These nails are terrible and I'm convinced that all these photos are fake. I have cuts on the end of my fingers because of the little razors they use to file down the nails in my hands are so sore because how tight and aggressive they were so ugly and they weren't the same color at all of what I chose and they look nothing like the photo very unprofessional and very ugly

I sat in the salon for over 2 hours, I paid 75$ for the nude and teal my friend got the pink and paid 75$ as well they are bulky the Application of the powder is awful. Nobody asked if we were satisfied, I made a comment that the nails where bulky they continued to do them and just let us leave with these awful nails I've never had an experience like this I get my nails done every 2 weeks wanted to try a new place. I definitely will never go back and do not recommend to anyone.

This is one of those good what I asked for vs what I got stories, I absolutely love this place. I always have a good experience and they are so sweet here. They take their time doing your nails and I really appreciate that because some salons get busy and shove you out of the door practically. I never show inspiration photos because I've never had it turn out good, but I love these so much. She really took her time and made sure I liked it. This is shellac on my natural nail.

Have had my acrylics done for a little over 2 months, and no lifting at the bottom, which ladies we know how annoying that is bc our hair starts to get stuck and ugh annoying!! I forgot the name of the guy that did my nails but he did such an extraordinary job and I will be coming back to him for sure, this is my new nail spot and I will start to be a regular here!!

We have been coming to Sunshine Nails since they took over 4 years ago. Even if it's way over due, we don't go anywhere else. T and Kevin remember everyone's names, they always ask about the kids and are always so friendly. I'm so glad that they reopened after the first COVID scare bc I needed some major grooming.

Easily one of the best nail shops I've ever been to. Very professional, quality service, for a great price. Henry is amazing not just as a nail tech but he's very personable and such a sweet guy! All the staff is kind and friendly and make you feel welcomed!

The nails came out good but the price was very very high. $70 for basic French tip. It said on the board that one color is $45 which would be the nude. But didn't say anywhere about how much the extra color would be. $25 extra just for the white. I think that's a little high in my opinion and it wasn't posted anywhere.....

Just when I thought I found a nail shop I was in love, I go here and fall in love all over again! I decided to come here due to the fact that my regular nail shop is always rushing through my nails. Upon entrance I was greeted and taken care of. Kevin did an awesome job with my nails! He was very patient with me and gentle when taking off my nails. Always made sure I was fine! Absolutely loved my visit! I just moved to the area, and I still kept making the drive to other nail salons out of fear of horrible nails, but I am beyond glad I ran into Sunshine nails. Kevin did my manicure and it was by far the best set I have ever got. I showed him a picture and he made it come to life. He took care of my real nails! Gorgeous nails plus wine! Didn't push my cuticles too far back, only filed not cutting down, and dar I mention the heated neck pillow and pedi massage (my technician definitely has some reflexology training. I swear my headache went away. ) kudos houston! You. Have. A. Winner. read more

After my second visit, I probably won't be back. I couldn't decide on a dip color today but was just going to go with something safe like a light pink. I complimented the tech's nail color and she said she had a dip similar to it. I asked if it would match with a glitter I was holding and she said yes. Being a dip, you really don't see the end product until the very end. They don't match at all and the color is not even remotely similar to what she had on her nails. I don't know if the sample was mislabeled or maybe she grabbed the wrong one but I was so disappointed. I sat there staring at my nails for a long time. She asked if I still wanted to paint my toes and I said I didn't think these colors matched well and that I would pass. Instead of offering a solution or apology, she just said aww okay. I told her I'd probably end up painting over them when I got home and the response was okay, $40 please. I still gave a $5 tip out of courtesy because the tech was kind but I am so disappointed. I contemplated going back and asking them to paint over them. I understand it's a lot of time consuming work and I don't like to make waves but come on... these are horrible. read more

I hate to leave bad reviews. I used to frequent Sunshine Nails ever since the new owners came in. The experience was always friendly, fast and nails were great. Until recently.. brace yourself.. this is gonna be long. I came in on a week day around 4pm. There was only 1 customer there getting a pedicure. A tech greets me and asks what i need. I had acrylic nails at the time and wanted to soak them off and get dip over my natural nails. I am seated and given the swatch of dip powders. As she is filing the color off my nails, I decided i didn't want dip because I didn't like their colors and opted for shellac. The lady then calls over a young guy to finish my nails (assuming he knew how to do shellac and not dip) and she went back over to another nail tech to do her nails! Like really!?! you left a paying customer to finish doing a coworkers nails?.. The guy used the hand drill file and picks up where she left off. He has the power on low so the color isn't coming off, however, he hits my skin countless times and keeps saying sorry. I didn't bleed, thankfully. After about the third 'sorry', he puts my fingers in acetone and i wait, burning from the nicks. Time passes, he drills more, back in acetone, over and over again. Finally, the acetone part is done and he asks me what shape. I say square. He files one nail.. I look at it and there is still layers of acrylic on my nails as well as the shape is no where near square. I have had it by this point. Another girl comes over (not the girl who originally started my nails; shes still doing to co workers nails RIGHT NEXT TO ME) and tells me she will fix them and tells the guy to move. Yes, she fixed them. Took all the acrylic off and took extra care of my nails after the fact. I will not be visiting Sunshine Nails anymore because of this. I think the guy was fairly new. You cannot just throw a new person out to work on paying customers. He should be doing the workers nails for free until he perfects his skill. Hopefully he doesnt work there anymore. read more

