We need a shower. I decided to give Love's a try, having read about this option online. Using the Love's app, it was super easy to book from the parking lot and pay for it. As it was morning, there were already showers available so we didn't wait. I got the confirmation immediately. We got our stuff together and headed in. Easy to dial the confirmation number into our designated shower, step inside and lock the door behind us. Inside, a big private space. And CLEAN. Sink, toilet and shower, complete with towels. They only have the same soap that is used at the sinks in the washroom, but that's okay - we were prepared. Mrs. K. and I had our showers and we feel a TON more human now. Clean! Someone should cheer that dude up. This is a pretty cheap gas station located in Port Arthur and if you come down this way you can find good prices and your typical convenience store needs. Indeed, it's a good option to get all of your gas needs when you are in town. Lots of cheap gas in this area, but this is among the cheaper ones.

This was for my mothers birthday. I was told they called and left me a message. (Not sure where they called I got no such message) I called the store and spoke to the "manager" lupita, she was cold and unhelpful. Basically said tough luck....it's unfortunate that they feel the need to treat someone this way,and not deliver a birthday gift. Maybe they need a new manager that has some customer service skills and also has some compassion for others.

And honestly they're made very well and very deliciously. So for this reason it's well worth stopping into Stripes for some snacks, in a town which doesn't have that much good food.
