WHAT MUST IMPROVE: 1. Room Cleanliness a. There was standing water in the sink when I got to the room. b. The room smelled of feces c. The blanket had white stains, I'm not even going to guess what bodily fluids it was. d. The hall smells of old beer. That coupled with no A/C made for a very bad experience. 2. SAFETY a. Stray cats everywhere. b. Broken fixtures. 3. Standing water in the sink 4. Busted A/C 5. The brand new shower has no pressure because it leaks so bad it sprayed water backwards and out of the shower, soaking the wall, towels and the floor. I used the towels to mop the floor so I wouldn't slip, trip or fall. I'm traveling the Southern United States staying at Wyndham properties. I understand, you get what you pay for. I was in Amarillo when I booked the room. I thought I was paying a couple extra bucks for a nicer economy room. Not the case, Very unfortunate experience. read more

If I could give this place a 0 star with a sh*t emoji I would, this place is the worse of the worst we walked in and left and booked at another hotel within 15 min. A prostitute with one leg wouldn't bring a John here! The toilet was well on its way out the front door, blood on the walls! I didn't know if it was still crime scene or never been cleaned up from it, roaches where basically anywhere you looked or smashed on the walls, holes where though out room and I'm sure i heard and seen a tiny creature peak its eyes out of an unsafe electric socket. But the kicker was the cum stain on the side of the bed that even ray Charles can see that it was human bodily fluids! This place shouldn't even be available or allowed to be booked, you may walk out with something you can't get rid of. Then don't get me started on the drug activity and anyone can get Walk in and out with a card in the back door which I feel is definitely not safe. So if you value your life in and entirely I don't care how cheap it is stay away!!! read more

My husband and I had a reservation for this location after a night out. We arrived at 0420 to check in, no one was available in the front office, there was not a staff member there to answer the phone or the door bell, so we could not check in. We ultimately had to go next door and pay a large fee for 6 hours to rest after being on the road. We tried to cancel the reservation in person the next "official morning "and again, noone would answer the door or phone. Our card was charged, we tried to call the customer service to have the amount refunded and were told they were not able to do so without hearing from the hotel. They themselves could not contact them and so we were told to wait for 10 days and then they might send a check in the mail. This was a terrible experience, its a shitty hotel, jt looks dirty, reeks of sewer in parking lot. I will never stay in any property affiliated with Wyndham, if I could give this property and organization zero stars I would. Please read this review, save yourself the time, money, and sanity. If I could give it half a star I would flat out terrible place to stay. ROACHES, ROACHES, AND MORE ROACHES. Like seriously people a little febreeze goes a long way it smelt like a basement everything felt damp the ac soaked up the entire floor by the window. My stay was disgusting there was not one night where I could take even a slightly warm shower I know people in prison who get better treatment than you will here. They're quick to kick out an oversleeping paying customer but the roaches get to stay free of charge. Waste of money. Room service is a joke they just come in look through your stuff throw out what they feel you don't need even if you brought it in and make dirty sheets the entire time you're there so don't think they're clean when you come in the room. read more

I'm going to be honest, this place was a last minute booking so I wasn't exactly picky to begin with. My first choice was all booked up so I went here as it's the cheapest option in town with a "continental breakfast" which is usually what sells me on a hotel since my daughter has a medical condition that requires her to eat more often than other kiddos. I wasn't expecting much, but cleanliness and safety should be two of the top priories for a hotel. It's obviously not for the people operating this hotel. The first room they tried to put us had a broken lock. The lady card would pop up with a green light, but the lock wouldn't disengage. So my husband went to ask for assistance, they sent someone up who opened the door with an actual metal master key and we had to specifically ask for a different room with a functional lock so we wouldn't have to get assistance every time we left the room. Th e second room they put us in had the AC plugged into an adapter that was plugged into an outlet that had very obviously been blown. The adapter and the outlet were both hot to the touch, the smoke detector had been ripped down off the ceiling with wires showing, there was someone else's trash in the trash can, someone else's hair all over the bathtub, a hole that someone had punched in the wall, obscenities written on the wall and holes in the microwave door. When I went to the front desk and tried to get them to switch me out of the deathtrap room they made a bunch of excuses. I called corporate and found out it's a franchise location so there's nothing they could really do. At that point I was fed up and tired I was trying to make the best of a bad situation. my husband went into the bathroom to take a shower and realized that the knob to turn the water from the spout to the shower was broken and there was no stopper. My husband is a patient man who can make the best of just about anything, but at this point even his mood is giving the excessive issues at this dive hotel. He can't even wash away the two day trip he just came off of so he's mad. He goes to get dressed to go talk to the people himself and there's a knock at the door. It's the guy i talked to at the front desk. Corporate called him, and he's come to figure out what's wrong with the room. By the time the husbeast was done we got a new room and the guy comped our stay. (Don't mess with the husbeast when he's angry lol) The next morning we went downstairs to find a small continental breakfast... That's being petty loose with the term. There was absolutely no protein. None. They didn't even have whole milk. So after struggling to get my daughter to eat a couple of bites of a banana we decided to go ahead and check out. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone at all. It's disturbing the amount of problems and safety issues at this place. I'm pretty sure that if the fire Marshall did an inspection they would fail hard. See for yourself. I took pictures. read more

