I found everything I needed: fruits, yogurt, juice, water bottles, cornetti, anti-bacterials, deodorizers, beauty wipes, etc... I spent super wisely on breakfast items and probably spent less than a quarter of what it would've cost eating hotel breakfasts. It's as small as a Trader Joe's in the states. All the shelves and isles were stocked. The produce looks vibrant. The store is really clean. The clerks move the line really quickly. The location is wonderfully convenient. Get your practice feeling like a local and shop here!

I absolutely LOVE this place…read more As a supermarket, it's phenomenal. The selection and the quality is top-notch. Just the cheese department alone makes it worth the trip. And the restaurant is good. Reasonable prices, and a decent selection. But the thing that keeps bringing me back is the bar. The drinks are reasonably priced (bordering on cheap!) and if one is not careful, one will ruin one's appetite with all of the complimentary snacks that are available. When in Naples, this is a frequent stop on our wanderings.

His store does not have a lot, but a little of everything, including wine, beer, water, milk, cookies, laundry products and a nice deli with a choice of Italian cold cuts (salame, prosciutto, mortadella, provolone, mozzarella, etc.). His prices are very fair considering the size of the place and he is extremely honest. I found out that he lives in the palazzo across the street where I am staying, so he serves the neighborhood, seeming to know everybody that passes, even yelling, a Neapolitan tradition, across the street to a neighbor who was about to receive a delivery from his store. If staying in the area or in need of some groceries, water, a sandwich, or a snack, walk up the hill from Via Toledo (near Toledo station) and say "ciao" to Ciro. A wonderful selection of various foods with several homemade offerings from the proprietor, Nunzio Ippolito, a wonderful and friendly man. His pastries are excellent and, to my mind, stand out in a city full of superb pastry shops. A tiny place packed with culinary delights in the "centro storico," and a warm and friendly owner/operator too!
