My husband and I stopped to get gas at the Huck's station in Paoli, Indiana. He swiped his debit…read morecard and then started to fill the tank but it would not work. After attempting again without success he went into the store to see if someone could help. When he got to the counter he asked the man working what he needed to do. The man became angry and told my husband that he had already stolen $30.00 worth of gas and the man stated that he had had over $1500 worth of gas stolen. My husband was stunned. He was merely asking for assistance. We had not stolen any gas. Why would my husband go in and ask for help if he was stealing gas? I don't even know how it would be possible to steal gas. You have two options - prepay or use your debit/credit card. The man was loud and angry. He accused my husband in front of everyone in the store. He was publicly humiliated for no reason. My husband had assumed that something might have been wrong with the pump since two of the other pumps had yellow bags covering the nozzles. He just wanted the man to help him or give him a heads up that maybe he had another pump that was out of order. The whole ordeal was upsetting and embarrassing. We will be getting our gas at Sunoco from now on.

All I wanted was a Mountain Dew and an apology for the way a worker's son had treated me. Since it was Father's Day it apparently gave him the right to be a jerk. Don't understand that logic but I'm used to being treated like I shouldn't exist. I wasn't even being mean. Just shaking and wanting some pain pills too. They wouldn't sell me them. Which might be illegal. Apparently that was crossing a line or something to want pain relief. Regardless this IS discriminatory and I WILL be writing a report with HR to see what I can do about this. Happy Father's day to you too Marathon Gas station. Considering my blood pressure was 180 over 125 at the highest when the ambulance checked me out this gas station might just be the death of me tonight.

They have all you would expect from a little convenience store, and a little more. Being so close to Patoka Lake, they have an extensive (for a gas station) selection of camping/fishing gear. Baby diapers, food for cook outs, charcoal, boat toilet paper and more await you. They also sell beer, though there is no cold beer. The outer pumps have pay-at-the-pump, pumps closer to the store do not. It takes a few moments for credit cards to get through, and tallys are done by hand, but when you are low on gas and the nearest gas station is 15+ minutes away, little things like that aren't the focus. -saeph
