Do not rent here at this place. I just moved out recently and it has been over a month and they will not release my security deposit check. When you try to call they either dont answer the phone or they pick it up and hang up. The office is a joke. Word has it that kelli and keri are on meth and receive drugs from the tenants through the work out room there. Several tenants have stated that they purchased drugs from Kelli and Kerri at the laundry facility and gym room there on the property. The walls are thin and can hear conversations. The apartments are small for what they are wanting you to pay. They allow a maintenance worker who lives on the property drive two pickup trucks with no license plates on them. I will be sending a tip for the authorities to investigate why the two ladies are selling and distributing drugs to tenants. I went in one day and Kelli was shaking really bad like she was overdosed on drugs. Stay away from here do not rent from this place. It's not worth the money to live here. Not to mention the trash dumpsters are always overflowing. I am going to have to lawyer up as they will not send me my check after stating what the amount was to be refunded to me. read more

Very long review incoming from someone who rarely leaves reviews! This was my first apartment living alone, and the units at Sunbrook are the perfect size for one person. During the tour, everything looked nice. I signed the lease and moved in within a week. There was no official walkthrough of my actual unit, the woman in the office just told me to shoot her an email if anything looked off. When I walked in, it was extremely dirty. There was what appeared to be an attic hatch thing in the ceiling above the shower that was falling off of the ceiling. The shower was moldy, along with the floor and toilet seat. I mentioned this in my email and immediately got a notification that there was a maintenance request put in for all of it. Great!!! However, within the next few days I got another email that maintenance was resolved. Except nobody ever came. So I lived with the most disgusting bathroom for a few months. Until the warmer weather came in and I realized when the AC was turned on, the ceiling attic door thing leaked. not drops, but a steady stream. That is why there was molding and discoloration to the walls and the floor and the toilet. This was a problem that clearly existed before I had moved in. The hatch door thing dropped lower and lower until I thought it would literally fall down. Because it was so low now and on the verge of breaking, you could see inside of it and there was very obvious mold coating the entire thing. I had a bucket 24/7 where the water landed that constantly overflowed that I had to change out every 6-8 hours. The water was so red that it had stained every rug I placed down and my shower curtain and any towels that hung over the shower. So, I submitted another request, this one specifically mentioning mold and that the ceiling was actually falling down in the bathroom because it felt a lot more serious. The very next day the status was updated to resolved. But again, nobody ever came. At this point I decided to just stick it out for a few months and not renew my lease. Because it was obvious that they did not care. I just recently moved out. I turned in my keys to the office and I paid my dues. Just to receive a call that my keys were never turned in. The miscommunication between the ladies in the office is another problem I experienced on more than one occasion. Along with having trouble navigating how to pay my rent through the portal more than once throughout my time here. For my final payment, I had to call and pay over the phone because there was no way to pay it online after the site said I'd be able to. Moral of the story is these apartments are way too expensive for what you're getting. The shared laundry machines are half of the time out of use, meaning there's not enough machines to do laundry. And when they do work, your clothes are not clean and not dry. The room was disgusting all the time. Other than having a nice pool and being a great place for walks, these apartments are not ran well enough to pay as much as you do. The leasing process is a joke. Their website shows dog fees 200 & 400 and on the summary lease (before signing) shows 400& 800 for mine . They wanted 3 paystubs ,but since I work for a mom and pop that doesn't use fancy payroll or paystubs they then wanted 2 years of taxes but it needed to be this employer for 2 years. When I told them they denied me after I gave them what they asked for, and I wanted my money back, they refused initially then MAILED A CHECK for the refund. They are unprofessional and nobody ever calls you you have to call them to get any updates or status. Have a friend lives there the walls are so thin you can hear neighbors talking normally. The upstairs peoples dogs go crazy at 2 10pm-2am and people constantly smoking weed in the building nobody cares about it. Walls are paper thin so you can hear your neighbor's conversations, maintenance is overworked and nobody answers the phones, no security, despite there being a dedicated security shack and signs saying "24 hour security", the amenities are just for show as there are no pool balls, sticks, bags, or anything else that goes with the equipment, the "smoking" areas are not well designated, so people smoke anywhere and everywhere, cable being required and included is a joke, the fees just to pay rent are a joke, the constant mold and leaking Pipes are a joke, and the steady break ins and police calls are a constant nightmare to deal with. I wrote a pretty positive review after a month of being here or so, however now there are several things I wish to point out that I am pretty not okay with at this time to warn others who may potentially be trying to move here. First off, there is a security guard shack when you first pull in. I have addressed this with management, because there NOT ONCE have my spouse or I EVER seen a security guard posted outside of the apartments checking cars and stuff. This is highly misleading. Because they state they have security cameras/guards watching over the property but it doesn't seem that way at all. Secondly they are HIGHLY deceptive about how much you are going to pay. My rent was supposed to be $851 per month, however after receiving my billing cycles. not only did they charge me $93 for "move in related charges" even though I already had paid $1,100 for that shit, they charged me extra. Plus they charged $20 TO BILL ME ONLINE AND PAPER STATEMENTS... And then it's ANOTHER $20 processing fee to make a payment. There is an option to pay at in person at several locations but they want you to go to like Title Max and they still attempted to charge me $13 to pay my bill.... like so an additional $40 on top of the $851.00 which brings my grand total to $891.00. I am planning on moving at the end of my lease. The fact that this fluctuates so much is not worth it. I am on a budget. I cannot afford the fluctuations at all. There is a reason there is so much turn over and availability in these apartments. Do NOT waste your time trying to rent here. read more

