On an extremely rainy Friday night, I decided to venture here with two friends. Since we were being responsible, we decided not to drive and use mass transit, that didn't turn out well, as there was a huge storm and it was an adventure getting here. Nonetheless, I made the most of it. I was surprised by how packed the place was despite the tropical storm outside. I was immediately greeted, as I arrived before my two friends. I decided to have a painkiller while I waited for them and a table to possibly open up (one finally did after about an hour) the staffers here were awesome. Very friendly, cordial and eager to answer any and all questions. The drinks were cool, too. I had both a Painkiller and Mai Tai; my sole complaint was the nachos, they were horrible. My final regret was the weather, which prevented us from sitting out back. However, I'd definitely return here before the summer is out!

Super fashioned is always my go to drink when hanging out with my friends. For sure it is a great hidden gem on weekdays at night. I recommend getting some tacos up the block after those drinks. Great combo. Ambiance is always relaxing.

It's first come first serve which I thought would be a disaster but it was pretty easy to get seats. I have a huge infinite to tiki bars and themed bars. The place was definitely island-y vibes and dont get me started on the playlist. A little loud but great hip hop/rnb/pop/dance music. Of course that had pretty unique array of drinks at a very affordable price. They dont have a ton food items but let's be honest the drinks are the stars (had nachos which were great!) All the drinks were delicious and distinctively different. John the Beachcomber (essentially me) was the strongest and one of my favorites.

I was bar hopping on a Friday night with a first date and we came into here and it was super cute! Tropical vibes and it was perfect for summertime. We looked at the drink menu and only one had a supersize, so we decided to get that and share because it's a bang for your buck! After this we we're feeling nice nice.

John the beachcomber. Large. Definitely is about three drinks.

I came here on a Wednesday night. The patio was backed at 730 but when I started a line people followed. We managed to get a seat about 15 mins later. The place is cute and has a cool vibe. Love the round chairs and the plants, and all the paint work and lights they have put up. Service always rather slow but the waitress was really run off her feet. Guess it was just volume of people they had to serve. We had the John the beachcomber- I didn't like this very much, it was strong but comes in a big bowl full of ice so gets watered down really quickly. The painkillers are worth a try but they are slightly on the smaller side. So overall- tasty drinks but not quantity wise for price. Also tried the nachos with the pulled pork and they were genuinely good, size and quantity wise for the piece. And super delicious too! Definitely recommend these. Overall, fun place to get drinks with friends but for celebrations, they have smaller tables so not more than 4-6 people.

I'm a long time customer of Super Power. Whenever I'm in the area I have to stop in for a John the Beachcomber ($12). If my girlfriend is with me we'll upgrade to the Super Size For 2 ($25). Quite possibly the best tiki drink I've ever had. Drinks aside, the real hidden gem at this place is the nachos ($7). By far, the best nachos in the city. The combination of real queso (none of that shredded stuff) and sour cream really set this apart. The only other nachos that come close are at The Commodore in Williamsburg. Exceptional stuff.

Fun tiki style rum bar in crown heights. This place always has patrons but is never too loud, which is a great option for those looking for a low key night on Nostrand. We got the nachos and the kimchi dog, and we didn't like the taste or presentation of either. However, we got some drinks and split a Fishbowl-- those were great. The bartenders are quick and nice.

Maybe the cutest bar ever? Possibly the best date night spot? Some of the coolest neon? Awesome backyard? Yes to all those questions. It was toward the end of the cold part of spring, so inside and the yard was packed. They have a parklette out front, so we started out there and the bartender was kind enough to save us the first table in the yard that opened up (if you have the choice, definitely go yard). Anyway, it's a tiki bar, so adjust your cocktail expectations accordingly. I got the Slow Reveal, which was rum, amaro, and some other stuff. Very delicious, even on a colder night. The drink prices also can't be beat. Stop on by!

I really love this place. Bartenders were super friendly and attentive. I got a frozen drink I think it was called the pain killer it was super tasty and thick and creamy, but if your looking for something strong probably not for you. I then opted for this drink in a tiki man cup I forgot the name I think beachcomber ? but It was STRONG, doesn't have the same effect as tequila (if you know what I mean) but you can tell there not cheap with the booze. I really recommend coming here. The vibes are chill you can have a conversation or play pinball. I highly recommend it! Lots of drinks with rum, and there full of flavors and spices I know it sounds gross but it's so good!!

Get the pain killer! Now! Can't think of anything better on a warm breezy summer evening. Sort of creamy/milky with the right amount of sweetness, still fairly strong. Several indoor booths and tables, but their backyard with individual table dividers and cute lighting is my favorite.

