They dish out some amazing sandwiches and pastries. Got some food to go along with my coffee while I was in and had the pleasure of sitting down and being served for a quick little dit down. Ended up getting roasted vegetable and tomato Ham and Brie sandwiches with a Greek salad. When you first walk in youre greeted by the lovely red paint and decals. But the real show stopper is the pastries display lots of options to choose from and quite a few of them are vegan which means even the pickiest of eaters can come on down and get an amazing dessert It was all very delicious and I ate everything of my plate very easily. The downside for me was that it was a tad bit to pricey. If you're in the area make sure to grab something they even have outdoor seating for you and your furry friends !

Location: In the heart of Lasalle. Space: I LOVE it! It's very rustic, with wooden benches, red walls, and a funky metal-tiled ceiling with of course, shiny new displays. The food stuff is immediately to your left, while the coffee/beverage station is to your right. It can be a little confusing when you want to order though - there wasn't really an order to the line, and I wasn't sure if it started at the cash or immediately at the end of the counter (i.e. when you walk through the door). It also wasn't clear to me if you have to order your drink separately from your food, or order at the same time, pay at the food cash then move over to the coffee station. Food: First of all, everything looked bloody amazing. They had huge cookies, brownies, pizza, bread etc. Since we were taking our order to go (no room to sit), I just ordered a dark chocolate +espresso + cinnamon cookie that was to die for. It was so incredibly fresh that the big chocolate chips were melting in the bag. That worked out well because the chocolate froze as I walked outside so I was able to pick it off the bag and eat it. What? Don't give me that look! Service: Good. I really wasn't in there that long to elaborate so I guess I'll just have to go back. There's a brownie with my name on it =-) Verdict: Go! But be warned, I think the hipsters have already taken ownership of the place.

Delicious selection of pastries, salads and sandwiches. Great concept too: it shares the location with Cafe St-Henri which serves delicious coffee and tea. The perfect combo! I had a French scone today (Brie, Apple and onion) and it was very tasty. There is a lot of seating area and many outlets on the side tables for people who want to get work done.

Sweet Lee's / Café St. Henri is heaven. Not a slice of heaven...heaven in the shape of a big, tender croissant piled high with cranberries and blueberries, and an expertly-poured latte in a sweet turquoise mug. Seems like last year you could find Sweet Lee's pastries across town, but the tides of pastry distribution seem to have changed, and now I need to haul myself to Verdun to get my fix. And I do. I really cannot imagine a better combination. Amazing coffee. Amazing pastries. Lovely, warm, quirky décor. (The bathrooms have special lights on the outside, so you can easily see from your seat if they're occupied or not! No waiting awkwardly and deciding whether you ought to knock!) Friendly staff. Prices are a bit spendy, but you're paying for the best quality you can find in the city. Really, I can't find a fault even if I try. Love, love, love.

We stopped in on a Saturday and it was definitely busy lots of people studying, chatting, and enjoying donuts, which honestly just adds to the vibe. We were picking up a box for a friend's event, and of course I couldn't resist grabbing a few for myself too. The space is still just as cozy and charming. I love the mismatched furniture it gives the café such an authentic, relaxed, slightly hipster feel, like you could sit there for hours. It was also decorated really sweetly for Christmas, which made it feel extra warm and inviting. As for the donuts... there's so much variety. We tried a mix of flavors including passion fruit, Boston cream, cheesecake, tiramisu, framboise, and a caramel butter one all fresh, soft, and generously filled. It's honestly hard to choose because everything looks good. Pricing is also great for sharing or events: * 6 donuts for $20 * 12 donuts for $36 Perfect for bringing to a gathering or treating yourself to a little variety. Still a great spot years later cozy atmosphere, fun flavors, and a place that feels just as welcoming whether you're grabbing a box to go or staying awhile.

Might be cause the storefront is not the most obvious as the bakery is quite small. The focal point of the bakery is of course, the counter. There is a paper ticket system for service on busier days. When I went in, it was quiet so ticket optional. We were greeted right away by friendly staff. When I asked for recommendations, Marie took me on a visual and descriptive tour highlighting some of their specialty products. I went for the seasonal maple roll dusted with icing sugar, topped with white chocolate chips and a maple crust. Also took a slice of pear almond tart. They were both $4.50 each. The maple roll was densely packed and so much more than a snack. It's really bready so you could have it for breakfast. Slightly sweet and covered in a light glaze. The tart was light tasting and the pastry was full of buttery goodness. Texture is a little bit interesting because it's a cold tart, the juice from the pears soak into the almond paste and make it a little bit cold and slightly mushy. Some people might not like that but I found it ok. Service is friendly and attentive. Pastries are good but a bit expensive.

It's only down a few stairs; so I'd really call it a half basement as there is a lot of natural light, which adorns their baking racks right behind the front windows. They have squares, brownies, cookies, pain au chocolate, croissants and scones and more to choose from. It was mid-afternoon so many of the trays were empty, but I got the last berry scone and a darn good looking bread pudding square. They also have a bunch of quiches and even matzoh balls which were a surprise; plus a section of dry goods, including what looked like those round Italian breadsticks called Taralli. I ended up turning the bread pudding into my on-the-go lunch and boy was it satisfying. Semi-sweet with a great consistency and moistness. Needless to say I ate the whole thing. I had the scone the next morning with a hot beverage, but in truth it was pretty dry and somewhat tasteless. I'd say a proper disappointment. The service was also a mixed bag, the counter person was patient and kind, while one of the owners came across as pretty curt and unfriendly. Not the kind of personality befitting a welcoming neighbourhood bakery (seems by quick perusal this vibe is noted in other reviews). With all that to distill, choosing an overall star rating was a bit challenging so I let math decide. The bread pudding was obviously a five, the scone a two, the counter person a four, and one for the other's attitude. If my mind calculator is correct, that averages it out to three which is fitting since it yields: average, which sums up the overall experience and taste. See

The Long Version: So I had never heard of Rossetti before. They didn't exist when I was living in Montreal (the 2000s) and after I left, my husband (who was still my boyfriend at the beginning) and I would return often (at least a few times a year until 2019) and I'm pretty sure they weren't around then. We took a few years hiatus from visiting Montreal and then when we returned in 2024, boom, Rossetti had 4 different locations in the downtown core! What's their origin story? I have no idea. Their website has no "About Us" section. All I know is they opened sometime between 2020 and 2024, lol. I tried their caramel eclair ($5.50). The caramel icing was really tasty, but I found the choux pastry and the custard filling a bit dry. They have cannoli, amaretti, financiers, croissants and tarts. They also have sandwiches and pizza. While in Miami last year, my husband, mother-in-law and I became big fans of the Rosetta on lower Collins Ave and then once they opened the one by Lincoln Center in NYC, we began to visit that one often since it's walking distance. After climbing to the Kondiaronk Belvedere on Mont Royal, we decided we needed sustenance on our way back down and we spied Rosetti as we were walking back to our hotel. Since it looked very similar to Rosetta, we decided to stop in and grab a bite. The sandwiches and pastries were on full display and we knew we made a good choice. I had a Pizza Margherita which was huge...I could have shared it. I also had a caramel tart for a sweet treat afterwards. Others in the group had sandwiches and other sweets which they all enjoyed. There are some stools at a counter downstairs and a little more seating upstairs with a few low tables along with some high tops and counters. The ladies who worked there were very nice. We enjoyed our food and think it's a great place for a quick bite that's a bit elevated from traditional fast food.
