I booked a shuttle to the Pittsburgh airport 2 days in advance of my pick up. Super Shuttle confirmed my ride and I paid in full. My pick up was for 5:15am and they texted me at 4:55am -20 mins before they were to pick me up to cancel my ride. So now I'm stranded at my hotel at 5:00am with no ride to the airport. Very unreliable and unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. read more

If I could give SuperShuttle zero stars, I would. I booked SuperShuttle to take me to LaGuardia...prepaid online, and made sure to get one of the earliest time slots so that I'd be plenty early to the airport. My girlfriend thought I was being silly by booking the shuttle some four hours in advance of my flight, but I am so lucky that I did. SUPERSHUTTLE NEVER SHOWED UP TO TAKE ME TO THE AIRPORT. When the bus was 10 minutes past the 15-minute time slot during which it was supposed to pick me up, I called SuperShuttle... "We're sorry, there aren't any drivers available to take you to the airport today." WTF!? I had paid online ahead of time and made reservations. The operator told me I should just take a cab, and that if I sent them my receipt, SuperShuttle would refund half the cost of my cab fare. So it took me a while to catch a cab, and by the time I did, traffic had started to pick up...meaning my cab fare came to a hefty $50 before tip. I saved the receipt, and sent it into SuperShuttle. Even though I had given myself four hours to get to the airport, I just barely caught my flight (think running to the gate...). One month later, SuperShuttle FINALLY reimbursed me what I had paid online ahead of time for the service they never provided...but they never refunded half of my cab fare, as they had promised. To recap: -SUPERSHUTTLE never showed up. -Had to take a cab, they said they'd reimburse me for half of it. -They never did. -DON'T RISK TAKING SUPERSHUTTLE. You're better off taking the MTA bus that goes out there, or just shelling out the $$$ for a cab. read more

Honestly, I wish I could give this service zero stars. I will never again use Super Shuttle in New York City. The van was to pick me up at 4:30. I was not picked up until 5. No problem...I am a patient girl. When the driver picked me up, he started to give me attitude about being late. I had to snap on that a$$hole because I was the one outside in the cold rain waiting! He then backed down and told me that he was not trying to be nasty. He didn't even take my suitcase! I had to shove the suitcase into the back seat with me! This was the best part about my experience. This focker was driving like he was part of the Indy 500. He was serving in and out of lanes...and then he hit a car. Awesome. So he was pulled over, which in the heat of traffic took time and had us worrying about missing our flight. Super Shuttle needs to do a better job screening their drivers. I was CURSED AT by a driver AND an operator, on the SAME night. Yes, you read that right. I have a corporate account and offer my clients pick up service and sometimes drop off as well. Their driver was 20 minutes EARLY, their email confirmation gave the WRONG pick up time, and this guy gives me attitude and actually says PHUCK YOU to me before he hangs up. I call Supoer Shuttle to complain and get attitude from the "customer care" b1tch too. She reads my WRONG pick up time slowly as if I'm a child, so I told her to go Phuck mother, she responded with "Phuck You TOO" now I realize I cursed at HER first, but you're an operator at a company, have some professionalism, ESP. with a customer who has spent LITERALLY THOUSANDS of dollars in a year's time. So I tried the SupperShuttle once more after thinking the first time must of been a bad day. The first time, the driver was supposed to show up between 8-8:10am and instead shows up at 7:50am ringing my door bell like there is a fire and told me to hurry up! When I told him he was to be here at 8 he said "yea yea I need to go". He was then rude as can be to all the other passengers and simply ignored any questions. I tried them again today, this time from JFK...today was scary! I wasnt sure if to call the cops or what to do but I was actually scared for the life of everyone in the van. The driver had extreme road rage and after he almost got into the 3rd accident and my friend told him to take it easy, he told us to shut up and enjoy the view and "thats what insurance is for". When my friend told him he needs to calm down he said he can drop us off in the middle of the highway! He also got out of the airport about 30 minutes later then he should of because he yelled at a women who asked if she could sit in the front, she then walked away after he screamed at her for this request and so he drove around for 30 more minutes until he could get another person. We were all terrified and just wanted to get the hell out! DONT TAKE SUPPER SHUTTLE! take the train or take one of the shuttle busses such as Airporter that take you to grand central or port authority or just take a cab!! I created a Yelp account specifically to review this absolute terrible service. 1st time I took this shuttle the driver was 1 1/2 late. 2nd time they were 2 hours late and on top of that their drivers were EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful. Luckily, when I was calling for a refund during my two hour wait the kind women from PH was a sweet heart. I highly DO NOT reccomend this service. SHUTTLE DIDN'T SHOW UP! We had 2 bookings from the same address for the same flight. One shuttle showed up and we asked if we could all get in one van. We were informed there was a second one on the way. We waited for 40 mins, and 10 mins past our pickup time and no second shuttle. Our friends on the first shuttle didn't pick anyone else up, they had 3 spare seats. We called and got hung up on twice, then transferred 5 times. Finally someone informed us our shuttle had arrived and no one was there (we were waiting the whole time). She then put us on hold for another 8 minutes to see if someone could pick us up. We were then informed no one is in the area - you'll have to apply for a refund. We were left with almost no money and time to get to the airport, in pouring rain. They tried to blame us when no one ever showed up.... DO NOT USE! read more

