Located in an interesting Muslim neighborhood near the train station, this was our first introduction to Surinamese food, which is similar to Indian food--not surprising when you find out that more than a quarter of Surinamese residents are Indo-Pakistani. We had fun reading on Wikipedia about Surinam and it's history while enjoying Chicken Curry with Roti and a lamb dish. There was hot sauce, if you like spice. An appetizer of Fried Banana with Peanut Sauce was odd but fun. Be aware that the portions are huge--the Kip (Chicken) special came with potatoes, eggplants, and green beans and was enough for two.
