I have read all the reviews here. I am sorry for the bad experiences, and I am sure they are deserved. However, I had quite the opposite experience. I ordered my carpet through Home Depot like the other people who left a review. I received an email several days before the installation. It said they would contact me by text by 3-5 pm. I got a text at 1pm saying they would be here between 8 am and 10 am. The next morning, they showed up around nine. I had a stair and hallway to carpet. I was installing screws to stop squeaking, and they did another section while I finished. They completed carpeting both areas in 2 1/2 hours. They were polite and respectful and even asked if they could use the bathroom before using it. They cleaned up after themselves and asked if there was anything else they could do. Later that afternoon, I got another call to make sure I was satisfied with their work. He gave me his name and number and said if I ever had a problem with the carpet install that showed up later, to give him a call. I did not have the problems others had with Superior, and as a matter of fact, I would recommend them!

We had carpeti installed on our second floor, and what they referred to as upholstered stairs. Ben abd his crew were professional, and kind. read more

I think communication could have been better. Craftsmanship was a fine. But lots of trim had nicks and moving furniture left nicks around the space. read more

The name of this company is a joke, and I can't believe a company like Home Depot is still doing business with them. I also wish I would have read these other reviews before ordering, or I never would have done business with them. Trying to get a hold of this company at any point during the process was ridiculous. I had to call over and over, and I'd be put on hold for 5 minutes and no one would ever answer. If I left a message, it would be returned a day or 2 later. This should have been my first red flag- when a company is hard to get a hold of, that's never a good thing. When I was finally called to set up my installation, it was scheduled for a Friday, and "maybe a couple hours on Saturday" for my Lifeproof vinyl. I was told someone would call me about arrival time between 8 and 10. No one called. When the installers arrived, I was laughed at when I mentioned this being a one-day job, and was told it would be several days, and then threatened not to start the project if I didn't want them to. I had taken off work, unhooked all my appliances, and emptied an entire house for this work to be done in a day. What other option did I have but to let them start? Halfway through the day I received a phone call from Superior to set up the installation- while the installers were at my house. This is the kind of communication and records this company keeps. The workers who stayed to do the work were nice, but language was a barrier. In our front entry, the installers put the new flooring over rotted/soft subfloors. I asked them the next day after I noticed it and they told me I would turn this into a 5 day project if I wanted it fixed. I said I don't care, it should have been done right. (Hardwood flooring was removed, we had no idea we had that issue until it was already covered up.) It was corrected, and did require removal of all the flooring they had done as I was lead to believe. There are also several spots where my walls and cabinets were damaged while removing the existing flooring. In spots where the flooring comes up to our cabinets there is a gap because it wasn't measured/cut correctly. (Shown in picture.) The entire project took 4 full days, including a Saturday. This completely ruined our weekend plans, left our house in shambles while we have a small baby, I had to take off an additional 2 days, and nothing was done about it. I would have never let the installer start on a Friday if I knew it was going to take this long. I have called multiple times to speak with a manager and I get the run around no one ever calls me back. This is not someone I would ever do business with again, and Home Depot should be ashamed of contracting this company. read more

HORRIBLE!! Supposed to come on Wednesday. They called that morning (after I had already taken the day off work) to say they couldn't make it because of car trouble. Said they would be there the next day (Thursday) between 7-9. At 10:15 they called and said more car trouble and couldn't come until Monday. This was Easter weekend and I was expecting company. I called them and the customer service was AWFUL. They said they would find a solution and call me back. Never heard back. Waiting to see if they show up on Monday. Shame on Home Depot for using such a crappy installer. I will take my business elsewhere!! read more

