Attended the Delray green market today. My son wanted an açaí bowl. There was a gentleman working the ordering/register and asked how the green base was compared to the berry açaí. He was so rude. He looked at me and said with an attitude- "they're the same". If you're going to be in a customer service position at a farmer's market, maybe have a little more enthusiasm like you give a sh*t. The açaí bowls were good. I will give them the credit for the product but this man's attitude sucked. read more

It seems Sweet Blendz has started a new venture 'Poke Smash'. I love the concept and the variety of options present. Opted for the spicy poke bowl with salmon and loaded it up with the toppings and mango. Topped it off with the kimchi sriracha and chipotle mayo sauce and had a great lunch. The only downside to this meal was that it can get pretty pricey and the mango pieces were frozen. read more

This food truck was in Wynwood on a Saturday night. It was located where the majority of food trucks are next to the tents hosting events. We came here after exploring the galleries, the walls, and a few bars and were craving sweets! Guilty of a sweet tooth here;) Would absolutely recommend this truck for anyone who loves sweets. The idea was to get a healthy smoothies I saw everyone with but when I went up to the window I saw Oreo Snow which is basically a healthy Oreo shake. It was phenomenal!!! The "shake smoothie" was so light yet so delicious. The right amount of everything. Obviously not the healthiest choice on the menu but still pretty healthy tasting. I recommend all cookie lovers to get it! The owner was very friendly and in good spirits despite the crowd which is always a plus! read more

Disclaimer- I'm very picky with açaí bowls, I used to only get them at raw republic, because I knew they used real fruit and no added sugars. I took a risk when my friend begged me to split a bowl with her from sweet blendz. The açaí at sweet blends is made with soy milk, which made the blendz bowl taste artificially sweet to me. I personally prefer raw republics açaí bowls, which are made with almond milk and are sweet from being blended with bananas. Raw republics bowls are also bigger for the same cost. However, I do think the açaí bowls at sweet blends are gorgeous, and they have more fresh fruit options to top your bowl with then most açaí places. I wouldn't spend money on this again, but based on the beauty of the bowls I definitely understand the appeal. read more

FYI, I am extremely picky about my raw seafood. I was waiting for my mother to be out of a procedure at Cleveland Clinic and it happened to be a day where they had a local business market outside. I noticed there was poke and the picture just looked so good. Sweet Blends needs to continue their Poke Smash because it tasted heavenly!! They must be sorcerers because how they made a FRESH poke bowl in the 100 degree Florida heat is beyond me. You. An customize the poke bowl with whatever toppings you like and different base and meat options. Different sauce options as well. I tend to have anxiety when ordering at new places so I panicked and just got tuna, cucumber, avocado, white rice. Sprinkled some soy and yum yum sauce and blew my mind. I have tried couple of times the super hero acai bowl and it amazing super good & delicious it's a nice refreshing sweet to eat in the summer specially in Miami. Just tried their smoothie bar in Pembroke lakes mall.. Got an acai bowl and devoured it within 5 minutes. the bowls come with certain fruits but You're able to substitute for others. For example, I substituted raspberries for kiwi. The acai was a thicker consistency than a smoothie which was perfect because it was thick the whole times we were eating rather than melting quickly. Regular size bowl was $8.50 + tax. Definitely recommend & will be coming back!!!! read more
