Was referred here to get my muffler installed by another mechanic who worked on my truck. Was told it was a family owned business that was trustworthy and reliable. I have to agree with that and add that this spot was awesome! Brought in my own BA muffler system with an exhaust tip and needed a new tailpipe threw on. I walked in early in the morning and was greeted with excellent customer service and they took the time to include me in the decision making before they did anything. (Not everything fit exactly as it should and needed to be slightly modified) I really appreciated that. Would give this spot 6 Stars if I could! Thanks guys! I took my 2007 Corvette Z06 in to get an exhaust kit properly lined up. Pipe lengths were incorrect from the manufacturer so Super Muffler worked their magic to cut the pipes to the correct length. John and his crew did the install and I drove the car home. As I was headed back I heard a small exhaust leak and also noticed the mufflers weren't even in the back (partially due to the exhaust clamp design of the system) and they weren't quite centered about the car. I called John to let him know and he didn't hesitate to get me back in the shop so they could check the car out. Car rolled back in and they were quick to work on it and get it all figured out at no charge. I'm very happy with the results and customer service provided. I would definitely go here again. On a side note - I found out later that I needed an extra O2 bung welded in after one of the primaries for my dyno tuner. Due to my work schedule John came in to work a little early to get me in before he officially opened the shop. He was able to weld in the bung within 15 minutes and I was on my way to work. I own a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup that has been my workhorse for several years. Yesterday it started to sound like a badass Harley Davidson motorcycle (which I guess is good for some, but not for me) and I feared the worst.....either a blown muffler or catalytic converter. I took it into Super Muffler the next day (today) and was greeted by Danny who pulled the truck right in and quickly saw the problem was very minor and had me on the road with a reconnected exhaust pipe that had come uncoupled from the muffler. My car sounds like a Hybrid now and I'm very happy. The cost could have been twice what they charged and still would have been a deal. These guys are the real deal.....super nice, efficient, HONEST and fair. read more

Took an exhaust part in to see if they can install it for me. Overall really fast and did an alright job. The only thing I didn't like was that they didn't use the hardware that came with the part and used my stock nuts and bolts. Now one exhaust pokes out farther than the other. Then lied when they said there was no extra parts. May be good for custom piping but for aftermarket parts I don't think so. Good shop, Dishonest workers. read more

Not 5 stars, for the price. I have been getting (simple and complex) exhaust work done personally on my own vehicles since 2010, footing the bill, working with exhaust techs to get things done. I brought an rv in to get a muffler hacked off and a pre-purchased muffler simply welded on. It took Super Muffler at maximum 15 minutes. It's fair the policy they have is to bill by the job but, there were 3 or 4 guys on the clock at the time, the work load was minimal, and the secretary was at the desk too. Needless to say there was some standing around. Surely there is extra overhead somewhere to be considered. That said, for the quality of the job I'd go back, but for $80 to simply tac weld a new muffler in place, I would simply avoid this place. Didn't get the greatest direct vibes from the owner, but it could have just been were I was at mentally. 4 stars. read more

Being an Engineer and 60 years old, I grew up learning to fix or build most anything. I also pride myself on common sense and finding the "best for the money" with everything I by or have serviced. I explained my exhaust problem on my 2001 Acura 3.2 TL to John the owner. Before I knew what was going on, he had it up in the air and was welding something. His fantastic wife was the perfect host and made my wife and I feel perfectly at home. John came back in to show me two other areas that needed work and asked if I wanted him to fix them as well. When he told me the price, I almost fell over. So reasonable that I had to say YES! He has owned this shop for over 24 years and just looking at his shop, you can see that he takes his work seriously and takes pride in keeping it looking clean and professional. I plan to promote his work everywhere I can. He and his wife are true gems and places like his are becoming VERY hard to find these days. Was driving to an appointment around 4:30pm on a Friday in Santa Maria when my 1979 Volvo suddenly started making extremely loud "muffler type" noises. I called around to a number of muffler shops who didn't seem interested in my problem. I spoke to John, the owner at Supper Muffler, and he told me to come by and he would find the time to at least check it out. At 4:45pm he had an available rack and his installer Pete put my car up and examined my muffler system. He found a crack in a pipe in the center of the system and showed me the problem. Pete welded the pipe back together and for $40 I was out the door by 5pm and was not even late for my appointment. Excellent work for a fair price! Thanks again for saving the day for me! read more

Super Muffler and their Staff saved the Day! We were on vacation and traveling pulling our trailer from Paso Robles to Malibu for a Vintage Trailer Rally. Then Just before the Shell beach straight my car sounded like it was about to blow-up, I quickly pulled over! My husband was under the hood...then under the car..Only to find that the Manifold had broken off 5 inches down from where it attaches. So we began calling North & South to find someone to fix the problem, Did I tell you that this was at 12pm on a Friday? Yup a Friday! Then he called Super Muffler in Santa Maria, told Johnny the problem and he said "Come right in"! So off we went, my car sounded like an old Jalopy! We had to drop the trailer in front of the shop. Johnny was waiting for us when we pulled into the driveway of his shop. He drove it right onto the open bay, in just a few minutes he said No Problem-I can fix it in about an hour! Awesome! So we decided we might as well get some lunch, so we asked Johnny for some recommendations. He was spot on with that too! He even said to leave our cell phone number with him and he would call just as soon as it was finished! We walked a block down the street with the dog, ate some lunch, walked over to a nearby park, then walked back to the shop. We walked in and he said perfect timing it's ready to go, Wow, it was less than an Hour! The price was as quoted and we couldn't have been more happy!