They don't deserve 1 star..... We went to Home Depot in June and picked out ceramic tile flooring for our guest bathroom. We were told up front that it would be 2 or 3 months before we would be able to have it installed. We understood, that with labor issues, we would have to wait some time to have it installed and we were fine with that. We paid for everything at Home Depot. A few days later my husband received a call from Superior informing him that they would be doing our install and they wanted to schedule a date to have the floor installed. As I mentioned before, it was June and we were told the earliest they could do our floor would be Sept. 28th and 29th. We're also replacing the bathroom vanity and toilet during this remodel. The week before our floor is scheduled to be installed, we receive a call from Superior reminding us that we're on the schedule for the following week and everything was a go. The weekend before our install (Sunday) we remove the vanity and toilet from the bathroom, we're ready for our new floor to be installed. On Tuesday evening Sept. 27th, the night before we're scheduled to have the new floor installed, we receive a message from Superior Installations telling us that our job has to be rescheduled. The installer that was supposed to do our job was no longer with the company and now the earliest they would be able to do our job would be on December 5th and 6th. My husband called Superior the following morning to see if there was any way we could get the installation done sooner, we had already had our wait time. Why, because of someone no longer being with their company, should we have to go to the back of the wait list to get our job completed? Superior would not budge, he was told it would be done on December 5th and no earlier. Guest are coming for Thanksgiving and we have a bathroom with no toilet or sink! Again, THEY called us a few days before to remind us of the upcoming installation. He called Home Depot to see if they could step in on our behalf. They agreed that it didn't seem right that we would have to now wait another 2 months but said that there was nothing they could do about it because Superior Installations weren't their employees, they're just contracted. Home Depot needs to realize it puts a bad mark on their reputation contracting with a company that does this to their customers. We didn't pick Superior Installations to install our floor, Home Depot did. Who is to say, that the night before this install they won't do the same thing again? We called Home Depot, spoke to the manager in the flooring department. They said there really wasn't anything they could do about it. My husband then called Home Depot's corporate office, he was "disconnected" three times before he finally got someone that listened to all of his complaints about Superior Installations. Again, they said there really wasn't anything they could do about it, it was out of their control. They could issue us a refund if we wanted our money back. We are opting to get our money refunded from Home Depot and go elsewhere. After reading the reviews on here and the complaints about unhappy customers that they DID installs for maybe this was a blessing. We're wanting a floor to look professionally installed, it doesn't sound like thats what you will get from Superior Installations. We will NEVER buy any type of flooring from Home Depot and will warn anyone thinking about using Home Depot for flooring installs to go elsewhere. read more

If I could rate a 0 I would. We were scheduled to have Superior come out today (through Home Depot) , and they showed up with the correct carpet. Great, all they have to do is an empty room. They say they cannot do it since it's freshly painted (this week), then they say we have water damage (basement is bone dry, we've NEVER had water) and they can't do it because there is no overhead light. We have outlets for lights but overhead is not connected right now as we are finishing the basement. No other contractor we have had out has had any problem doing this work for us thus far. They leave without doing the work and then home depot wants to charge us $100 for the visit and Stacey at Wentzville Home Depot is rude as hell telling my husband it's "common sense" to have more light available. We will cancel the whole thing and go to Lowes. read more

Superior was the installer through Home Depot for a laminate floor and baseboard installation we had done in our master bedroom. The biggest issue is the quality of the work. The baseboards have open nail holes all around, the inside corners were not mitered, the baseboards were just butted against each other, there was no calk run between the top of the baseboard and the wall, there are large gaps in areas between the baseboard and the wall because it was not attached to the wall correctly, the quality of the joints that were mitered are poor. I was not offered a walk through or inspection before the installer left. The second issue is communication. There was some floor leveling that needed to be done that required more than the original one day as planned, which was fine. But it took 3 three weeks to get my one room floor install done. I was told people would be here one day and no showed up. They never returned one of at least 8 phone calls and 3 or 4 voice mails. If Superior reads this review and makes good faith attempts to fix the quality issues I will consider improving this review. read more

They measured incorrectly and didn't order enough carpet and then expect me to wait 3 weeks to come back and finish. Carpet was ordered and in their hands in less than a week. Supposed to be a 7 day install and now it's over a month read more

Terrible scheduling department. They said they would call the day before between 3 and 5 and they never called. I called them and they said they "just found out" that their installer had an emergency and wont be able to get me in until 2 weeks after. They said they will try to escalate to a manger but I do not trust them at this point. I asked for a refund and went another route. read more

