Surface web have called me and randomly said I owe them over £700 from 2022. they say if I don't pay them by tomorrow 12noon that my case will go to court which will then increase the amount I owe as well as affecting my credit score for 6 years. I am unsure what to do and do feel a lot of pressure. Has any one actually paid them what they asked for? if you haven't did it actually go to court and affect you credit score etc... I don't know what to do, and have a short time frame to decide. I honestly don't have the money to pay them atm. they said they have been calling me for months and I haven't received a single phone call at all. what do I do? read more

Such a shame that you have to give 1 star! This company is an absolute SCAM! I started working with them 5 years ago to optimise my google ranking. Within a few weeks unauthorised payments were taken from my account. It took weeks to get a refund and numerous calls and emails. One of the customer service employees said that she planned to resign over the way that the company had behaved. Clearly I told them that I did not want to work with them. As far as I was concerned we would have no more dealings and any work would stop. No further payments were made. Since then I have not received one email. No 'progress reports' and no emails to say that a debt was being accrued. Yesterday I was called and emailed for the first time in 5 years to tell me that I owe £800! I explained the situation and have received an email today to say that they will be sending it to county court by 5pm today. Oh, and that this in itself will have a negative impact on my credit score. Despite owning my own business, house and car (and having been a single mum for 12 years) I have absolutely no debt. Debt really scares me and I have never taken financial risks. So this communication (the first in 5 years!) has been a terrible shock. I have seen numerous reviews on various platforms stating that this company is a scam and can only relay my experience and confirm that there is a clear trend in the way that this company treats people. read more

Seriously do NOT EVER consider using this company, they are scammers. I did pay one month and then cancelled as they were doing absolutely nothing, but they still kept taking money, eventually managed to get is cancelled and now over a year later have started sending me invoices for £919 saying i owe for a 24 month contract etc etc, now threatening debt collectors, what a joke! i live in manchester where they say they are from, checked out Victoria house, its an apartment building which is not even completed yet! and the address on the invoices is a warehouse on 28 mason street with a mail forwarding business in it that you can pay to have your mail sent to its called the safety deposit center, at companies house the dirfector is called Abid Mahmood who also is the sole director of another business called Manage my business Ltd registered in Mildenhall suffolk but with 28 mason st correspondance address. Investigated further on their website and reviews were all latin gobledegook with fake names which when investigated even further all pointed to the same wierd website of a company in China. so tried the links offered to their facebook/instagram/twitter pages and guess what? all just link back to the surface web services home page! this is a seriously dodgy company and should be investigated for fraud. read more

Not expected to see that many bad reviews. Surface web media is SCAM. Should be reported to authorities. Took 2 unauthorised payments from my account, one was refunded. After that they was threatening me with court, bailiffs to out pressure - so I will transfer more money to them. Even cancellation been mate in writing and verbally, after providing all that to them they not even apologised for time they waisted. Do not use this company - you will regret if you will. read more

Do not have any dealings with this company. They will take your details (usually through ApplePay) and then randomly take unauthorised payments in quick succession (in my case, it was 4 x £179). Having spoken to Zara there, I was told it was a computer error and would be refunded. Of course it wasn't. I'm now pursuing it with the fraud department at my bank. read more

AVOID like the plague!!! It's a total scam they will take your money and do nothing for it . I was promised an advert on the front page of google for one month but it was only on for 3 days. The website they made was rubbish and when you ring to complain about the add not being on they ignore you. Tried out this company for a sponsored ad on Facebook. I was told I would get regular stats and updates. The advert was designed, very basic but accepted. Since the advert went live I heard nothing from my client manager. Repeated emails have not been replied to. I've now found I've been charged for a second month. I've spoken directly to surface web and after explaining the situation they said they would look into the matter and resolve the same day. Four days later I'm told I have to send an email to complain.. I have now informed my bank to deal with the matter. During this period I still have had no feed back or been able to stop the advert. I'm told they record the phone calls... if that's the case they would see that a one month contract had only been agreed. This is also confirmed in text. Do not touch this company. read more

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! The absolute worst company I have EVER dealt with. They cold called me saying they were from the Facebook Advertising Team and could help generate me business by running a campaign. I naively gave them £180 and once they had my money they advised they offered no refunds. I became uncomfortable and advised I didn't want to go ahead, to which the reply was I would not be getting my money back. I argued about distant selling, cooling off periods due to the fact I had cancelled within 30minutes of the original call and the fact I had thought they were from Facebook to which the woman who I wont name advised I wasn't getting my money back and she wasn't going round in circles with me. I then spoke to a manager called Samantha Ellen (named on their FB & website) who advised they would reimburse me and emailed me to confirm. 4 weeks later, still no refund and had to call them daily because they wouldn't return my calls or my emails. After ringing them 3 times in one day I finally got my money back but I think without my tenacity I would never of got it back!
