That's exactly the feeling I got. Lindsay was amazing. When we originally made our reservations, they only had a king room available. There were three of us, and we figured we would have to get an air mattress for our son. I called to see if there were any cancellations for a double queen room. Lindsay was so accommodating and was able to move us to one. She saved us from having to go buy something for our son to sleep on. When we arrived, Lindsay was at the desk. Again, amazing customer service! She is exactly who you want making your first impression: smiling, welcoming, and providing excellent customer service. The next day, my husband met who he thought was the manager, and I am sorry I don't have her name. She told him that they offer a discount to families coming in to tour the welding institute. My husband didn't ask for that discount, so I asked as we were coming back from the school. Again, excellent customer service! Our rate was adjusted. I appreciated the kindness. The breakfast area was comfortable, and food was good to get your day started. The coffee machine, I have to say was amazing. It grinds your beans for each cup. It was so fresh. The tea selection was excellent, too. I enjoyed many cups of hot tea while I was taking breaks from my men. Lol Checkout was not as great. The women with the pink hair was not as warm and friendly as the employees we had previously encountered. I told her about the tv and sink, which didn't seem to phase her. She did write it down, but she offered no apologies. I also asked her to make sure the right card was charged. When I received the receipt the charge went to an old card I don't use. If we received that customer service upon check-in, it would have set a different tone for our experience. Combined with the TV not working correctly and the sink not working, it would have not felt like a five star experience. I am still giving five stars because of the two amazing employees we encountered earlier. Their kindness and excellent customer service made a lasting impression. The shower was fantastic with great water pressure and a curtain that was both long and wide. The big negative was that the internet connection was awful. I didn't really have an issue using my phone for emails and Facebook, but my husband and son had a terrible time trying to use their tablet and laptop. Also, our keys didn't work the next morning when we tried to get back into the room after fetching a luggage cart.

The massages we got were also wonderful. Food- 5/5 all of the food was delicious and freshly made. The morning baked goods were my favorite. Room-4/5 the Bali Hai room was comfortable and pretty quiet. The only thing we noticed was a musty mildew smell in the room. Maybe from the air conditioner? Property- 5/5- views are amazing. They have a heated pool, hot tub, sauna, and fire pit as well. Overall we had a lovely time and would return again. It's an easy one hour drive from KC. It would also be fun to rent the entire property for a family reunion or weekend with friends.
