First off, 32 euro for one night and they don't even provide wi-fi. Yeah you can go in their office and pay 15 cents a minute but you still can't print what you need. They do have a shuttle that takes you from the campground into Paris and drops you at the Porte Maillot Metro (you can buy return tickets at the reception for 3 euro), but the driver was off schedule and we were worried that we wouldn't make the bus back. The next morning we went into the office and check out, I also asked for directions and used my limited French appropriately even though some attendants spoke English. However when I entered the office a second time to clarify a question I had before departing the woman behind the desk turned to the man and said in French, why weren't we gone and how (*something*) these Americans are. I may not be able to speak well, but I can understand what you are saying.

The people are super nice and accommodating; like other campsites in Western Europe, they will order bakery items for pickup in the morning. The wifi is included in the price; for a single person in a tent, the place is a bit expensive but this is Paris. Oh, one thing, the walk from the RER C train station is @ 10 mins and if arriving here by RER C, look for the train with the name 'VICK', zone 4.

You probably wouldn't want to spend a lot of time on the site, though there is a shop, a tiny playpark, a pizzeria. It is on an island in the Seine, linked by a bridge. There are mobile homes to rent or you can pitch your own tent. No barbeques allowed at all. The train station (to go to Paris) is a short walk. If you have a car you get a wee card which opens the barrier.

At one side of the park, there were tennis courts that were filled with plenty of people walking about during the middle of a work day. And there were sand pits too with little kiddos running around. And as you continue walking, there was a palace looking structure with a fountain out front. It was a beautiful sight to behold. The shrubbery and flowers in the area were so pretty even in the fall. There were chairs aplenty so taking a moment to enjoy the scenery was such a Parisian thing to do. Walking throughout the park, there were interesting statues everywhere. We even stumbled upon a miniature Statute of Liberty that was gifted from the United States to France. If you have some time, take a quick walk through the garden. It's really pretty and clean.