I like Super Power. It's a really cool concept that combines a Hawaiian and Caribbean feel in this urban jungle Brooklyn. There's a cute little backyard area, when you enter it feels as if you've stepped into tropical paradise. Just an FYI if you sit at the booths, you must order your drinks at the bar. There is no table service. The staff could be more attentive. When we entered we had to wait awhile for someone to greet us. I love their drink selection. They offer a variety of cocktails, and have lots of rum options from the Caribbean. I ordered the three berry sangria, which had a nice hibiscus undertone. I highly recommend this, especially for those who prefer wine over liquor. My partner ordered the Reveal which came in a cool pineapple cup. Overall I enjoyed my experience here. I'd love to come back and try more of their cocktail offerings.

I'm a beer, red wine, and neat whiskey kinda girl. Keep it simple, cut to the chase--not mixy. But lately I've been making room in my space for the mix and mingle crowd--yes, you cocktails. The equal opportunity of drinks; the inclusive beverage of the libation bunch. On this particular hump day I wanted a well made cocktail. Something fruity, maybe muddled, not too sweet, and one that wouldn't be confused with juice. Super Power was in my bookmarks and i figured why not stop on by. It was dimly lit with some island-y tunes vibing out from the speakers. Cute outback patio, but I opted for the bar seating. The bartender was sweet and super chill. I got the Slow Reveal because #angostura #trinidad. It did not disappoint. It was perfectly mixed giving just enough tart, refreshing kick from the lime and cashew milk and just enough rum, that two drinks could easily have me Drake-ing out the bar. It's a creeper alright. P.S. the drink mug is detachable from the base. Save yourself the leaning forward like I did(n't).

large drink is "John the beachcomber" Small drink is a painkiller (frozen)

Brouwerij Lane is a craft beer bar and bottle shop that opened in Brooklyn, New York in March 2009…read more It was founded by Ed Raven. He started out as a salesman for Brooklyn Brewery during the 1980s. Eventually he founded his own beer imports company called Raven Importing Company. Raven ultimately wanted to open his own craft beer bar and bottle shop where he could offer consumers microbrews and high quality European brews. The new business, dubbed Brouwerij Lane, was the first of its kind in Brooklyn's Greenpoint neighborhood. Brouwerij Lane has 19 rotating draught lines as well as 150+ cans and bottles of local, imported, rare and unique craft brews. Raven also teamed up with brewmaster Chris Prout to open the Dirck the Norseman restaurant and brewpub in 2014. It later evolved into Greenpoint Beer & Ale Company, but it sadly closed its doors in 2024. I recently visited Brouwerij Lane while I was in Brooklyn to see a concert. I arrived early in the day so I could explore some beer bars and shops throughout Williamsburg and Greenpoint. Both neighborhoods have bustling craft beer scenes. Brouwerij Lane has been on my list of places to explore for a while. The interior is small but cozy. There were maybe six other customers enjoying beers when I arrived. I grabbed a table and then looked over the impressive draught menu. I decided to start off with a pour of Mighty Squirrel Brewing's "Volare" (Italian Pilsner). Italian Pilsners are my favorite variety of pilsners, and this one was excellent. Dry-hopped with noble hops, "Volare" (Italian for 'to fly') was crisp and delicious with a nice blend of citrusy notes and hints of freshly baked bread. I also had a look at the shop's impressive can/bottle selection and purchased a can of Brown Girl's Brew's "Lemon Pound Cake" (Lager) to take home. Before leaving, I enjoyed a pour of Brouwerij Van Steenberge's "Tripel De Garre" (Belgian Tripel). This was an AMAZING Belgian beer that had some excellent spice notes. I had an excellent experience at Brouwerij Lane and I highly recommend them to craft beer aficionados or those who want to learn about craft beer!

However, my friends and I were here for the food, so that's what this review is based on. She-wolf Sourdough (7/10) - It was good bread, but nothing really special. Hot Crab Dip (7/10) - Very veggie forward flavors, but you do taste crab. Not bad. Btw, this dish comes with a few pieces of the She-Wolf Sourdough. Danish Dog (7.5/10) - Great snap to the bite of the dog itself. Bread was great. Pickles are interesting, but the curry mayo should be stronger and more bold. Simple mustard would have been better. Old Bay Chicken Wings (8/10) - Nice plump and juicy wings with that dusting of Old Bay seasoning. Yum! Fried Chicken Sandwich (5/10) - Chicken was fried well and bread was fine. However, the chili miso honey was way too much for me. Too sweet, not spicy at all, and just didn't work well. Dry Aged Burger (7/10) - Beef patty needs more seasoning and a better crust. No real char at all, though a decent beef flavor was present. Not into the sprouts, but the tomato jam was good. From what I heard, I had high hopes for the food here. In the end, it was a satisfying meal, but nothing special something I travel so far for again.
