Ordered Sushi Hana To-go the other night! I was interested to try something new and they did not disappoint! They had some awesome specials, like BOGO Gyoza, select sushi, and hamachi dinners! So I got the spicy tuna roll, Mexican roll (bogo) and the chicken hibachi dinner (bogo). The rolls were very good and very fresh. The chicken teriyaki hibachi was delicious and very generous portions. I was very impressed how good it was! Included fried rice and soup and salad. I would highly recommend coming here! read more

Sushi was very very good. This location has been many different places over the years from seafood to ramen and now sushi. The decor is a mash of all the previous places. No problem with that when the food is good. Service was a little slow. But they only had 2 servers on a busy Saturday. They hustled and did a good job. Hopefully business is good and they can add another server for busy times. The star here was the sushi. One thing that stood out versus other sushi places was how much fish you got. You received a lot of tuna and salmon and just enough of every else. They were big pieces. Usually it can be the other way around at sushi restaurants. They had some nice rolls with unique combinations. We had 6 different rolls and all were very good. Favorites were Hana, amazing and Christmas rolls. One other thing was they have a lot of rolls with fish both inside and out. You definitely get your moneys worth. Hibachi was average. Same you get about everywhere. It was good but not the star. We also had the octopus appetizer. That was very good. Love when you can get octopus. It was grilled just enough to have some crunch on the outside. But it was super tender. It's a good option that is definitely worth a visit. It's the newest sushi restaurant in Valrico. This is their 2nd location. The original one is in Bradenton. I visited at lunch on a weekday. It's located in that corner of Valrico Commons that once used to be a Bay Crab, and then a ramen restaurant. The décor reflects all of that. There are lots of booths and tables. I was there at a time when I could pick my own seating. The hot green tea was served in a big mug. I always hope for a teapot, but the cup can always be replenished when needed. They have a huge variety of menu items. There are even hibachi entrées and bento boxes. I also love the fact that they have unique sushi & kitchen appetizers, as well as specialty rolls. I went with the sushi appetizer (4 nigiri), and the Flower Roll. The presentation was great, although I felt like the Flower Roll was missing the red tobiko in the middle. To be fair, the menu description doesn't mention tobiko. However, the menu picture shows it in the middle of the flower. I think it would have made it a standout with that element. I appreciated that there was more sushi than rice. The petals were rolled beautifully. They have other great options like this. The nigiri was also good. I believe it was salmon, tuna, hamachi, and escolar. I will go back to try other rolls such as the Oyishi and Christmas ones. I'm also interested in the Bento Box combos as well. There are lunch specials that looked reasonably priced. Currently, they are offering 30% off your bill during their grand opening. It was an automatic discount on the day I was there. This used to be Osaka Ramen, they didn't change the sign when I went so might still say that on top. We went cause the "grand opening special" but we got there and found out the coupon can only be used on take OUT. Wild because usually coupons only work for dine-in at other places. The lady asked her boss and he hesitantly honored it anyway. We were the only customers in there! The miso soup- standard Free Appetizer- yum.!They have us one piece of some roll for free which I don't see at any sushi restaurant so that was nice. Dynamite roll- no. No flavor, not enough fish. All the speciality rolls are $15+ which I felt is crazy expensive for a strip mall plaza in Brandon. New sushi restaurant has opened in Valrico right next to Quest Diagnostics in the Publix Plaza. We ordered to go a couple weeks ago when we received their menu in the mail. Delivery was fast and the sushi was delicious! They had a happy hour special with a Bogo on some of their specialty rolls. The Golden Dragon with Mango was fresh and sweet. Three of us decided to dine in on Saturday night and service was fast and attentive. They took great care with my husband's food allergy and were very quick to refill hot tea and water. I will submit more pics on our next visit. We ordered 4 rolls, appetizers and Nigiri. Everything was deliciously fresh again and presentation was beautiful. Very pleased we have found our new sushi spot whenever we are visiting the Brandon area from Orlando. read more

What a surprise this was. We found them in the clipper magazine and decided to hop in the car and give them a try. It was located in the former Ramen place and the owners are new but the decor is not. As soon as our drinks were brought to I'm us they brought an avocado bond appetizer that did not disappoint since I was planning on trying it anyways. The Mrs got a sashimi appetizer while I ordered the golden dragon. The service was fast but not as fast as us downing these tasty dishes. The sushi was super fresh and had great flavors and we would definitely recommend giving them a shot. The staff was super friendly and even told us they are open on Thanksgiving just in case you live nexts door to the Bumpisizes.