The maintenance is unprofessional.the worker walked into my apartment without permission while I was not there.... they did not leave me any sort of notice/call/text or email regarding their appearance. This made my wife and I very uncomfortable, for obvious reasons. My dog was also inside at the time and my wife found him hiding under the bed visually shaken up. He is old and skittish so if we were aware, we would have made the proper accommodations to avoid this. With the world we live In nowadays, I really don't feel comfortable knowing that anyone has access to my apartment, let alone, the ability to walk in without consent. Sunbrook is very unprofessional I called and ask do they do background check and they said they only do 3 party screening and what I was asking was background felony and she never disclosed that they where not FELONY FRIENDLY. So when I get there they deny me and then say my screening was denied do to my Felony which I responded with I was never told or when asked if they do background check . So Kelly, GiGi, Malory are the 3 people I spoke with before I even came and they never told me so they tried to take my 450.00 dollars as a fee and pay me later.They are poor communicators and tried to take the wrong person's money today... do not rent from them!!!! They have great maintenance but the only person ever in the office Gigi is extremely hard to understand and can't even pull up your account billing. There is a fence and security guard shack making you think there would be a guard but it's more like there is a guard about once a every month or two. read more

Please stay far far away from these apartments like I should've. They will increase your rent halfway through your lease without saying anything, the walls are so thin I can hear my neighbors in bed talking, stuff is always being stolen, cars broken into, and nothing is ever done about it. The maintenance people are very nice but everything else here is terrible. You're forced to pay $60 a month for cable on top of having to pay a $30 fee every month just to pay your rent. Buildings falling apart. Leaky roofs & black mold growing in the walls. They're trying to cover the damage with new siding, but the wood underneath is rotted. In the 3 years I've lived here every resident I've spoken to has a similar story with their building. Multiple covered parking structures have collapsed, causing significant damage to the cars underneath. Someone torched the leasing office, the laundromat caught fire, and the gym is currently closed because the roof is leaking. Cars get broken into all the time and cab drivers have gotten robbed. The apartments are small small small, paying $650/mo for less than 500 sq ft of space. This review isn't written in anger, I actually really like the location! Unfortunately the bad seriously outweighs the good and we're moving out ASAP :( read more

