    Very very old and smelly. The hallways have no AC. Honestly I have nothing more to say except I'm disappointed in this Wyndham hotel.

    I'm going to be honest, this place was a last minute booking so I wasn't exactly picky to begin with. My first choice was all booked up so I went here as it's the cheapest option in town with a "continental breakfast" which is usually what sells me on a hotel since my daughter has a medical condition that requires her to eat more often than other kiddos. I wasn't expecting much, but cleanliness and safety should be two of the top priories for a hotel. It's obviously not for the people operating this hotel. The first room they tried to put us had a broken lock. The lady card would pop up with a green light, but the lock wouldn't disengage. So my husband went to ask for assistance, they sent someone up who opened the door with an actual metal master key and we had to specifically ask for a different room with a functional lock so we wouldn't have to get assistance every time we left the room. Th e second room they put us in had the AC plugged into an adapter that was plugged into an outlet that had very obviously been blown. The adapter and the outlet were both hot to the touch, the smoke detector had been ripped down off the ceiling with wires showing, there was someone else's trash in the trash can, someone else's hair all over the bathtub, a hole that someone had punched in the wall, obscenities written on the wall and holes in the microwave door. When I went to the front desk and tried to get them to switch me out of the deathtrap room they made a bunch of excuses. I called corporate and found out it's a franchise location so there's nothing they could really do. At that point I was fed up and tired I was trying to make the best of a bad situation. my husband went into the bathroom to take a shower and realized that the knob to turn the water from the spout to the shower was broken and there was no stopper. My husband is a patient man who can make the best of just about anything, but at this point even his mood is giving the excessive issues at this dive hotel. He can't even wash away the two day trip he just came off of so he's mad. He goes to get dressed to go talk to the people himself and there's a knock at the door. It's the guy i talked to at the front desk. Corporate called him, and he's come to figure out what's wrong with the room. By the time the husbeast was done we got a new room and the guy comped our stay. (Don't mess with the husbeast when he's angry lol) The next morning we went downstairs to find a small continental breakfast... That's being petty loose with the term. There was absolutely no protein. None. They didn't even have whole milk. So after struggling to get my daughter to eat a couple of bites of a banana we decided to go ahead and check out. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone at all. It's disturbing the amount of problems and safety issues at this place. I'm pretty sure that if the fire Marshall did an inspection they would fail hard. See for yourself. I took pictures.

    (edit) Im posting on my wife's account because I forgot my password. My wife and I made the terrible mistake of booking at this place for 2 nights, we were very short on time to make it to Sherman TX from Austin for my brother's wedding so we didnt look for more reviews and just went with it. Im going to be as honest as I can about this place and try to keep this review emotionless. Room 208 "This is by far the most disgusting and vile place I have seen in my entire life", starting with the list as soon as you open the door and go in your gonna take a punch to your nose and senses as you are covered in the not so nice smell of Indian cuisine (I understand there are some very fine and tasty indian recipes and all and by no means Im trying to sound racist or disrespectful in any way) that pretty much permeates the entire lobby...it made my nose wrinkle and started to regret our decision of booking there. Past the checking-in part we go to our room, and as soon as I open the door my nose is assaulted again by another smell, mold and dust, I cannot describe how bad that room stank, the carpet.. the blinds.. the chairs.. the bed!! dear god it was unbelievable, I turned on the "state of the art" AC system, (it probably was state of the art back in 1950) and the smell of mold got even worse, the room came with a fabulous 24inch RCA TV set with only 2 or 3 working air channels with terrible image, I tried to log in on my laptop and there was no Wi-Fi , so I called the lobby and was told that I had the misfortune of arriving just the very same day they started to experience issues with their wi-fi (right...), no internet...no tv.. lets try and get some sleep then?!? right? ... wrong, I pulled the sheets and looked into the bed with my cell phone's flash light.. the bed was covered with yellow stains and pubic hair, checked into the bathroom towels were also smeared in yellow and the bathtub was very dirty. I could not sleep there.. not to mention also my wife's constant complaining and bad mood because of our "spartan..or disgusting, accommodations, hell of a Friday night, we ended up doing the most sensible thing and booked at La Quinta right after. Oh and before I forget the"Pièce de résistance" .. I found myself with a little uninvited guest stuck on my leg.. a "tick" .. I kid you not. I honestly don't know what the previous reviewer thought about this place or if he got the presidential suite and I got the dog kennel but its not a "Nice facility" AND.... one more thing before I forget.. We also had a stripper!!!!!! walking around in the hallway.. sexy sexy 400 pound man walking almost naked asking for his "muffin" gotta LOVE IT! Never never again will I waste my time trying to book for anything with the word "Hotel" or "Motel" I also have pictures to prove I just need to figure out how to upload and I most definitely will.