This place was amazing! I called 30 minutes before close, asking if there was any way they could squeeze me in! Everyone greeted me with a warm smile and were so welcoming! The gentleman who did my nose was quick, efficient and his work was incredible! Thank you Sunshine nails. You're my new official go to! read more

EXTREME WAIT TIME EVEN WITH AN APPOINTMENT!!! I actually used to enjoy Sunshine nails, and made sure I made a visit every time I'm in town. However, the past 4 visits I've made have not been the best experience. This was my 4th time making an appointment & still having to wait. Today was the last straw as I had an appointment, waited nearly a whole hour & still was not help. I purposely come to Houston/this side of town for the salon, so this was definitely a wasted trip that resulted in the lost of a loyal customer. If you have time to wait an additional 30+ minute even after setting an appointment this is the place for you. read more

The salon is clean, Tiffany was great giving me ideas on how to style my nails. She made my nails perfectly straight and precise. I totally give this place 5 stars. I always get my nails, toes and eyebrow wax here. They are friendly & reasonable always offer a drink and have a punch card for free services. They do a great job, especially at getting rid of a built up foot callous - cheese grater without the pain! read more

Started going here after searching for a new nail salon in the area and reading a few reviews on here. if acrylics are your go to Tiffany is the absolute best! most of the time there is a little wait time for her but calling ahead solves that problem not to mention she is totally worth waiting for! She actually asks what you want done and makes sure to keep asking while she's working. Also great prices!! Totally recommend! read more

Went Wednesday and tbh i love my nails i will be coming back, although the lady that did my nails made the side of my nail bleed and kept touching the nail so that was hurting me and than she wanted to put alcohol, i didn't see that point of that only to hurt me more but she made a wonderful job overall she just needs to be more careful, the manager is really nice he offers water, wine, sodas what ever you would like to make you more comfortable. read more

This was the first time I went, the nail tech did an amazing job on my nails. She listened to exactly what I wanted (skinny coffin with crystals on the ring fingers) and the end result was perfect. They weren't exactly super smile-y but the atmosphere was nice and clean I can't complain. I would definitely recommend going here read more

I have been going here for over 2.5 years. This place is not in the easiest of locations to get in and out of but I love how I am treated here. I have gone to many places but no one does my spa pedicures like Tee does. She is the only reason I keep coming back. When I first started coming there they used to offer the paraffin wax with their pedicures. Then all of the sudden it stopped over a year or so ago. I was a little upset about this and went to some other places, but no one worked on my feet like Tee does so I keep coming back. I would definitely recommend this place for the spa pedicures and ask for Tee. I can't rate any other services because the pedicure is the only thing that I ever get. read more

I'm updating this review because in less than a week, my shellac has already chipped off. I was so excited this place was open on Sunday's but sadly I will never go back. I'm giving two stars for service and the place seemed pretty clean. Chipped gel main sure after less than a week and the tech cut me. I would not recommend going to this nail place. read more

I called about an hour before going in to see if they'd be busy, and I got a very polite response. It was my first time at Sunshine Nails, and I must say it was a very pleasant experience. I was greeted by just about all of the staff, and I was quickly seated, the man who did my nails (I didn't catch his name,) was in no rush, and he took the time to make sure my nails were perfect. I wanted something a bit more difficult than just a basic full set, and I needed his opinion on a few things. He told me which glitter would look/ work best with the design I wanted, and he didn't complain when I wanted to add things as well. It wasn't very busy when I went in, but it was also very close to the closing time. Everyone liked the design I went for, and I was asked if it was okay for them to picture my nails in their Instagram, after getting my consent, they took a few pictures and then I proceeded to pay. They do have a decent (punch card) reward system. If my nails last and don't lift before 2 weeks, I will definitely be returning! I loved the experience, so now I just need to see how my nails wear. I will definitely be posting an updated review in the near future. read more

Been going here for years. I recently moved across town and still go back because I've tried 3 other shops that were nowhere near as good. Everyone is so friendly, they greet you at the door instead of making you wait for the ONE person who speaks english like so many nail places do. THI is worth her weight in gold and even their waxing and other services are very well done. read more

