Remembered Glassman to the Rescue when I was doing windows research in the past. They had tons of 5 star Yelp reviews, which is why they were at the top of my contact list. Texted Nancy (the "glass girl" and wife of the Glassman) and she responded very quickly. Carlos the Glassman was able to stop by the same day (within the hour!) and taught me about how to keep the older windows lubricated. He sprayed on some magic stuff and wow, they were like brand new! He could have easily replaced parts and suggested new valances to make more money but he was honest with me and said that new valances would have issues in the future too. Unfortunately the unit I wanted wasn't available locally so the dealer offered up the Hi2 hyper heat model. If you're ever offered one - don't take it but that's a story for a Mitsubishi review. Luke the lead technician from Clarke and Rush went above and beyond (not a term I use often) to try to correct something that as it turns out was inherent to that machine. The willingness to expend labor hours and materials to gain a satisfied customer was exceptional. When C&R say they want a happy customer it's not talk it's action because they mean it.

They used to do hvac repairs by troubleshooting. My a/c wouldn't come on so they replaced a relay switch which didn't fix the problem at a charge of $300. I was told my system was old and maybe I should consider replacing the system. I explained that I couldn't afford a new system and the tech explained the perils of recurring failures and suggested making payments as a possible solution. I asked for an estimate to repair and was quoted $4,000 to replace two circuit boards and a fan. I investigated the cost of parts quoted and discovered the parts were marked up nearly 400% more than I could buy them on my own. This company now appears to guessing which parts are failing and not actually diagnosing the error codes. I feel they are not interested in repairing my older (30yr) system but prefer a new install instead. Be aware if your system is older they want to sell you a new one!

We chose Vostok Construction to remodel our primary bathroom/bedroom that had lots of water damage. We knew that it would be a big job (needed new subfloor and floor joists and studs in one wall) and they took care of us. They were very careful to make sure their mess didn't get anywhere outside of the job site, took their time to make the finishes look just right, and were courteous and kind to myself and my kids. And Igor's tiling is absolutely stunning. I have high standards for finishes and I cannot find a flaw in our tile--he's that good. Eric and Alex were super helpful with seeing our vision and explaining what would be cost effective but also functional. I never felt like either of them pushed me to do something I didn't want (and as a people pleaser, that's hard!). The job had a couple of rough spots (bad plumbing from the previous contractor, and a paint color mixup etc.) but each time there was an issue, the communication was clear and they let us know what needed to be done. They were patient when we realized our faucets and other metal finishes weren't matching and did their best to help us find what we needed. They finished the job in the timeframe they quoted us even with some hiccups along the way. I would 100% recommend Vostok Construction (and I have to some friends!). I hope to use them again in the near future for some more bathrooms and a living room overhaul.
