The doctors have always been good, I have…read morenever had a problem booking appointments to see a doctor and if you ring early enough on a day, they can give you a same day appointment. You never have to wait too long in the waiting and the doctors and staff are all friendly and welcoming. An extra plus is that these is a pharmacy right next door, so as soon as you get a prescription you can just pop next door and get it. You also do not have to wait long for your prescription. A great doctors/pharmacy.

A thoroughly depressing shopping experience at Boots Northgate…read more Dated, shabby store with surly and indifferent staff, both at the pharmacy and the other service tills. I looked at items for 10 minutes at the pharmacy counter and although 2 staff were there, neither asked if they could help after finishing with other customers. The professional pharmacist ignored me after serving another customer and walked off. Another assistant eventually served me and gave me information which contradicted the correct information given to me by a very helpful pharmacist in the High Row Boots store (the Northgate assistant turned out to be incorrect). Staff appear to be unmotivated and need to improve customer-facing skills. It's a shame when long-lived brands disappear from the high street, but this Boots store really deserves to close - it does Darlington a great disservice.