Came in to get a pedicure along with my mom, I chose this location place because of the reviews. However, the lady who greeted us was very pushy with picking a nail color which upset my mom. We weren't offered anything to drink like another lady was that came in after us. I stated what kind of shellac I wanted but when I told the lady she basically disagreed with me, I got a color that when I left I wasn't happy with. But Thao did a great job. So that's why I'm giving 4 stars. read more

Favorite nail shop thus far on this side of town! Everyone there is so sweet and remembers faces and have the sweetest greetings! I've been getting my nails done for months here (acrylic-powder color) and none of my nails have chipped, broken, or snapped off! Good foundation and a wonderful booklet of designs to choose from. I would recommend coming here! Not the cheapest but not extremely expensive. Great quality for what you pay for to walk out with beautiful nails! read more

Rude staff. They will say they are skilled in a certain nail style but cannot deliver as expected. I was treated very harshly when I spoke up about getting clumps of powder under my nails. The nail literally drilled under my nails to scrape out the hardened power and cut me a few times even after I asked him to be more careful. I have been to other salons since my visit to this salon and have gotten better service and better nail resluts. I would not recommend this place ever nor will I consider coming back. read more

The new management and owners are amazing! Kevin who is an owner does my nails! The environment is always so friendly and relaxing! He never rushes and he makes sure that you're okay throughout your time there! Facility is amazingly clean! Everything is sterile before use! They even offer you an alcoholic beverage! With new management, sunshine nails provides excellent service and care since feb 2017 sunshine nails strives to please our customers in a clean, sterile, and friendly environment. We provide complimentary soda, water, and even wine for those over 21. Our tools are always well maintained and sanitized to ensure your safety and hygiene. Walk-ins are welcome. This business has been remodeled under new management since February 2017, providing exception service with a homely atmosphere.

Meet the Manager: Thuy V.

All of our pedicure stations are cleaned and sanitized. Liner are used for each service and will be discarded. Every pedicure equipment used by the technicians are all cleaned and sterilized. Pedicure and manicure kits are provided and discarded after every service. Hope you guys enjoy your pedicures with our special drink services including water, soft drinks, and wines. Come and have your own party on Saturday and Sunday with mimosa, champagne, and margarita. Thank you for coming to Sunshine.

I just find it outrageous that Nadia mentioned body weight or my body in general! That is super weird behavior!! Unprofessional and inappropriate behavior for older women! Honestly guys do what you want but I will never ever be coming back to this place at all. Nadia please learn when to speak and how to talk to people because your social skills are horrible. They're very thorough and had me send pictures my eyebrows they could see what exactly they were dealing with. It was recommended that I have a combination microblading and shading procedure and I was given a quote. I paid a deposit (to hold the appointment) and set a date. Prior to the appointment I received a couple reminders which I appreciated. Upon arrival I filled out any paperwork and Sandy got to work. She's an absolute perfectionist and it takes a lot of time, but it's 100% worth the trouble. I had a not so good job done prior and my eyebrows were almost orange and I had to color them in everyday. I really appreciated the patience I was shown as I'm quite squirmy and I furl my eyebrows constantly. I was repeatedly gently reminded to relax my face and I tried, but I needed constant reminders. After what seemed like forever (I have ADHD) & this tested my ability to control myself, I was beyond grateful for the attention to detail Sandy gave. I was given directions (received them by text, too) on how to properly care for them what to expect as they healed. I set up my follow up appointment for a month out. The touch up process is much faster and I was out of there in a little over an hour. I'm truly in love with the results and will follow up in 3-4 moms for a touch up. I'm so happy with my decision to use Studio Brows and I highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in microblading.

I only have GREAT things to say about my favorite nail salon, SUNSHINE NAILS !! I have been going there for a lot of years now, and they have done me right every time. The salon is clean and they have plenty pedicure/ massage chairs for a large group, so there is hardly ever a time where there is a waiting period. I am ALWAYS in a hurry it seems, and they usually can do my manicure and pedicure at the same time, even while I am relaxing. They are the first salon to introduce me to the Shellac Nails, and for the first time ever in my life, I am able to grow and maintain my "own nails". I do a lot of gardening and I have not broken a nail, and have had my shellac look GREAT for 3+ weeks. The ladies are very pleasant to be around and they always make sure I am comfortable and satisfied. I have and I will again, recommend SUNSHINE NAILS to my friends, neighbors, and co-workers. I've been coming here for close to 6 years and I will choose this nail salon over any other. I bring all of my family and friends and have never once had a bad experience. From pedicures, manicures and waxing these ladies are great. I've come in with broken nails and hands that are beat up after work and they preform miracles on them.
