I had photos of the damage but was at a disadvantage because I live out of town. Big D's was the first company to get back to me (within the hour!) Jode was very professional and took down all of the information. Dennis went over to take a look later that afternoon and called me with the quote - which was very honest and fair. Of the other two companies, one never got back to me and the other company played the "fear, uncertainty, and doubt" card and gave me a quote 3x higher than what Dennis at Big D quoted. It was a no-brainer to hire Big D and he performed the work the following afternoon. My painter confirmed it was a quality job. Cantrell builds beautiful homes, HOWEVER, good luck if you have anything wrong. It has been a huge stress and headache to get things fixed that aren't right. We have even had to go through the ROC on a couple major issues, because John would not correct the problem..... and the ROC was 100% in our favor. Over two years later, we STILL have problems. We have put in requests, sent pictures, asked, reminded, etc. But the follow through is absolutely horrible. Know your builders before you start building, and we strongly suggest you do not go with Cantrell Development. If things are made right, we would be happy to add an update to this post.
