I have had to call the front desk for more issues and "special requests" (which at any other resort, would be considered normal) more times in the last 24 hours than anyone should need). 1. Key cards don't work- they didn't have the password to activate it so the gave me a master key card- yes-I had access to all rooms. Security is clearly not a concern. 2. Prior to us checking in, they didn't a quality check of the room. So at 5am when 3 of us we're trying to shower and get out to our excursion, the top bathroom had no water for shower or a flushing toilet. The first floor had no hot water- and to make things even more annoying was they thought we just didn't know how to turn on the faucet. 3. The safe does not work- in fact none of the safes work. - again, security is not a big concern. Neither is resolving issues. 4. Apparently house keeping doesn't have a checklist and if they do, checking the amount of toilet paper isn't on the list. So with 3 women in a 2 bedroom loft, with the TP clearly running out, one still has to call to get it replaced. (Does this sound like a 4or 5 star resort to you yet?). Same situation with bottled water. One has to ask for it. 5. They don't have wash cloths (face towels) or loofahs at this "resort". Never in my life and extensive travels, has any hotel not provided a wash cloth. This might sound petty but when you are in a county where it is hot and dusty, it's important. Who packs their own towels when you are going to a hotel??? Even after several calls to the front desk and 2 requests for a manager, no one has even contacted us or acknowledged the issues. It's only my second day into being here and I'm not thrilled but after many flights and hotel check-ins- packing up and finding another resort for a few days is not an option I really want to consider. So we're stuck over paying for 1 star services in a 2 star hotel.

It's a great little place that's perfect for backpackers who really don't mind roughing it. I say this because there are two outdoor bathrooms, and one has a broken lock that needs to be tied up. Also, at night, frogs tend to congregate outside the bathroom door, so if you're not into that, maybe stay at other hostels in the area. It's within walking distance of the beach and Mommy Phoebe's cafeteria, so you won't have trouble finding food.

Bring your own Charcoal and food to cook (maybe next time) We just got fresh shrimp & squid (about 5"'s) & they cooked it for us by the beach. Life is rough. I could get use to this. The squid was chopped into small slices w/green peppers and oyster sauce simple, fresh and delicious. The shrimp were steamed with heads on and a large pan of rice.

There is an outhouse for communal cooking with gas stoves and sinks provided as well as prep areas. This is important because dining out can only give you the same options at some point. There are also hammocks, outdoor seating and lounge chairs and dining huts by the beach side. There is a convenience store by the corner for small stuff if you forgot something. Staff are responsive and accommodating. Prices are reasonable and competitive.

The shower rooms were clean and relatively well-maintained considering there are a lot of people coming there. Guests can choose to stay in tables or cabanas according to their budget and there are several areas for grilling, so families can definitely bring their baon, or order from the restaurant inside (which I wasn't able to try, unfortunately). I liked that the place is very family-friendly; it's ok to swim in t-shirt and shorts (as long as there's no metal) and they're very strict about prohibiting alcoholic drinks in the vicinity. I had a slight issue about breastfeeding my four-month old baby in the cabana, but I'm pretty much used to nursing in public by now. The entrance fee was reasonable (240 for adults, 210 for kids) for the place is big with lots of amenities. My daughter had the BEST time swimming there. She just swam and swam until she was too tired and fell asleep. She was so happy that I think an hour drive going to the place is absolutely worth it.

You can opt to bring your own food or order food from them for a reasonable fee. The entire place overlooks the Taal Lake and there's always a nice cool breeze, making it the perfect relaxation spot. I have taken my family and friends here and all of them love the place so much. Once you enter, you immediately feel comfortable. The atmosphere is very relaxing and homey and it just makes you want to lounge around. Although there's no beach to swim in, their swimming pool is enticing enough to make you want to jump in one you see it. We were there negotiating for about an hour explaining our side and ask for the videos around the resort supporting our claim but they said it they are not working, which is not our fault. So they end up apologizing to us for their mistake. One thin bath towel will cost us around 18$/900 pesos. The rooms were old and much needed Reno for the resort and they charge premium for a night.

The staff was asked for a beach chair and seems don't wanna give us one! WTH?! No elevators/lift... be sure your website says so. Breakfast buffet that was included in the booking sucks! It's cheap- corned beef, viena sausage. Not a lot of fruit selections (only water melon, cantaloup & papaya, I asked for mangos, twice in consecutive breakfasts in our 3 days of stay, said they are out! No one cares and takes note of it. No liquid coffee creamer. A local fresh milk Alaska brand or Magnolia would have been heaven! Highly NOT recommended
