A very surprising find in Bonn! EisLabor has a truly gourmet Ice Cream selection that is created…read moredaily from local ingredients. What surprised me the most is the consistency of all the things I tried. The ice cream is smooth and creamy with no crystals. For me the taste brought out many fond memories of summer. Most surprising was Yogurt Ice Cream - prepared from a locally sourced farm. Quite amazing and a must visit on hot days or days when you just want to round out your meal with a scoop of freshly made ice cream from unique ingredients.

EisLabor sells a selection of about ten different flavours of home-made ice-cream for 80 cents a scoop. And I have yet to find a single flavour I don't like. Every ice ream I've tasted here was a perfect hit. There is only one minor downer, that you have to bear in mind: The place does not have seats, so you can't sit down there.

Especially since I can now have my frozen yogurt with cheesecake bits, fruit, and chocolate sauce. If only they had graham cracker crumbs in Deutschland! With at least 4 different fro-yo flavors and lots of toppings (fruit, cookies, candy, nuts, syrups, etc.) to choose from, you can have a new creation every time you walk out the door. The cost is calculated based on the weight of the yogurt and toppings, so watch out: the weight of the toppings adds to the cost quite quickly! For American fro-yo fans: it's not *quite* Pinkberry, but it'll suffice. Just do me a favor, fellow Bonners: if you're considering importing another American food trend, skip over the cupcake-craze and go directly to pies. You'll thank me for it.

Big points since it seems as if everything shuts down on Sundays! Another plus, the kind young man who was helping spoke English! Although, I was looking forward to practice my German on him.
