My grandmother recently passed away, and because I am living abroad, I was unable to make it to the…read moreservice. I was recommended to Jimtown Florist by the funeral home. At first I had planned on using 1-800 Flowers or FTD, but I wanted to support local businesses so decided to call I Jimtown first. I am so glad I did. From the moment Teressia (pronounced Theresa) picked up the phone, I knew that I could count on her service. She was patient, knowledgeable, and extremely polite. I gave her a description of what I was looking for and asked her an opinion between a memorial basket and an urn. She was very honest and told me that at the price point I was looking at I could get a very beautiful basket. She told me that if I wanted to spend more there were more expensive arrangements, but assured me that the basket would be a good choice. I trusted Theresa's opinion and ordered a large memorial basket with lilies, roses, larkspurs and filler. Just as promised she sent me a picture of the basket by cell phone when it was done. The flowers were simple and classy, in a traditional way to fit with my grandmother's background and lifestyle. This arrangement was much prettier than any I had ordered in the past by phone at the same price point and was one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. I was thrilled with Jimtown Florist's service, and in the future, I will always try local first. You won't be disappointed with Jimtown Florist, they are fabulous!

Although my flowers are Very Very beautiful and yes my husband (I love him, bless his heart) always waits till almost the very last minute to order anything!! (he said he ordered these several days in advance and he couldn't get what he wanted "pink and white lilies with roses from any floral shop in town). I feel like if I was a florist and I didn't have exactly what he wanted, I would've at least given him several or a few suggestions over the phone to help him decide what to order or offer him some colorful fillers to put in the arrangement to make it dare I say "not look like it could possibly be a funeral home arrangement too!" (Please forgive me). I feel like a colorful bow even as simple as that would've made it say "yes I most definitely am a Valentine's Day bouquet!" I love my husband and I love the bouquet cause it came from him, from the heart with love. (I just wish they would've used some color as not every one likes white or all white especially on Valentine's Day!) This is just my personal opinion and nothing bad meant in any way towards the floral shop.