My wife and I made the terrible mistake of booking at this place for 2 nights, we were very short on time to make it to Sherman TX from Austin for my brother's wedding so we didnt look for more reviews and just went with it. Im going to be as honest as I can about this place and try to keep this review emotionless. Room 208 "This is by far the most disgusting and vile place I have seen in my entire life", starting with the list as soon as you open the door and go in your gonna take a punch to your nose and senses as you are covered in the not so nice smell of Indian cuisine (I understand there are some very fine and tasty indian recipes and all and by no means Im trying to sound racist or disrespectful in any way) that pretty much permeates the entire lobby...it made my nose wrinkle and started to regret our decision of booking there. Past the checking-in part we go to our room, and as soon as I open the door my nose is assaulted again by another smell, mold and dust, I cannot describe how bad that room stank, the carpet.. the blinds.. the chairs.. the bed!! dear god it was unbelievable, I turned on the "state of the art" AC system, (it probably was state of the art back in 1950) and the smell of mold got even worse, the room came with a fabulous 24inch RCA TV set with only 2 or 3 working air channels with terrible image, I tried to log in on my laptop and there was no Wi-Fi , so I called the lobby and was told that I had the misfortune of arriving just the very same day they started to experience issues with their wi-fi (right...), no internet...no tv.. lets try and get some sleep then?!? right? ... wrong, I pulled the sheets and looked into the bed with my cell phone's flash light.. the bed was covered with yellow stains and pubic hair, checked into the bathroom towels were also smeared in yellow and the bathtub was very dirty. I could not sleep there.. not to mention also my wife's constant complaining and bad mood because of our "spartan..or disgusting, accommodations, hell of a Friday night, we ended up doing the most sensible thing and booked at La Quinta right after. Oh and before I forget the"Pièce de résistance" .. I found myself with a little uninvited guest stuck on my leg.. a "tick" .. I kid you not. I honestly don't know what the previous reviewer thought about this place or if he got the presidential suite and I got the dog kennel but its not a "Nice facility" AND.... one more thing before I forget.. We also had a stripper!!!!!! walking around in the hallway.. sexy sexy 400 pound man walking almost naked asking for his "muffin" gotta LOVE IT! Never never again will I waste my time trying to book for anything with the word "Hotel" or "Motel" I also have pictures to prove I just need to figure out how to upload and I most definitely will. read more

The first room we were given would earn a (generous) half star... and that's only because of the low price. It smelled mildewy upon entering and neither the TV, telephone or bedsides light fixtures worked. After getting fresh light bulbs from front desk staff, we discovered the lamp fixtures were so loosely wired, not only did they not work still, they were clear fire code violations. The front desk staff was very friendly and "wanted us to be happy" so they changed us to a much better room, everything worked, modest but nice. Solid two stars. The staff gets props for great attitude and helpfulness. Definitely scope out the room and speak to the front desk if unhappy, because the bottom of the barrel is deep. read more

theres bugs, everywhere. just over all dirty and gross. the front desk was rude. reeks of cigarettes.

The day of check in there was no smoke detector. I reported it and was told it did not matter. I said "yes it does it is a fire regulation". The man at the front desk said he would call housekeeping. No one came the first day. The second day it was not installed. at 930PM I reported it again and told the front desk person that if it was not in the next day I was going to call the fire department. Within 15 minutes it was installed. The refrigerator did not work and their Continental Breakfast was a joke. Unless you got there at 6AM they were out of most items. The rooms smelled mildewy and the wi fi only worked half the time. On the third day I noticed bites scattered over my body. I thought it was mosquitoes. There were more the next day. I reported it to the person at the front desk and he denied there was an issue. I told him there were bites all over me and he said it couldn't be. I went home the next day and researched it and sure enough...bed bug bites. I will NEVER stay at a Super 8 Motel again. The last night of our travels we stayed at a Travellodge and for $10 more there was a world of difference. read more
