My daughter directed me to an area called "The Road of Antique Shops" or something like that. Specifically, there is about four or five miles of road where there are tons of antique shops, big and little, fancy and plain, friendly and not so much. Upon one of my journeys, I found this lovely little shop, run by the delightful Miss Corinne and her husband. This is truly a place of hundreds of pieces of antique furniture, paintings, clothing, home decor etc...AND, if you ask, there's a very good chance that Miss Corrine willl be willing to negotiate on the price of something you really love. I found a beaufiul, sepia colored vintage photo in an even older frame for a wonderful price, a great addtion to my wall of everything Italy. She told me how she thought the house was a little haunted by the former owner and if you pick anything too heavy for you to carry, her husband will help you. It is a large buliding with two levels and but it's hot upstairs so bring a fan! :o) I loved this place and will visit again when I make it to NH. Nice people, great little shop.

Their are so many separate booths, yet the store feels cohesive. Well lit, organized, and fun. Music playing in the background while people smile and chat around you. Everyone is friendly, and helpful. If I'm going to shop local, I'm shopping here! I found some wooden, hand carved candle holders, hand-sewn pot holder, and a monogram glass cutting board among the antique glassware and hand painted signs. I wish I could've taken more home with me, but that's what the second shopping trip is for, right?

He is one of those guys that has a real proverbial "chip on his shoulder about life" who knows maybe not enough hugs when he was a child.. Anyway point of my post was customer service is not his strong point.. He is a liar....and a true asshole..that refused to sell me beams because, I questioned why he was charging me more than he stated, and why he hadn't cut the beams as we had discussed. Oh and by the way I called on a Monday, was told I could pick up on Wednesday, when I called to pickup on Wednesday was told they hadn't been cut they would be ready on Thursday at 8:00 am called and was told they were ready, drove to pick up on Friday at 1:30 pm. And they hadn't been cut at all...Now remember the reason I couldn't pick up on Wednesday was because they were being cut. he didn't want to discuss this and told me that he wasn't selling me any beams. I can only assume that because I wasn't placing a large dollar order and he felt as if I was more a pain than what was worth his time. I called around and funny enough I don't seem to be the only one who has experienced, this chunky faced frat boys temper tantrum. Anyway just venting here, but I can assure there are a lot better people in this area that we could give our money to than this gentleman, who was probably spoon fed until was about 17, then handed a business to run, but just my opinion if you want to find out for yourself, reach out for some real customer service from Spencer (The pride of Sunset I'm sure) everyone loves him.... he told me so himself.
