If you are looking for a daycare, please do your homework in this daycare. Keep in mind there is a deposit requested you are paying for two weeks of child care plus a week of your child starting. Depending on your childs age, tuition varies. My child was entering the two year old classroom which came up to $300 a week. So my husband and I paid two weeks (deposit) = $600 (according to their policy, its nonrefundable & covers the child's last two weeks of the program) + $300 for the week.So we spent $900 in total. I really wish I went with my gut and looked at another daycare before making this big big mistake. Unfortunately, we pulled my son out within one week. The Director is apparently way too busy to greet or introduce themselves to new families. Their hours of operation are from 7:30-6:30pm, but according to a staff member in the office, they do not expect children at that time from my sons age group, which is why the opener for his age group is never on time. The second day we dropped off my child, the opener for his classroom wasn't there and we left out son with another staff member in the classroom. I called an hour later to ask how my son was doing and informed his teacher (who came at the time of her shift) who we left our son with and she informed me, I had left my son with the janitor (she was very kind but not one of the teachers & definitely not what we signed up for). I was so upset. No one cared to apologized/explained for that. The third day, we left our son with two teachers in a classroom where they were talking to one another and didn't seem to pay much attention to the children. The fourth day, the opener was one time. The fifth and final day, we came into the daycare and again no opener teacher for my sons classroom, as I asked to speak with someone in charge, there was no one to speak to. The janitor was sitting at the desk monitoring families as they were coming in. There was a teacher with four children with her near the copy machine, as she was making copies she over heard me speaking with the janitor on how unacceptable this is. The teacher looked at me & said for me to calm down and I shouldn't have an attitude. As I began to inform her I didn't, she responded with "yeah ok no problem, well my daughter goes here and her teacher isn't here either". As if Im suppose to be ok with this behavior. That day was my son's last day. I lost out on $900 and till this day there hasn't been an apology or a refund because of "policy" but policy was broken and mismanaged on so many levels but money overrides it all. If you are a parent who is paying out of pocket, please look closely into enrolling your child in this day care or any other Sunshine Learning Center. read more
