They are sold in department stores in different areas of the country so you dont have to get them from the shop. They do brazil nuts (my mams favoirtes and peppermint creams (my favs) as well as truflles flat little wafers and cherry kirsh chocolates. They appear to be a bit cheaper if you buy them in the large boxes rather than if you buy them per 100g but when you buy at the countrer you get to pick and choose exactly what you want. The best thing about the shop is they always have several bags of mishaps on offer. Bags of chocs that are alright but not perfect looking Last time I was in there were doing £250 gms of peppermint cream mishaps for £1 though they had some bags of truffles to. Service here is quick and friendly

I have a bit of a soft spot for this place (of of Ilkley's many tea rooms) simply because it is a…read morebit of an underdog, and everyone loves an underdog. Think of it as David, while the world famous Betty's (virtually next door) is Goliath. People apparently come from all over the world just to have a Betty's, which I just don't understand - especially as my time there was nothing special. What was a little bit special for me, however, was Sweet Indulgence. It's a lot smaller and more intimate than Betty's, and is definitely less gimmicky. It's full of older folk like any tearoom is bound to be, but, unlike Betty's, I find that this makes you enjoy the experience all the more. However, I went quite early one morning for a coffee, rather than an afternoon tea, so perhaps this is why I have a better memory of this place. Or perhaps it's because my coffee wasn't ridiculously priced, and I didn't have to book a table in a tearoom.

Entering through the doors of each tudor windowed little shop is actually exciting - you're never quite sure what oddity or quaint items may be inside! Sweet Indulgence is no exception. Inside along the back wall are jars and jars of old style boiled sweets, cough candy twists, barley sugars, bon bons and so on. In the window they had little sweet gift sets too and the staff were lovely. As well as being a sweet shop it doubles up as a tearoom, serving fried breakfasts, cakes, teas, coffees and the works and all for reasonable rates! Nothing could be more cute than this little venue.
