New Years Day! A daughter's birthday party and the phone rings at 5:10 p.m. Our relative living at Sunset Villa Memory Care Facility at 1690 Arcata Wy., Ontario, Oregon, has passed away peacefully in his sleep! That would be a really hard way to start out the New Year, unless your relative had just spent 1-1/2 years with Sue Berg, Hans, Jamie, Stacy and all of the others who took care of him night and day. These folks loved our relative and that was evident every time we talked on the phone, sent him gifts, or just called them for an update! I have interviewed skilled nursing facilities - too many to count - and I give these folks a 5/5. Their cleanliness, redirection, attempt at return and report, and their care is the BEST I've ever seen. I hope if I need a memory care facility someday, that Sunset Villa is around for ME! read more

I worked for this facility for a little while and I can honestly say that it's the best place for your loved ones. They have a very well trained staff, they are organized and they care so much about the residents. I haven't seen a better facility. They way the staff treats the residents is unlike what I have seen before, they are respectful and kind, something rare that you don't often get.
