My dad, brother, and I meant to get some breakfast at a small diner in between our camping spot and the chasm but didn't see any and the chasm was about a mile away so dad quickly pulled into Stewart's. After all, we are a "I need my coffee in the morning" kind of family. We were lucky - we got coffee AND some tasty breakfast sandwiches too. Upon first glance, there was only one breakfast sandwich out and I thought we were going to have to fight over who would get it. Naturally, I would have beat out my brother and dad (I am a foodie, duh) but the nice lady behind the counter quickly informed us she could make some more - yay - domestic averted! We had breakfast sandwiches, coffees, and a few donuts and ate at the seating area inside the Stewart's. Everything appeared very clean - the table, "kitchen area," bathroom, etc. They also have gas, a variety of grocery items, and other convenience shop/gas station items. A very nice spot to stop!

It was quite large, immaculate inside, with a huge assortment of fresh foods (sandwiches, baked items, salads) and beverages. I thought to myself, if I had to use the washroom (which, thankfully, I didn't, I wouldn't hesitate about asking to use the bathroom here. Note that I usually avoid gas station bathrooms LIKE THE PLAGUE. But here, the store was so clean and orderly, I'd use the washroom in a heartbeat if needed). I saw some beautifully packaged Vermont maple syrup on sale for a super price, and I got a few for gifts for friends back in Seattle, along with some fresh foods for the road for the kiddies and excellent coffee for myself.
