The property is located next to the Santee River. We got to enter the slave quarters, and to think so many lived in such a tight spot is heartbreaking. Our tour guide gave us a tour inside the main house. The cellar was pretty creepy. Definitely wouldn't tour this place at night, ha! No words can explain the history there. You have to experience it for yourself.

I got a prompt reply offering 2 times to choose from. My dog and I met Paige the next morning across from the clock tower. Paige is a licensed Tour Guide and 7th generation South Carolinian. His expertise in Georgetown history and pride in the town made our time together so enjoyable and enlightening. I am very glad I found this tour.
