I am extremely disappointed with this company and how they handle their billing. I received a bill…read morefrom a collection agency. I was really shocked by this! I ALWAYS PAY ALL MY BILLS WEEKS BEFORE THEY ARE DUE! I called the Oxmoor location and found out that their billing was mailed out by a third party. The billing rep from Gaddie's told me that I was mailed 24 statements since 09/30/2015. I verified my address with her and it was correct. I let her know that I did NOT receive any of these statements. I asked to speak with the third party company and she could not give me that information. I let them know that I was a former employee of Gaddie Eye Center and this use to happen all the time...a customer would call and be upset that they received a bill from a collection agency after a long period of time. I let the rep know that they really need to get it together because they are the common denominator involved in this on going issue and need to look into why this keeps happening. I will never take my children or myself to Gaddie again. I am really glad that I don't work for a company that does not try to solve on going issues. Also I was offered to pay my bill...and I will pay it, obviously because I don't want it against credit history. I really demand some answers for this...no one can miss 24 statements in the mail this just doesn't make sense. I don't not believe these were ever mailed to me. If I would have went in to the office for an appointment I would have been told I had a balance and not understood why. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM

I just left Gaddie's in Lagrange. I had an appointment set and they refused to allow me to have…read morethe appointment, that has been set for weeks, because they said there was a balance from July over a year ago that was unpaid for my daughter's glasses. I remember that prior appointment because my daughter paid herself for the upgrades she wanted, and it was over 200.00 and I did not think it was worth it. I remember my daughter pulling out her wallet and telling me that she wanted the built-in sunglass option and the upgrade frames and non-glare lenses and she would pay, and I was so proud of her. The owner stated that she would not allow me to have an appointment until it was paid, or we brought a receipt from a year ago. I said your system is faulty your people would not have released our glasses to us if there was an outstanding balance. She said you can leave now my employees are trustworthy. I said I am absolutely going to leave but before I go you should know that I think it is mean spirited and deceitful to wait until we came in for an appt to tell us you are double dipping and want payment twice for the same service and glasses from over a year ago. I said while I am here you might as well cancel the other 5 appointments, maybe 6 including mine in the next few weeks because no one in my family will ever come here again. Beware of Gaddie's they have poor accounting systems and cannot keep track of payments made by multiple sources on one account and the owner is myopic and does not wish to fix her processes or be honest with her clients and call them if there is a problem, she prefers public confrontations in her store as it is easier to get people to capitulate and pay her again, than argue the matter, for most people. My daughter called her bank on the way home and for .75 they produced a copy of her July payment to Gaddie's over a year ago. I will hang on to it if Gaddie's decides they want to pursue it, but I will never go back. A simple phone call a few days prior to the appt or recognizing that your system is broken and calling it good if you are not going to delve into your broken processes would have both been better than simply waiting until we came in and then announcing that you would not honor our appt until we paid a past due balance which did not exist, would have been better business practices. Just now this poor woman called me to reschedule my 2 Monday cancelled appointments. Incredible. I told her that I just left there and that I cancelled all of my kids and my own appointments and not to call me again I would not be rescheduling.

I'm a little camera shy and don't usually love photos of myself, so I really appreciated that he used my phone camera to show me a preview of the pose before taking the actual photograph. The way he talked me through the process and the history of tintype photography made the whole experience fascinating. I hate clothes shopping because it's difficult to find clothing that fits properly (and don't even…read moreget me started on bra shopping!), and I get frustrated wasting my time (of which I don't have much of in the first place) trying on clothes and walking out with nothing. So for these reasons, I rarely buy clothes and I make what I buy last as long as possible (which saves me a lot of money). However, aside from the odd item here and there, I haven't purchased new clothes for quite some time, and due to gaining weight and what I have wearing out after years of wear, I was in desperate need of new clothes. While in Louisville, my sister and I came across Mabel and Moss. It's such a lovely shop with awesome clothes, and with the help of the owner (it was like having a personal shopper), I tried on so many things. Unfortunately none of the dresses or tops fit me properly, but I still walked out of the store with several items: a jean jacket, a pair of jeans, two pairs of pants, a jump suit, and shoes. The clothes were not cheap (and tack on an extra 30% due to the currency conversion -- yikes!), but they are good, basic items that I really needed to rebuild my wardrobe, particularly the pants and jeans. Finding good jeans is almost impossible (and when you do find a style you like, they stop making them), and until I went to Mabel and Moss, I had not been able to find any non-jean pants to fit me properly and are suitable for work. And as a bonus, even though I am short, I did not need to hem the jeans and the pants -- amazing! I especially love the jeans -- they fit well and are sooooo comfortable. Hopefully I can purchase another pair and have them shipped. Unfortunately, just the other week, the owner announced that the physical store on 4th Street closed down as of December 20th, however they remain open online. I'm not sure if they will be re-opening a physical store in the future, but I hope so, because I intend to go back if I am ever in Louisville again, and I need to try on clothes first before I purchase them, since things fit so poorly on me. I was intimidated by the venue because of the space and height of the ceilings but Maria was so knowledgeable (and patient) and a true expert in not only utilizing the space and natural decor that the Henry Clay offers, but also translating my often scattered ideas into a tangible vision. I live in New York (my parents are in Louisville) and Maria met with me every time I was home as well as met with my mom several times to perfect the design and decor. She was arrived even before we did the day of the wedding and spent all day making sure everything was set up exactly right. She worked with us on the lighting, placement, and worked with with our florist and the Henry Clay on-site team to get all the details exactly right. Maria was an absolute dream to work with and our wedding would not have been what it was without her. She is also very helpful working within budgets and maximizing decor and design based on those budgetary concerns. The pictures do not do Maria and her design skills justice. Will definitely be using her in the future for any party decor/lighting rental needs in the future. Don't hesitate to use her--she will exceed every expectation you have and take your wedding to the next level.
