When Rabbi Nancy Myers prays and speaks during a service, it is done in a manner that allows you to be inspired and dedicated to the Jewish religion and the various aspects of it. She is very innovative in her awareness, manner and style. Rabbi Myers is also an excellent rabbinic teacher who lets you know the who, what, where and when of Judaism. Cantor Nancy Linder, who sings in very beautiful way, makes you want to listen, sing, and be loving of your faith. If there was a Jewish Voice Show, she would be given a first-place award for her musical talent and religious singing style (plus, if she was on the regular Voice Show, Cantor Linder would also infinitely be awarded by them!!) Temple Beth David's Brotherhood and Sisterhood work together to provide our members with with delightful resources and happenings. From brunches and carnivals to charitable donations and involved services, it would make you attending to the nth degree!! They are very much for you and with you as a productive and needed resource!! Our Temple also have a vibrant pre-school and religious school for students to learn in all different manners. The pre-school will educate the youthful students so that when they go to public school, each of them will have a high academic status and very much earning good grades from kindergarten and beyond. The religious school is designed to give every student a need to know all the different aspects of Judaism. They will be educated for everything from history and Hebrew to Judaic art and services. Both of these are true student educational environments!! As one who has been a member of several synagogues, Temple Beth David is my favorite in so many different ways. As a retired teacher and educator, I am grading it with an A++!!

People were dancing! I wore my concert shirt from 2015. Everyone had a nice time. Always bring protection for your ears. Great sound. Wow!! The beef sandwiches were served on rolls soaked with the beef juice. I couldn't pick it up because it was wet and mushy. The desert was chocolate cake. Yum.

Finding a shul where most of the members are warm, welcoming, and kind is hard to find in general, but during COVID-19? Oy, it was a long process. Before moving to OC from LA, I belonged to Stephen Wise Temple up in Belair. We were the envy of all Shuls in the LA area... and at one point, I considered us the best... not due to the glitz and glam, but the dedication the clergy had for it's members. Esp. My cantor and one rabbi that is still there. It was so difficult to find a shul similar SWT in OC... until I decided to look into SHM It also helped that my teacher, mentor, friend, and arguably the greatest chazzan of our time, cantor Nathan Lam, pointed out that the LOVELY Rabbi Zive is now at SHM, in Irvine. (Where I live now), so that got my attention very quickly *it was kismet*. The words Rabbi Bryan Zive and Mensch are synonymous. He is a great leader- kind, compassionate, caring, WISE, and makes time for young people (like myself). I really appreciated the fact that he carved time out to meet with little 'ol me as he is such a busy man. With a little help from Nate, We started conversing, and finally scheduled a meeting as soon as it was good for us. Zive gave me the 411 on the temple and also put me at ease with respect to some concerns I had at the time. I also love the fact that SHM has an amazing musical program (& tons of things available for kiddos! Can't wait to bring my 1 year old as she deserves to be apart of a warm Jewish community and have the opportunities I had growing up). It seems like there's a program for everyone here. It's nice. I've been to this temple a couple of times before moving to OC (back when it was at the JCC), and really liked the vibe then. Their former Cantor, Arie, is such a dear and I love his Israeli flair with respect to music. Gotta love the lion from Zion. He's a very sweet man. I'm not sure if they have a full time cantor, yet... but I'm certain they will select a great one when the time is right. Big props to zive for being involved with the musical stuff + being a rabbi. I can't imagine it being easy to juggle both roles, but he definitely makes it look easy, lol. FYI:He was trained by the best and comes from great stock- just sayin'. My most recent experience at SHM was great. They had a lovely HHDs service, and everything was wonderful from the Classical chazzanut to the inspirational, educational, and insightful sermon. Truly fantastic from start to finish. Grateful to Zive for bringing me into the SHM community & I so look forward to some amazing "shecky" (Shehecheyanu) moments + making lovely memories with my daughter here in the future.

The Sunday messages were so helpful with explaining God's word, and learning how to apply it to my life. Our children have made great lasting friendships over the years and have had caring, Christ following leaders in the children's ministry,and later the Youth group. 28 years later, the Sunday messages and weekly growth groups continue to help us to grow in our relationship with Jesus and apply God's word to our lives. We have a great community of people who Love God and love one another . Our grandkids are now a part of the kid's ministry too! I highly recommend Seabreeze Church

Today there was a historical educational component to learn about the history of America - the foundational history component was enjoyable 2. Someone brought various vegetable plants for the community to take 3. Indirectly reflect conservative values; which I am looking for 4. They did not have many grand improvements - which is nice for a place of worship Ended up talking with the pastors wife Rebecca, while I was waiting, who I seemed to have connected with or so I thought... I was thinking maybe this was going to be my home church and was trying to give her my business card just so I could give her my cell phone number... and she got really offended and said that "we don't do that here and walked away". It was extremely cold and I am very shocked the turn of emotions by Rebecca's demeanor. After reading other comments that are similar - I'm dropping my review from 5 stars to 1. Before you try this church please read the other comments on how this church will not help you in your time of need. 5/5 sermon but I won't be coming back... good luck Rebecca. ------------- The message finally came to me. Rebecca's "we do not do that here" translates to "we do not help people". Very obvious and relevant based on the negative reviews. It's shameful. However, if you are reading this review and you have not attended any churches - I would still encourage you to visit it to learn about Jesus if it's your only resort. Otherwise, I would recommend going elsewhere. May everyone find and lead like Jesus.

And the band? Let me tell you Troy is a spirited and amazing singer. Being a vocalist myself, I can tell you this guy has helped me connect with the holy spirit on more than one occasion.