    The staff are very cordial and do their best to assist guests…read more A few issues, no telephone or clock in the room. The sofa bed had obviously used sheets by a prior guest. The springs in the sofa bed poked into the guest to where sleep is impossible by folding a blanket double over the mattress the springs became tolerable. Clean sheets and one blanket were in the closet for the sofa bed but no pillow cases for the two pillows. The main big tv kept going offline and was constantly inoperative. One of the wash cloths in the bathroom was rolled up as if clean and upon opening it up inside was a lot of what appeared to be dried blood. The parking lot has a lot of nails and sharp screws in the lot as well as broken glass that can easily puncture tires. All around the building there was a lot of cigarette butts and these were frequently being tracked on shoes into the building. Very few disability parking spaces. The disability parking spaces are nice and flat to easily accommodate individuals with disabilities. The downside to the disability spaces is that within a couple feet of the nearest door, staff have chairs that they sit and smoke causing everyone entering near the disability spaces to traverse through cigarette smoke. The bag holder for picking up after Fido only one had a few bags as the others were empty. The breakfast area was nice but coffee was only available in the lobby for self service during the breakfast hours. The variety offered for breakfast was adequate. The tables were kept clean. Plastic spoons were individually wrapped but not plastic knives or forks. Most LaQuinta's provide additional coffee flavoring such as coffee mate hazelnut but not this one. Generally the coffee, tea bags, hot chocolate and hot water is available for self service 24/7 but not at this one. Very little insulation in the doors so anyone walking down the hall hears all guests conversations. This facility gets a lot of guests so staff are very busy and have little time for doing anything extra.

However, the place smelled really weird, and the floors felt like they were sagging when I walked across them. They had a wooden pallet outside on the walkway where there was a giant square of mud. It was not impressive. I do like that the parking lot is big and there's plenty of space to park your vehicle. The bathroom was a good size and overall, it was fine. I'd stay here again if I absolutely had to, but I hope I don't. The smell alone is enough to keep me away.

Prior to check in my husband and I called and confirmed our two rooms, one for us and one for my mom. When we arrived our rooms had been separated. The hotel needs an update from furniture to carpet. At breakfast this morning there were no knives to help spread butter or cream cheese or help cut the Waffles. The Waffles was the best part. After waiting over 10 minutes for eggs and sausage to come out our Waffles were cold. My husband is a Lifetime Gold Elite Member and was not acknowledged at check in or out. We asked for a late check out so we could check out after the funeral and repass and not have to load our car with kids and luggage for the 11 am check out. The front desk gave him until 11:30, Hilton is so much more accommodating. I would not recommend this property until updates and service is better. The agent didn't know what a bereavement rate was.

The bed was comfy and there's a single barn door that tolls to cover both the closet and bathroom. There's no fan noise in bathroom so you will hear everything that's happening in there, which might be uncomfortable. We had a mostly positive experience, however, a few negatives. If you have chemical sensitivities, steer clear of this spot. Air quality in the room was fine, but the common areas were INTENSE. We were in the midst of a 2 day trip with refrigerated items, we made sure when reserving that there was a fridge in the room. The mini fridge in our room was not even slightly cold. I asked the staff member at the desk about this and he said it may be frozen up, unplug it for a few hours and then turn it back on. I said, but i have things that need to be cold. He did not have a solution for that, which I think was not the best customer service. My solution was to fill bags with ice from machine to put on food. They do allow pets which was a bonus for us.