I want to provide a written notation on Superior, as I have seen the few comments here on Yelp indicating a level of less than adequate service or performance. I probably would have felt the same given your written experience with the installation provided under Home Depot via Superior. However, being a former construction individual, I can understand the turmoil of running a business and working to satisfy every customer; and there will be some that won't be completely satisfied. But I would like to post at least a positive statement and review of Superior and HD regarding my resent experience. My wife and I determine we would initiate a large job of replacing our old carpet in the basement. This task started in the latter part of March and completed in mid April. Not a bad timing considering the ordering of carpet from the mill, scheduling the installation once received by HD - got a call within 48 hours, and then the install; approx. lead time 3.5 weeks. The day before the scheduled install date, Superior called to confirm arrival time. The crew of 4 arrived and begin the install, plus moving a small amount of furniture. Now, with any large job, there are bound to be problems, and ours was no exception. But now that you've heard that, you're probably thinking that Superior did a bad job. That is not fully true, as we did have a seaming problem that needed a correction - noting the seam was not acceptable to our standard. Now here is where Superior came through. We assumed that the company may feel "oh you're just a complaining customer and the seams are going to show to some degree, and the longer Superior held out, they'll (us) would go away", well I would have thought that too. But when I submitted a service survey on the job to the CEO Mike G, he immediately call me to see what problem we had and to get this corrected. He even flew down from Chicago and came to our house to visit and examine the problem and he fully agreed that the seaming was not acceptable. To make the situation correct, we had to coordinate a new task to acquire the same dye lot of carpet - as Superior was going to replace a large section of carpet to correct the seam - HD was on the ball to find the correct dye lot, place it a hold on the quantity needed, shipped overnight to the HD store in our area, and Superior had a crew out with 48 hours to replace the carpet. Superior even covered the cost to disassemble our pool table in order to replace the carpet. I would have to say after all this, Superior did go the extra mile for us, as did HD to ensure we were completely satisfied with the outcome of our product and installation. My wife is a hard person to please, so when she is willing to state to me "she would like to have Superior do the carpet install for our 2nd floor job" that tells me she has confidence in the service. There's not many services or CEO's that will come to the job to determine what went wrong and how to correct the issue to satisfy the customer. Thanks Mike G and the other Mike for your time and effort read more

Terrible experience. The installers were supposed to leave the left over carpet to use as doormats or runners. I have never had an installer not leave at least a small remnant in case of a spill or burn, so you have a piece to patch in. I have called and left messages asking about the leftover carpet. No return calls as a courtesy. I would never use these guys again, My next move is to call Home Depot to complain. Can I rate less than one star? read more

Terrible scheduling department. Showed up without announcing arrival. Claimed to have called and left a voice mail. No call or voicemail. Reschedule was 2 weeks after. This is a part of Home Depot 72 hour install. So far it will take 3 weeks to install. I recommend keeping track of every persons name you talk to as they will not take responsibility for anything otherwise. read more

I wish I had read the reviews of this company online before I had Home Depot use them to install my flooring. It literally took one month to even get a call from superior to set an installation date. Then it took three calls from me to even set the appointment. They told me the installer would be there bewteen 8-10am. They didn't arrive till literally the last minute before 10am. Then they sent one guy to install. I had 6 pieces of furniture and I ended up having to help the guy move them (I paid for them to move the furniture). Then after only 15 minutes being there the guy asked to use our bathroom (not the end of the world but tacky none the less). He was a nice guy but took 6 hours to install pergo flooring for a 10x12 room. That may be normal for one guy so it was aggravating it took so long for such a small room. Two guys could have knocked it out in a few hours. Terrible service!!!!!! read more

What a horrible experience I had trying to get my bedroom flooring installed by superior. It took 45 days because they don't know how to schedule their installers and they lied about installation dates and times. Although the corporate office is a joke the installers were great they did a wonderful job. I complained to home depot and they told me they had numerous complaints about the company and would be reviewing their performance. read more