Worst ride ever! I requested an ExecuCar Luxury Van for $300 and I got an old SUV. Total junk! I spent the ride sitting on my bags and that isn't even the good part. I called an tried to complain 1 day after (March 25) but I was told I had to contact them online. I have 6, yes 6 ticket numbers from them and have not heard anything from them. The first ticket was submitted almost 2 months ago. Worst customer service ever! I will never use again. ***Edit*** I emailed them and I am still waiting to here back. Do NOT gamble with this unreliable service. They do not guarantee a transfer. Here is my experience: I booked a voucher for their service on viator for transfer from Baltimore airport to Washington DC. I called them to confirm my reservation. I got an email and sms confirmation and they assured me that I gonna be transferred as scheduled. I flew into DC, got another sms confirmation with instructions where to find their staff member. I did so, gave my details and the lady said that I will be on my way to DC in 30 minutes. 1 hour later, after I asked where is that van, the lady said that she's sorry but there are no shuttles available which go to DC and that they can refund me. I was shocked! I called their operator, first he said that there are no shuttles and that this service is not a guarantee and that I am a standby customer so they don't offer a guarantee. After going back and forth for 10 minutes or so and after I proved I have a reservation, he found it and confirmed it is in their system, but said that they still don't have any vans, their service is not guaranteed and that they will send me a refund. by that time it was 12 AM and I had to book a uber ride which costed me $58 (which I should have done in the first place and not book this scam!) plus they wasted 3 hours of my time with all the reservations, confirmations, waiting and talking with their disorganized and disrespectful staff. also, I NEVER GOT a REFUND which they said they will send! my reservation confirmation number was 1308852 my guest number was 654 all those numbers don't mean anything. unfortunately it seems they are completely disorganized and unreliable. read more

Horrendous. Scheduled a ride both to and from EWR. When I tried to go to EWR, the driver didn't arrive when s/he was supposed to, so I called customer service and was told the driver would arrive in 5-10 mins. After 15 mins passed and the driver didn't show, I called customer service again and was then told that the driver had already left...what?? Never saw a car and never got any sort of call from the driver. I just came back from my trip and arrived at EWR. I called to say I was at the airport and was told that the shuttle wouldn't be arriving for another 2 HOURS, so I'm now waiting in EWR until the trains to NYC start running again at 4:45 am. I've never had this much trouble traveling to/from an airport...ever. Needless to say, don't waste your time and money on supershuttle. read more

Had a really bad experience with this Shuttle. Made a reservation 2 days before my trip to NYC- with arrival time, flight, everything. Landed at LaGuardia and immediately called shuttle- said they'd be there in 10 minutes. I waited one hour and called them again. They informed me they were "low on drivers" and it would be another half hour. I tried to cancel and they refused so I waited another half hour. Called again and was told it would be another 45 minutes. At this point I lost all confidence with this service and grabbed a Lyft, which arrived in 10 minutes and wasn't that much more expensive. Super Shuttle super disappointing. I made online reservation and paid in advance, including tip for driver. My flight arrived on time. SS claims that there are representatives in red jackets to help at airport. There are none at La Guardia, only reps for Port Authority. That woman phoned SS for me, I was told 45 minute wait for pickup. There is nowhere to sit to wait, and it's 11PM. I have had more than a few terrible experiences w Super Shuttle, including be where the driver got into a fender bender in December and I walked 10 blocks home in the snow, with luggage. We booked super shuttle from Manhattan to LGA for 8:30AM ( recommended time for them to pick up based on the flight info they requested!) They give me a 15 minute window - based on traffic. I was at the door at 8:20, and waited until 9:00AM - NO SHUTTLE! After calling and waiting endlessly, the customer service rep said the shuttle was on the way! They did not come until 9:20AM ! I waited an entire hour - very frustrating and upsetting! This is the second time Super Shuttle has been so unprofessional! As students, we depend on shuttles for our transportation to airports especially. I will not recommend Super Shuttle to anyone on my campus. They are very unreliable! Because of their bad service, I was rushing to catch my flight on what should have been an less stressful journey! It is better to pay the extra dollar and take a cab or Uber next time. read more

