I stayed here once so far. My review my fluctuate depending on future experiences. During this stay…read moreI had to drive back and forth from Danville. Danvilles hotels unfortunately have a reputation of having roaches or bed bugs-thats a no from me. I'd rather drive. I chose this hotel based on reviews. As someone familiar with military dorms , this place brought back some nostalgia. Pros- breakfast offered fresh fruit, cereal (with oatmilk optional!), bagels, eggs, potato, bacon and fresh coffee and juice. The bread tasted fresh not stale. And the coffee was rich (they use Starbucks ground coffee). The place is aged and the surrounding buildings are still abandoned after the Air Force base closed, but the hotel itself is clean and bug free , though there were giant mosquitoes outside. The room itself has a dorm feel even with a walk in closet and kitchenette (no hot plate or stove). There are definitely areas that the room could use replacement, like the shower floor or aged tiles on the bathroom floor. But there was no mold present in the bathroom including the shower curtain and the pressure of the water was fantastic. I checked the room for bugs and stains or hair that wasn't mine. I was pleased not finding any. I even checked the coffee pot where bugs usually hang out or the microwave, non present either. The only place was the shower stopper that had hair in it that wasn't mine that looked like it wasn't mine and was missed by housekeeping. I'll give them a pass for that. Also they don't come by and clean the rooms between days you stay there but they're nice enough to help you out with towels or what not if you need it. Also I drove around the neighborhood trying to see the sketchy vibe someone mentioned. As someone that grew up in the hood in LA, I didn't get that same hood vibe. It's definitely poverty stricken but people keep to themselves anyway. I'm visiting Danville again in December and already rebooked my stay.

Much cheaper than the hotels closer to campus, but not far from campus by car. It's out in the middle of nowhere, this used to be a military base of some sort and it feels like an abandoned military base. It's in that third stage of life for a motel, taken over by a South Asian immigrant family, it's run down and old, but clean and friendly. The Wifi wasn't working, and I had a lot of work to do, so that was a big negative. They were overwhelmed with travelers on their way to the Path of Totality for the 2024 solar eclipse, it was a long wait to check in and a long walk from the far end of the packed parking lot. My desk chair was missing a wheel. The only food around is Domino's delivery, which is America's saddest meal. I've stayed in worse.

We had to walk to the front desk every night when we got back. The man in the office just continued his phone call on his cell....acting as if I was bothering him. In the last year this has become a horrible shit hole! Do not stay here!!!!!!

This place looks nice from the photos online HOWEVER it is far from that. I am not a germaphobe…read morebut I went to walmart to buy Lysol and wipes. The back of the door was filthy, the lights switches and gold plated frame by the beds were gross. I noticed on one of the beds the sheet on the corner looked like it had mold or it was just stained. I showed it to the gentleman who came to question me about the dog and he told me housekeeping was gone for the day already they would change it tomorrow unfortunately we were leaving the next day. When we arrived we couldn't get the TV to go on so the gentleman from the front desk got the TV turned on but didn't know how to get it to work with the remote and said maintenance man would be there about 9 PM. I have Dish at home so I was a little familiar and I got it to work. when we checked in my husband told them we had one pet, and he paid the amount due and got our keys. The next day Saturday we had just pulled in the parking lot from being gone all day. I was walking the dog another when a gentleman comes up and asks "my manager says did you pay for the dog?" First of all they should know if we paid or not second of all I asked my husband he said I would assume so as we told them Jim we had her when we checked in. He told me I would have to pay for her as they didn't show that it was paid. one that was not our fault we told you we had the dog and if you didn't charge us upfront that's not our mistake. I agreed I would go pay the front desk for the two nights. We proceeded to enter a room at maybe around 4:00 PM after being gone all day and the room smelled like pot and either someone was in our room smoking pot or the maid was. When I went to the front desk to pay for the dog The one gentleman who checked us in the evening before they said don't worry about the dog fee. So they probably realize they didn't charge us from the beginning but I was willing to pay no big deal. I proceeded to tell them that our room smelled like pot when we came back and they talked in their own language to each other of course which I couldn't understand and they said of course no one else would have been in the room but I find that hard to believe since the smell was so strong. If you look at the pool pictures online and would have seen what it looked like when we were there it's like night and day obviously it was not up and running the fence was all chipped and peeling paint. We stayed at this hotel as it was close To the sports complex but if we ever go back we will stay somewhere else. We did not even think about going to the continental breakfast after seeing our room the evening we checked in.

They initially gave me a room with no bed (likely the living room area for a suite) and they immediately fixed the problem. Once I got into my room, it was relaxing and wonderful. The king rooms have a walk in shower and the twin queen bed rooms have a bathtub/shower combo. I mention this as those traveling with kids might prefer the tub option. Every room has a mini fridge. Traveling with little ones here is nice because they can offer a microwave in your room if requested. Made a big difference for us traveling with a young one. The gym is small but they do have a peloton bike among other equipment like free weights and other cardio equipment. Complimentary breakfast has warm savory options like egg burritos both with and without meat. They also offer oatmeal, fruit, yogurt and bagels with plenty of refreshments. Parking is free and easy to find. There's also a complimentary shuttle to take you to places on campus if you have no car. There are also bikes at the hotel to get around. All in all, we enjoyed our stay as did our guests for graduation.
