Stopped in for a to-go order: fresh spring roll (not what you think- it's a maki roll with avocado lettuce and seaweed salad, with rice paper instead of seaweed wrapper) and a tango roll (tuna and mango). Both were really good, fresh, and creative. Service was quick and friendly. read more

Got four orders of sushi, one order of scallop tempura, and a teriyaki vegetable entree for dinner with soup and salad. The sushi was yummy and the teriyaki veggies were flavorful and filling. Only took 20 minutes around 6pm on a Thursday. The hostess was sweet and polite. Only been here once since we were on a road trip but we would stop in again if we had the chance. Not extraordinary but satisfied the Japanese food cravings my family had. Good food. Would recommend. read more

Ew! Teriyaki sesame chicken was gross nothing but fat barely edible. Sushi was weak nothing special and very small... But for the cheap price I'm not surprised. Service was great probably because we were the only ones there also the place was awkwardly quiet... so uncomfortable. Overall Very disappointing I won't be going back :( read more

I have been here a few times, and normally it's average. The food is always pretty good, but the service is not that quick. They also have a buy 2 rolls get 1 free deal going on from 4 on, but even if you arrive 10 minutes before it starts and stay till 5 they do not give it to you. A lot of the time they are hard to understand. I would go to Fancy Sushi if you are looking for a good sushi place, because they are much quicker, the atmosphere is better, they are easy to understand, and they give you a free roll at the beginning of a meal and free fried Oreos at the end. They are a little more pricy, but far better, and less than 5 minutes away from Sushi House. read more

Never, ever again! Got soy sauce on an eel roll and was argued with repeatedly. Even told maybe I put soy on it myself! Considering I am ALLERGIC I certainly did not! Arrogant, inconsiderate, slower than the seven year itch with no costumers in the store at noon. Unless you count the one on the phone also arguing about her order being wrong. read more

This place has been our saving grace since we moved to Yulee! We absolutely love Sushi House! Their sushi is so fresh and delicious. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. It's never too busy. We almost always get seated right away. Service is quick, the food comes out fast and we've never had a take out order take more than 30 minutes to be ready. Can't say enough good things about this place! We never go more than a couple weeks without coming here for our sushi fix. We just love it! read more

we love sushi and had been considering trying sushi house, bc it is close to where we live. we went tonight, around 815p. the restaurant was clean and well-decorated. the staff was very nice and accommodating. the prices were average. we ordered the rainbow roll, New York roll, spicy tuna roll, and a side of fried rice. the spicy tuna was the best of the rolls. I'd say the sushi was alright. I'd go back to satisfy a sushi craving, but it won't be my first or even second choice. overall the food was ok. read more

Wow I have already been back twice since my first visit and every sushi roll Ive had has exceeded my expectations. I even decided to try something I've never had before , a raw spicy scallop sushi, and it was delicious and sweet. I'm so glad I found this gem. On the way home from Pecan Park, we detoured to find a place to eat. The restaurant we were looking for was closed, but this one was nearby. We were not disappointed. The prices were reasonable, especially the sushi prices, and the food was very good. The service wasn't anything special, but it wasn't bad, either. Just happened to stop here for Thursday evening dinner on our way to Miami from NC. Wasn't expecting much as the place was in a strip mall. Pleasantly surprised at how good this place is. I had the sashimi dinner. Generous portions, everything very fresh, not very expensive. Wife had a dinner bento box which was excellent. Let me start out by saying, I have been a regular customer for about a year. I would eat in the restaurant 1 to 2 times a week. They always treated me in a friendly manner and the sushi chefs would always check on me, when I sat at the bar to make sure I enjoyed the sushi. This all changed on 7/1/2016 with a to go order I placed. I had placed a to go order along with my niece and I asked for 8 shrimp sauces as well. I went to pick up the order...paid for the 2 orders separately...I got home and my niece noticed a container that was basically empty except for a mushroom stuck on the inside We finally figured out it was soup...which we didn't know came with the meal. It didn't say so on the menu. The sushi was ruined...and we called and asked for another to be made and I was on my way to pick it up. On the way, I called the Sushi House again...and said we would also need 4 more shrimp sauces that were missing. She continued to speak to me in English and to another lady in Japanese. I was having trouble understanding her and told her I would finish talking to her when I got there. I got there and brought in the sushi that had soup all in it. She looked at it and then said to me that soup couldn't have got in there because there was a lid on it...I pointed to the crimped edges and said yes it could have right here. She then carried the sushi over to the far corner of the restaurant and showed the older Japanese lady and they both spoke in Japanese. The young girl then walked to the sushi bar and grabbed my newly made sushi and walked up to me and plopped it onto the counter. She proceeded to walk out the door to catch a customer who had left his keys. I waited...and when she returned...I told her I still needed the shrimp sauces...she pulled them out and stacked them in front of me...if you want them you still have to pay for them... I told her after all the money I had put into their restaurant on a weekly basis...and the time and gas I had spent in coming back up there to fix the sushi that had soup all in it...I WOULD NOT BE BACK AGAIN if I paid for them. I did this in a very calm manner...although I was shaking I was so upset. I tried to pay for the shrimp sauce with my debit card and she asked if I had cash. I said I don't know if I do...are you telling me you won't accept my debit card? She then asked again...you don't have any cash? I asked her...are you telling me you won't accept my debit card...She is now again talking to the older Japanese lady again in Japanese. Personally, I think this is very rude to do so...so that we can't hear what is really being said. Finally, I said how much is the sauce...I don't usually pay for or ask for shrimp sauce...but my niece wanted it. She told me 1 dollar...I pulled out a dollar from my wallet...put the sauce in my bag and walked out. I still can't believe I was treated so rudely, ugly and having to prove myself. It was SO HUGELY DISAPPOINTING!!!! My sister looked them up online once I got back...they don't usually eat there...it just happens to be my place of choosing. THE HEALTH VIOLATIONS ARE NUMEROUS. Please check it out before eating there. They don't really care about the customer...since the violations are numerous and repeats. This probably saved me from becoming very sick in the future...as some of the violations were due to high temps on the sushi as well as bugs and many many other violations. If I could give a lower rate I would, not only did I feel sick after eating the sushi we ordered to bring home but upon getting into the bag after already eating some of it for the receipt, a cockroach was squirming around between the napkins. We have visited dozens of sushi places throughout jacksonville, and without a doubt, Sushi House is the best sushi restaurant in the Duval/Nassau county area. The prices are extremely inexpensive, the service is excellent and the food is outstanding. read more

We love this place! My wife and I usually don't go 2 weeks without having to fulfill our Sushi House addiction. The sushi is as good as any we've had (and we've tried a lot of different sushi) but the fried rice the bomb! Bentos, teryaki, etc. are on par with most sushi places. read more
