I was staying in Te Urewera trying to clean the house, and the amount of laundry was too much for our little washer, and there was definitely not enough sun to dry all the laundry, especially all the duvets. My niece mentioned this place so I decided to save myself a lot of grief and time. Wow! We filled four large washers!! This place is awesome -- there's a washer dryer combo for $16 nzd, and once you load your machines, they'll put the wash powder in and then transfer everything to a dryer and then put your laundry in either the basket/bins you bring or a sturdy plastic bag you can purchase. Go shopping, go for a kai, go to one of the many tourist attractions that are nearby, come back in a couple hours (they'll give you a rough estimate) and your clothes are done! They'll even fold it for you (if you're willing to pay to be THAT lazy... ) I can't say enough good things about this place, and I know I'm going there the next time I need washing done in Rotorua. The service was so personable, I bet they'll remember the Chinese/Hawaiian lady with an American accent. read more
