On my watch list now is Lonesome Dove and on my read list is Empire of the Summer Moon. To be honest with you, since the training is at Safety Town at Bassett around dinner time, I've been disinclined to eat there since the food court has really terrible Asian food, they just give you a lot to make up for it. BUT yesterday I found a hidden gem, literally it's in the far right corner of the food court. I think it's called Mr. C - Snack Shop which is really odd because it has everything from burgers to tortas, to loaded fries. They also have all the agua frescas, and fresh fruits alongside the snacks like elotes and chilindras. This carne asada torta was the bomb. So much flavor, they weren't stingy with the meat and I only got one gristly piece of meat. It's filled with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and avocado salsa. It comes with hand made fries which I normally don't like since they're limp and have skin attached, BUT these fries were covered with cheese sauce! Omg that just brought it to the next level... Best of all, it was around $10 which is a deal for the food court and in these inflationary times. Oh and all the movies at the mall on Tuesday are $5.75 all day! You want a safe place to play for your kiddos that they can climb? There's a kiddie area in the food court and I saw them sanitizing it pretty regularly, alongside the Easter Bunny pics. I admit I never really go to Bassett mall unless there's a big event, like this weekend's Kids Fair, or shop at Costco, but there are still local stores doing their best to survive and we can go and #supportlocal

They have a Dave and busters, express, target, few other stores and even a movie theater. The movie theater is the reason I normally come back. Since it's one of the smaller ones I have noticed it's never packed which is really nice! So shopping doesn't get as crazy as it would at the other malls. There are several people mainly seniors that are walking together as a exercising routine. One thing I would caution anyone is that Costco is right close by and their gas station is over by Dave and busters entrance, with that being said be carefully when going in and coming out because the gas station is always packed with cars in line.

I wanted a quick photo! We drove over early in the morning, before most of the shops even opened. This meant less people walking around and less cars coming in and out of the parking lot. To get a good photo of the entire wall, you have to step back and into the car path of travel. It's a mural, it was a nice photo op. Nothing really bad to say.

Sometimes they have local farmer market pop-ups but they change often. All stores have different areas but it's a neat area to explore for a few hours. Obviously the biggest selling point is the El Paso mural that floats around social media.

This little establishment is filled with 3 food areas and small shops. I've been to the coffee shop and Malaloma (I hope I spelled that right lol). The small shops consist more of clothing and some interesting, creative miscellaneous things (such as home decor, mugs, and jewerly). Parking was all right. When we entered the place, I felt like I was in a maze lol. But a very fun, creative one! Colorful and rustic. Whoever designed this place has great ideas. They utilized cargo containers and built a sort of waterfall and there's painted art all around. They have benches on all side and some tables and chairs. I wouldn't mind coming here again, wished I didn't live so far though. All in all, great place!

There is a few bars and places to eat along with a new coffee place that just opened. I definitely recommend trying out 2ten if you want your coffee fix and you're in the área. CrossRoads Village Shopping is a great little shopping center that has a ton of restaurants and…read morestores! You can find a CVS, dollar store, and grocery stores! You can always find a wide variety of food places, from fast food like Burger King to Mexican food and sushi! Over all it's a great little shopping center!

I don't come here much because this is definitely a place for soldiers to come to hang out that…read moredon't have much else to do. Feels like a teen hang out of kids goofing off sometimes. Which is fun to see them smiling and having fun. I am thankful that this is here, it is nice to be on an instillation that has so much available for soldiers so they don't have to go off post if they don't want to or can't afford to. They are spoiled here and most don't realize how well they have it with perks on post like this!

Cinema, fun restaurants, nice stores, cute toddler play area, water splash area for the hot summers, plenty of food options in its food court, huge class six, different barber shops, bank etc etc. This may sound corny but I have known many people who dislike the idea of visiting Fort Bliss but Freedom Crossing definitely makes makes it better. You can come here without a vehicle, experience it and have fun. Areas like this make military members feel like command actually cares for soldiers and their families.

This plaza holds the XII Traveler series monument to Fray Francisco, El Paso's 'mission builder,' along with the grounds of the Newspaper Tree - where stories were tacked to the tree for reading and socializing. Also close by are the 'Bienvenidos' door by Chris Weed that stands as a doorway to Old El Paso. We also crossed the street to see the monument symbolizing the meeting between Black Jack Pershing of the U.S. and Mexico's anti-hero Pancho Villa. The value...it's all FREE and very walkable. It's fun to get out and about on a post rain evening in El Paso.

I liked my chicken and waffle dish however there were a lot of flavors going on: the seasoned chicken, the syrup and then the cheese jalapeño sauce on top. I used to frequent Fox Plaza Flea Market a lot more on Sunday mornings...especially before Covid. I…read morethink it's one of the bigger and better flea markets in the area. They have some BOMB A$$ food trucks and other snacks. I've had some of the best gorditas and tacos here. It was almost as good as grandma's. I also had some pretty good Vietnamese food awhile back. I don't like pho that much but the one that was sold here was decent. The boba tea was also good. I don't like it that much, either...except the one I've had here. I also had a Vietnamese sandwich with meatballs. It was excellent! If you only knew the love I have for meatballs! They're one of my favorite things when it comes to food...and life! I'd often tag along with my grandparents to Fox Plaza. My grandma liked buying cleaning products, fruits and veggies and more. Back in the 90s, I remember several vendors had Looney Tunes and Simpsons t-shirts. I remember buying a few here. Everyone and their mom wore those shirts. Oh yeah and NKOTB shirts, too! Lol. You could find pretty much anything here. Their website says there's around 300 vendors on Sundays. You'll also find toys, plants, tools and more. Aside from the flea market on Sundays, there's a large shopping center nearby. I've enjoyed coming to Candie's for years. It's a large party store with cake supplies, pinatas, party favors and lots more. There's also a Starbucks and Jack in the Box in the area.