Driver arrived to pick me up at my hotel 15 minutes early for my 2:25 pick up. He called and yelled at me for not being ready on his schedule. When I said I would be downstairs outside at the time my confirmation stated, he said he would leave to go pick up the next passengers and he expected me to meet him at THEIR stop at 2:25. I'm not sure how he expected me to walk to the next block sooner than I would be able to walk downstairs. He did wait for me at their stop (I got in the van at 2:30) and we did arrive at the airport in one piece. SuperShuttle costs about half as much as a cab, and you'll get about half as much service-- meaning almost none at all. Do not tip when you reserve your ride (Unfortunately I did) because my driver absolutely did not deserve one. read more

I think it's unacceptable that they try to put 8-9 people in a shuttle where only 5-6 fit comfortably. Also, the driver is rude, speaks on the phone while driving and argues with customers about directions. It took me 1 hour and 45 minutes to get from JFK to my hotel in Manhattan. Booked a shuttle to pick me up at 7:00am. Wait around till 7:45am. Call the company, they tell me that I've "already been picked up." I tell them I was at my doorstep at the scheduled time. They tell me they already stopped at my building, tried calling my phone, and then left assuming I wasn't ready or there. I check my phone. No missed calls. I ask to speak to a manager. He tells me there are no more available shuttles for my flight, and that a refund will not be issued. I ended up using public transit, and still got there with plenty of time to spare - even with all the wasted time waiting for the shuttle. Avoid this company. I have been on the shuttle going to LGA for over an hour while the driver picks people up in the crap van. We are not even headed to the airport yet. The van arrived 30 min early. Then chastised me for being late. I showed him the reservation. We have already had one passenger hop off the death trap to hail a cab because she was going to miss her flight. I would have to but NYC on a rainy Friday is not the place to easily find a cab. Terrible, terrible. Didn't expect a lot due to the cheapness, but I did expect not to miss my flight. I have used SuperShuttle a few times and have never been very happy (last time I had to wait an hour for the van at the airport despite having a reservation for a specific pickup time) but this time was so bad that I am writing a review online for the first time and I will certainly never use them again. On the way to the airport they picked me up three and a half hours before my domestic flight and I was the last person picked up so I had a three hour wait in the airport. You rely on these services to take time of day, traffic, etc. into account when they schedule you. The way home was the kicker though. The van was so hot the chocolate in my bag melted, the seat belts didn't work (despite having apparently been recently replaced), the seats were shot so that metal bars were sticking into me causing back pain, and it took three and a half hours to get from LGA to upper Manhattan. I spent longer in the van than on the airplane. The driver was just as upset as I was but apparently he's not allowed to change the route so I sat in that boiling hot van for 3.5 hours as we crossed to the west side, then back to the east side, then to the west side again, then back east this time backtracking down the east side and then back to the west side, all in Friday summer traffic. I was stunned. Honestly if I had known that that was the route I would have gotten out and taken the subway. There is NO excuse for going cross town five times. This is not a cheap service. Next time I take a cab! I think it's only fair to add that super shuttle did grant me a partial refund. read more