I have had VERY poor service from Superior Installations Corporation. Background: I started a home project in March, 2014; however, because of damaged materials and poor communication between Home Depot and Superior Installations Corporation, it is now Aug. 2014 and the project has yet to be completed. I've called several times seeking resolution, and am consistently let down/dissatisfied. Yesterday I called Superior to schedule the final stair instal and spoke to a guy by the name of Mike. He informed me that the earliest they'd be able to get someone to my home to finish the final stair was Friday, Aug. 29th. I told him this was unacceptable as my project has been open since March, and the final stair has been exposed since then...Aug. 29th just would not work. My project needed to be priority at this time. When I demanded to speak to his manager, Mike hung up on me and didn't call me back. Later that day someone from Superior sent me a text message trying to schedule the install with me, and I told him that text messaging a customer was an unacceptable was to communicated official business. This company is terrible. Furthermore, the quality of work is lackluster. They also sent someone to reface my cabinets and I am less than satisfied with the job. The stairs that Superior has installed already were done carelessly (e.g., there is caulk everywhere, and at one point the installer hot glued pieces of stair together to ensure there weren't any exposed edged...It looks like a toddler did it). I absolutely do not recommend ANYONE use Superior Installations...Furthermore, I would really reconsider using Home Depot to do any home projects, unless you are hiring your own contractor. The Columbia, MO Home Depot store is also awful at scheduling these things.... Very angry. read more

I'm 30 years old and I've been lied to a lot. Family, co workers, women, random people walking down the street; everyone lies. When I first heard this company's slogan that Superior is not only their name, it's how they do business, I was prepared for that to be another lie. Colour me surprised when it turned out to be the most honest thing I had been told in ages. The day the Home Depot store told me that my materials were in and ready for delivery is the same day Superior called me to set me up for an appointment for installation. The young lady I spoke with offered several dates to choose from and worked with my schedule to minimise the time I would need to be away from work. She was able to answer questions about the installation process and what I needed to do to prepare. The flooring crew showed up on time and were very professional, walking the entire job site with me before they began and answering all of the questions I had come up with in the meantime. About two hours in he called me in and pointed out that some of the planks weren't fitting together and it looked to him like a manufacturer's defect. He called the people who made the flooring and let me listen in to what he told them on speaker phone. When I tell you this guy knew his stuff, he was pretty much explaining to the flooring people how their wood should have been made! When it was agreed that this was a defect and the job could not be installed I was crestfallen as my home was now torn up and I was afraid of what that would mean for my small children to be living in a construction zone. The install head, I just remembered his name was Marc, sat down with me and opened every one of the 80 boxes of flooring I had and went through them one by one to see if anything could be salvaged to finish my job. Luckily it seemed like there were only two boxes of defective material and he was able to install my entire project except for two small bathrooms. He promised to come back out as soon as possible to get things done for me as soon as the reordered materials were in. And he did! He came back out on a Saturday so I wouldn't have to take time off and got those bathrooms done with the new materials in about two hours! And this floor... It's beautiful. It makes my family so happy and we love the way it looks. With the problems we had and the reviews I had read (and my own life long skepticism) I was prepared for this to be a disaster but everything went well besides a few hiccups that could not have been helped by the installers. I would, and have, honestly recommend this company and The Home Depot to anyone looking to put in new flooring. read more

I recently had Home Depot/Superior install my carpet and hardwood throughout my home and my experience was incredible!! Not only were the installers clean, polite and did amazing work but I was involved every step of the way. I received a call to schedule my installation before my carpet even came in so I was just sitting here waiting. We knew having flooring installed was going to be a HUGE inconvenience to our day to day living so scheduling ahead of time was a big help. I also receive a friendly call from one of their field managers to assure me everything was going to go smooth and for any reason to call him direct. The day the install took place we were a bite of a nervous wreck but this was a smooth process and exciting to see the old go out and the new come in!! My house is gorgeous now and I cannot thank Superior enough!! Once we are ready for our 2nd floor flooring we will be sure to shop The Home Depot again because we will not use anyone else except Superior!! read more

If I could give a lower rating I would. The installers are bullies and should not be trusted to tell the truth or treat women correctly. The Assistant manager was smug and condescending about the bad service. the two installers were rude and talked down to the person who was at the house so they could do the insulation. they bullied the young women didn't have their own brooms damaged stuff moving it after being forced to move things because the orders were sent wrong. they didn't know which carpet that they had that they needed to install. They had a handicapped 100lb 20-year-old move things because they refused to as was in the contract. they then lied to my face about stuff like bullying the 20-year-old to have a broken door open that should not have been open they attempted to open that door them self even when being told DON'T. The assistant manager pulled the installers instead of making them do a room reset they left the place amass. I got a refund and refused to let them back in my house. read more
