The Super 8 was reasonable. It was clean and affordable. The man at the front desk, possibly the owner or manager, was very helpful and pleasant. If I could give this place 0 stars, that would still be generous. Firstly, the woman working the front counter came out of the office wearing pajamas after we stood there for 10 minutes. She checked us out and we went to our room. I was genuinely waiting for a hidden camera crew to come out because I thought we were being Punk'd with the level of disgusting the room was. You'll see in my photos, multiple unidentified stains on the bedding, chairs, and other surfaces. Even the ceiling?? How that happens, I don't know. The peephole had chewing gum in it and the bathroom was missing tiles. The lock on the door was literally, I kid you not, held on by a breadtie. I unzipped the mattress covers and saw clear signs of bed bugs after investigating with my phone flashlight. We went to the front desk and asked for a new room. Showed the lady pictures and she said, "Well, that's under the mattress cover." Okay??? You still sleep ON that mattress. She showed us another room, which was just as disgusting as the first one. We asked for written proof for a refund and she said they don't do that. VERY suspicious and we'll be speaking with our bank to dispute the charge. I'm also emailing photos to the management, which by the looks of his replies to other reviews, will probably fall on deaf ears. Do yourself a favor and don't touch this place with a 2-mile pole. Excuse me while I go shower 12 times and drown myself in sanitizer after stepping foot in this hotel. YUCK! Drive the extra 20 minutes to Drury Inn, it's much nicer. read more

Horrible place to stay. We had the larger room with a hot tub and choosing this place was a mistake. Hot tub was broken, the room was dated, it was dirty with old furniture with stains all over. Hotel was very warn, stained, and out dated. I checked online for the price, it was 60 bucks plus tax, by the time I got there it cost me 80, small jump I guess. Room was warn, towels where stained, cigarette burns on the bed and sheets. Room had cleanliness was that of a quick going over. KEEP DRIVING! This hotel is dirty! First thing I did when I got my room was check the bed. The sheets were dirty - hair on the pillows and sheets! The phone didn't work and one light was out. They had me change rooms - the next one wasn't much better. Walls are paper thin - you hear everything. Rugs and floors were filthy. Owner kept telling me in 2022 they are going to upgrade. How does that help me now? They need to tear this place down and start all over. read more

This property is not deserving of the bad reviews. It's a motel in Kennett, MO, not the Ritz. It is an older property with a little wear and tear, but it was clean and the staff was very polite and attentive during our stay. It is family owned and they are doing their best. read more

The worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The second floor smelled like a dead body so we asked to be moved and they acted offended. Our keys stopped working multiple times and we got yelled at for asking for new ones. No new bedsheets, towels, nothing. You get shampoo packets and a prison style bar of soap. Went here because it was close to where we were hunting and was the only place available. 30 minutes in we heard the wall sconces in our room buzzing and they shorted out. we moved one room over put all our food in the fridge (fresh sausage we just painstakingly made) Phones didnt charge the first night the second night we found out why, the power had been cutting in and out and the fridge died all our meat rotted. Manager said we should have checked to see if the fridge was plugged into a switched outlet and basically called us idiots. Place has major electrical issues and the more recent reviews reflect that as well. Better than sleeping outside but not by much. Looks like everywhere else booked again I will be better prepared this year, bringing charging packs and a cooler. This hotel is as close to roughing it as it gets under a roof. read more

This hotel will make u wish u stayed home. First I walk into the lobby and stand at the front desk for ten minutes and no one is anywhere to be found. I ring the bell and still nothing then a young lady who I assumed rolled out of bed to see what was going on. She was fast and helpful so I won't hold the extremely casual dress code against her. As I'm walking down the hall to my room I realize the carpet in the hallway is wet ( maybe leak, maybe from the storm a few days ago) but then the odd smell. It's between a dirty pet store and stale pizza. I walk into my room it seems fit enough for a cheap room. Then notice my shoes are sticking to the carpet and it smells like someone spilt shampoo on the floor. Ok maybe they just cleaned the floors, idk. Then I go to log into the WiFi. The room I was in is out of range. So I turn in the tv they say they have cable and select channels. Well that was a no go. So I sit on the bed debating sleeping in my car. Not being from this area I've only heard sketchy things so I decided suck it up and stick it out. Well we all know the beds suck horribly but idk what's going on in all the rooms around me but as I was coming in all the other doors are open like to air out the rooms. Just kinda strange. Well 10pm rolls around I hear the neighbor sawing logs and the other side sounds like construction going on. Next time I'm up here for work I'll request a different place or just drive 3 hours back home. But I guess if ur broke or someone else is paying it's better then sleeping in ur car. No No No No No. Oh good lord no. I set up a reunion for Kennett High School and stayed here so I could be easily accessible to my fellow classmates. This place makes being homeless look like a win. The owner/clerk must have taken profanity as a second language in school. When I was checking in he was tossing 'f' bombs and other adult language around like it was fine. Mike is church, so this didn't set well with me. He gave me my f#*king keys(his words) and if being old and run down wasn't enough, the whole 3rd floor smelled like weed. I asked to be moved to a lower floor but was denied. So I relived my high school and college days and got a second hand buzz. I'm guessing they hide all the pot smokers and hookers on the top floor. And don't book the Days Inn that's adjacent. It's owned by the same people and according to some who stayed during the reunion it was bug infested and quite possibly worse than the hotel I'm reviewing. Best bet is to stay out of town and drive back and forth. read more

Do not stay here. Checked in just to get the key, but then had to go to dinner and didn't get into the room till midnight. No one was at the front desk. The room had an overpowering smell of moth balls/bug spray. Had to open the windows but it was too cold and just tried to deal with it. Tried to call desk but no one answered. Considered sleeping in the car but again, cold. Called next morning after we left and informed mgr that we needed to cancel the second night and would appreciate a refund for the first night. He proceeded to call me a liar and insult me and refused to even discuss a refund. We disputed with cc company. Also mentioned the mold on the shower curtain. He said I was lying about that too. I don't know how you can run a business like that. Stay away. read more