I was left waiting for 2 hours and 20 minutes before a van picked me up. When I first called I was told 45 minutes. I called an hour later and was told that the van had been full and left without me--how is this possible when I reserved a place, paid in advance and was told to wait for this van?! I was told the next one would be 20 mins. 40 mins later, I was told 10 mins more. Etc etc and it was almost 2.5 hours before I got in a van. When I told the driver I'd been waiting over 2 hours he gave me a rude look and said "I've been out here 3 hours so don't worry about it." To sum up: Terrible service. Unreliable. Rude. I had booked from France a SuperShuttle to go from JFK to Riverdale (in the bronx, nextdoor to Manhattan), for 8 people and a long time before arriving in nyc. At JFK, we found the supershuttle desk where somebody really rude just told us "We don't do Bronx", even if the drop-off address I set on the website had been confirmed ! So we had to take this awesome crapy phone next to the supershuttle "office" where somebody even mode rude told us that would not pick us up because "We don't do bronx". Don't try to talk with supershuttle employes, you are always wrong, they are always right, keep that in mind. Then he told me to get a refund, and hung up. So we had to take the subway, in a city we absolutely don't know, heavy loaded and tired. We paid $136.09 for 8 people, so we reached to customer service by mail. They apologized and told us that the adress we provided was eligible for a supershuttle ride and that there was no reason why our ride was refused...... After a few days, I have finally be refunded. Wait. They did not refund me the whole amount of money I paid !!!! There is a difference of $12. I reported that to the customer services that told me someone will be in touch shortly with me to fix that, not answer since this time. Horrible service. Landed at Newark. Booked my shuttle 4 days in advance to pick me up from Newark and drop me in Manhattan and paid the full amount. Called and confirmed that a shuttle was coming to pick us up before we arrived. When we arrived and called the dispatcher to tell them we were at the airport and ready. they told us there is no shuttle available and we would have to find our own way of getting home. This was at 1 am in the morning. On top, we had seen another partner get picked up by super shuttle 5 mins before I called to tell them I had arrived. When I told the dispatcher this, he told me that this customer must have paid for a full van. This has happened before when I was in other cities. Basis of the story is if you don't pay for a full van or they realize it's not cost effective to take a passenger where they need to go they will cancel on you. read more

Good God. I wish I'd read these reviews before i got to JFK and opted for a cab instead. I will NEVER again take super shuttle. I checked in to supershuttle with an online reservation that was paid for. I still had to give her all my information. Three times. Luckily didn't have to pay again, I guess she finally found my reservation. This was at 5:45 am at terminal 4. The shuttle driver showed up quickly enough. 4 people loaded in, then we went on to terminal 8, where we waited for awhile, the driver came back alone. Then back to terminal 4, after driving frantically in loops around the airport, this time to short term parking, where we wait for another 30 minutes. Driver comes back with one passenger. Maybe we are out now? Nope. On to terminal 5. Wait another 20 minutes. Now I'm getting concerned because I need to get in to the city before 9 am and we're getting in to rush hour. I've now been in this van for an hour and we are STILL at the airport. All of this with absolutely no communication from the driver. When we finally leave terminal 5, driver says "ok, you all ready to sit in 3 hours of traffic". Are you kidding me?! Horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible. Never again. read more

I had a reservation through SuperShuttle from Newark to my Manhattan residence on Monday, February 23rd. I indicated in my reservation that my flight would land at 11:30pm. Although, I was prepared for my van at 11:40pm I did not get home until 1:50am. The approximately 20 mile trip at this time of night should have been quick and easy, however there were several unreasonable delays caused by SuperShuttle's unprofessional business practices and overall lack of proper customer service. Every person I encountered associated with SuperShuttle was incredibly rude, slow and completely unconcerned with providing any type of efficient service promised to me upon purchasing this ride. The woman who checked me in through the airport phone, hung up on me after I questioned why I had to wait 30 minutes for the van I had a reservation for. The woman at the "Welcome Center" (yes, the quotation marks are deliberate as there was NOTHING welcoming about this center) at Newark refused to answer my questions and ordered me to sit down, apparently because she disagreed with my insistence for her to provide me information on the service I paid for. The driver (Vehicle #879) had absolutely no regard to providing timely service. The locator function, provided to me through text message upon checking in, had the van at my location for 20 minutes before she sauntered into the "Welcome Center" and begrudgingly explained to me and the only other customer with a reservation that she would be our driver. We had to wait another 10 minutes while the driver and "Welcome Center" attendant made arrangements for two other people to get in our van who did not have reservations. After this painfully slow process, we were finally able to get in the van where she stopped to pick up more people who did not make reservations ahead of time (more delays), including two men who were picked up curbside after requesting a ride directly from the driver as if it was a cab service. The driver showed zero sense of urgency at each stop, both at the airport and at each residential ending point. She operated painfully slow getting payments (for those who did not pay ahead like myself) and giving access to customer luggage (she did not even attempt to assist retrieving my luggage from the back of the van.) While it may be company policy for a shared ride service to disregard customers who have made reservations and paid in advanced, I find it to be frustrating, and logistically speaking, completely lacking in a customer-friendly approach to running a business. My experience last night leads me to believe that Supershuttle does not care, in the least bit, about their customers. read more

