The above is an understatement. I would never recommend anyone to even walk into this shop. Deborah is a nightmare. In February 2022 our daughter who has lived in Sydney Australia since 2008 and getting married in Sydney, came over to shop for her wedding dress with her mum. Our daughter fell in love with one of the dresses. Deborah insisted it was no problem to ship it over to Sydney, as she had done this before. When Deborah gave our daughter the Invoice it was noted that VAT had been charged. My wife pointed this out to Deborah, as no VAT is charged on wedding dresses, if they are not intended to be used in the UK. Deborah insisted the money would be refunded when the dress left the Country. As the dress never left Deborah's shop, it was her responsibility to claim the VAT back. Our daughter is still waiting for this payment. As it was a mistake on Deborah's part charging VAT in the first place, Deborah should own up and pay this from her business. The dress arrived in Sydney much too small over the bust and back. Three different Bridal House said they thought they had sent our daughter the wrong dress. We have video and photo proof of our daughter in the dress which have been sent to Deborah. Deborah insists once the dress was shipped it wasn't her problem anymore. The Bridal House that stock the same dress agreed to rework the top of the dress. The had to take out the lovely full sleeves to reduce in fullness, for material to make the back larger and also the bust. I might add our daughter was the same dress size and weight and even tried the dress on wearing the same bra. The dress alterations cost a fortune. Deborah refused to help with the cost of this. We have, on behalf of our daughter, been trying to get some apology and compensation from Deborah since July 2022. We have posted this as a warning to other potential Brides to Be. read more

Purchasing my dress from Surrey Brides was the WORST mistake I made towards my entire wedding. Financially and emotionally. I could write a lengthy review of what went wrong but I just want to warn people to think twice about purchasing a dress from this shop. I agree that it is a lovely looking store and the shop assistants I dealt with are all polite. However, dealing with the owner Deborah has been an awful experience that I don't wish upon any other bride! It is a shop run my money and not by love of finding and giving you the perfect gown for your wedding day. If you do purchase your dress from there, make sure you get everything in writing, take photos and don't succumb to the pressure sales of buying all the extra items there and then, otherwise you'll be left out of pocket and having to find another wedding dress in 5 weeks as they ruined your first one! read more

I bought my wedding dress here a few months ago and have no complaints about my dress. It is gorgeous and I cannot wait to wear it. The service since I purchased my dress, however, is another story. I was told I would receive a call back 5 different times over the past 2 weeks and didn't get a call once. Finally, after calling a 6th time today, the owner picked up and said she could not book me in to try my dress on again (this would take 10 minutes tops!) because the shop was too busy, and that I'd need to wait until my first fitting. In other words, she didn't want to waste a time slot on me because I have already paid my deposit for my dress, and she could use that time for another potential buyer. Not great customer service if you ask me, and I unfortunately am stuck with dealing with it for the next 5 months. read more
