I went to Kletterwald when I was visiting a friend in Munich. I only once completed a ropes course…read morein the Caribbean and I had zip-lined several times before. I am a little but afraid of heights, however once my adrenaline starts pumping my fear slowing melts away. What I liked about this course is that there are five levels, so it allows you to warm up before you feel more comfortable leveling up. They also have a special safety carabiner that makes it impossible to never be attached to safety with your harness. They do an excellent design with the ropes course, paying close attention to details. You can balance on everything from Bavarian pretzels to mushrooms and skis. There are also several zip-lines, which I accodently got stuck on one, but someone was able to help me. I believe a lot of the staff speaks English as well. All in all, it was a great experience and a unique way to explore the Bavarian Forest. I highly recommend this.

The ambiance is great, the number of routes is expansive, and you can CLIMB ON TOP OF THE WORLD (I'm obviously jazzed about this experience). There's 3 levels of climbing -- the first floor is pretty much all slab, the second floor has a ton of different caves, the globe, campus board, and more, and there's an outdoor roof area which is probably nice to climb on during the summer months. We went in November so that was a no go for us :) Unfortunately the mask/testing/covid rules change pretty often (due to the government, not anything Boulderwelt has control of) so I recommend following their insta to keep track of what's required in order to get inside and climb.

It's…read morehuge and really international ( you hear so many languages there) people are friendly and often help you out especially if you ask. The Staffa re also very friendly and willing to help whenever possible. The only drawback is that as of around 6pm weekdays and around 10am on weekends and bank holidays it's is really over crowded....clearly because it's loved by so many people which speaks for the Biulderwelt but can be a little frustrating sometimes. In summer they are opening another one in Munich as I understand it so hopefully then it will improve!