At approximately 4am I was waiting to be picked up from my apartment to go to Newark airport. I waited outside for 15 minutes (in 20 degree weather), starting at the beginning of my pickup window. The driver had not arrived so I called customer service. She informed me that he was nearby and would arrive in 7 minutes. I called back in 7 minutes and she said that the driver had arrived at my apartment and called my phone, and left because of no answer. Firstly, this would mean the driver was 25 minutes late in picking me up (ages in airport transport time--could be the different between a made and missed flight). Secondly, if he was there how could he not see me there? Thirdly, I specifically stated my preferred method of communication was by text (I had not received any), so even if he had called, this is against how I would or could be contacted. I do not believe he was telling the truth --I think he forgot to pick me up and said that he called and stopped by but this was clearly impossible due to his location in Google maps at that time. At this point in time, the dispatcher said I would need to order and pay for another Super Shuttle service and wait for it to arrive! What a ridiculous, unhelpful idea--I would miss my flight and also risk another driver not showing up. Since I was planning on taking Super Shuttle, at the last minute I had to take a more expensive taxi service so I wouldn't miss my flight. Had I known the driver was never going to show up, I would have taken a train or used another more reliable transport company. I complained to Super Shuttle to no avail. So enjoy keeping my money including the tip to your incompetent driver. read more

We recently visited New York and used Super Shuttle on our return trip to California. Let's just say that I did not regret spend the extra $$ to use their service. They showed up on time and the driver was very courteous and making us feel very safe while driving from Manhattan to La Guardia airport, NY. If you are a group of 4 or more and have lots of luggages, I highly recommended to rent a private (no-sharing) super shuttle ride. The 'share' super shuttle will take about 3 times more to get to your destination (due to all the droppings and pick ups people along the way). Plus there is zero chance of running out of room for your luggages and/or people took your luggage by accident! read more

And then I experienced it Never again I would book this service. I booked the service using SuperShuttle app. Booking worked perfect. I got reminders to check in very clearly. Nice job with the app. Unfortunately it was the only thing that worked. I arrived at the airport and was asked to wait for 15 to 30 minutes. I waited 45 minutes and then called the shuttle service. they said the driver was on his way. I could see the little car icon and the assigned driver name on the app only a minute away. Then it stopped moving. then I saw the shuttle on the app turned away and the wait time kept increasing and Then the shuttle disappeared from the app completely. I called three times and the customer service representative kept saying that driver was on his way. And they cannot file complaint or help me as they only do bookings or cancellations. They told me to wait. I asked the helpdesk at the airport and the nice lady connected me to another shuttle service. They picked me up in two minutes. I cancelled my booking by calling and now waiting for my refund. Never ever ever again. Worst customer service and experience. Unfortunately there were no seats to wait for the shuttle at the gate. Since it was cold I could not wait outside and take a seat so I waited inside for an hour and was exhausted after a long trip. How are you going to compensate me for my time and distress. read more

Don't pay in advance b/c even they won't pick you up they will REFUSE TO REIMBURSE YOU... In the last experience I had with them, I booked a ride online the day before, and made the mistake of paying in advance (Including a 20% tip...). The next day I waited downstairs at the designated time "window". When no-one showed up, I went upstairs to call and see what's going on. They told me that a driver was at my place and left. Not only was no -one ever here, it's clear that if a driver ever came he would have at least tried to call. Nope... After angrily demanding that they send a car immediately, they told me they would. When again no car showed up (in fact, I used their online tracking tool and noticed that the designated car was driving away from my place) I called again and yes, you get it, the driver said he did come. I ended up having to pay a full-cost taxi to the airport. On the way to the airport I called Supershuttle customer service and told them the story. They said they'll open an investigation and will have a answer within five days.... Two weeks later, when I still didn't hear from them, I called to inquire what was going on. They told me to wait some more. Then, when I called back again, I was told that they rejected my complaint because their records show that they did send a driver. UNBELIEVABLE. Because there are no less stars:-). Booked the shuttle to go from La Guardia to Manhatten. I came off an international flight, was tired and waited, waited, waited, called 4 times.The van will come soon, the van is on the way, I am trying to find a van...... Finally after more than 1 hour wait the van came and then picked up more people and of course had to drop them again as well.On the way back, today, they called half an hour before pick up to let me know there was no van available (they did call half an hour earlier, but did not leave a message) because of high traffic etc. I took a taxi and was at La Guardia, checked in and everything half an hour later, no traffic to speak of......
