While there aren't too many choices for sushi in Rouyn, Sushi Shop is the most reliable and consistent place for a Japanese meal. You can either pick up something to-go to go or sit down for freshly made sushi. Unfortunately, you're paying restaurant prices in a take-out setting where you don't get much service.
My boyfriend and I grabbed two vegetarian sets ($9.95), which included 5 mixed maki, 2 pieces of inari and another 12 pieces of small maki with radish, avocado and cucumber. The wakame salad ($4.95) was pretty good and fresh. There are also snacks avaialble for sale, such as Pocky and wasabi peas.
PRODUCTS: You can buy bottles of spring rolls sauce, rice vinegar, instant miso sauce, tubes of wasabi and even Sirachi hot sauce.
DRINKS: There are a variety of sugar-ladden Asian fruit drinks. Best pick is the grapefruit San Pellogrino. read more