Awful awful awful, these people DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AT ALL!!!! My car gets broken into twice and they only say well was it locked? Not a sorry not any Sense of concern that my car isn't safe here. The Kids in here are terrible they brake into everyone's car. even with the constant car break ins they do nothing to improve the situation. No cameras or anything. We don't even have a police officer in the guard stand they have. It's been empty since I've been here. They don't care about the residents at all. worst Place I have ever lived. Do not move here. Very deceptive rent pricing. You are forced to pay for cable tv. Rent is paid to an outside company and you are charged a 5 dollar a moth fee just to pay rent. office staff is no help. dogs are allowed to shit anywhere on property. Outside of several apartments look like a garage sale. People are allowed to clutter and leave their junk all over in front of your door. Only positive is the maintenance people. As a new resident, I haven't seen anything that warrants a negative review like the ones I've been reading. The application process was seamless even with my average credit. I worked with Melissa and she went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed even leaving a housewarming gift for my first entry. My two bedroom is adorable. I've had one maintenance issue that was handled quickly. My only concern is speeding on the lot. I'm hoping speed deterrents are in the future as renovations of the grounds continue. read more

Terrible place to live. Overpriced for a "one bedroom" thats the size of a studio for over 1,300$. "Renovated" Apartments my fucking ass, theres outlets that dont work, no lights in main rooms, drains don't drain water, water pressure is ass, there is METAL SCRAPS under the cabinets meeting the floor because they rushed and didn't want to finish. Terrrrrribleeeee management and the owner is a pos. She claims it's a safe place to live and it'll feel like home but peoples cars get broken into and robbed over 60 times only in the LAST 4 MONTHS and then when the office is notified multiple times they say they aren't going to do anything because they don't live there and it's "not their problem". People in the office can't even do their jobs, they literally sit at a desk and wait for the phone to ring and i've been on the phone for OVER AN HOUR trying to get a person to answer the phone. Terrible place to fucking live and just absolute pieces of shit who work there. Literally is supposed to provide people a safe place and they wont even do anything to make it that way for its residents THAT PAY THEIR PAYCHECKS. Police have been notified and have on FILE multiple peoples cars being robbed and yet the owner can't put up cameras or hell hire a fucking security guard for certain hours ??? I wish I could give negative stars. Do NOT live here. It's so disgusting. For starters, it's smoking friendly so the entire time I lived here, smoke leaked in from my neighbors apartments into mine. All of my stuff and clothes constantly smelled like it, which led to my car smelling like it. It was so bad that people commented on it. There was mold in my bathroom when I first moved in. Less than half my outlets worked. The apartment was constantly full of bugs. Ants could crawl from any area where the wall met the floor because it was so poorly sealed. The screen didn't fit the window so mosquitoes got in. The AC unit is SO old like maybe made in the 1950's...like filthy, old and so loud...loud enough I couldn't sleep with it on. On top of all this the on site gym is PATHETIC...it doesn't even have any free weights. The laundry room is basically unusable. It smells so gross and the machines are extremely dirty. It smelled so awful in that room. They don't take cards or coins. You have to buy a laundry card for $5 exact cash....I chose to use a laundromat off site. I have nothing good to say about this apartment. I even rented furniture through them and it was extremely unsatisfactory. The mattress was awful quality...it had a giant crater in it. read more

Absolutely terrible place. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone. The price is not worth it. I have mold literally everywhere. A month upon moving in, the shower tile started to mold. The toilet started to leak but I was told by maintenance that it just sweats so its okay. If I close the bathroom door for awhile, it starts to smell like sewage. I have mold EVERYWHERE. The window was replaced a few months ago. Now I have black mold on the windowsill and all along the wall. It even got on my couch and its in the carpet. Also the corner by the front door molds. I was told there is a crack in the cement which is letting in moisture. My front door is molding along the bottom, my ac unit is also molding. This place is not safe. After getting sick 3 times in one month, maintenance came but only to spray bleach then told me that its going to be my responsibility to continue spraying. This place is a complete shit hole. My flooring is coming up in the kitchen and bathroom and I somehow have moisture in my closet. The property managers are not nice at all and don't give a shit. read more

I never really have high expectations living in an apartment complex. If you run the numbers you have 100's of residents and few people to make things tick. Knowing this and being a decent human being with common curtesy, you realize that every issue you might think is an emergency might not be. That being said, Ive never had a complaint with this place. If I have a issue I follow the procedure and wait my turn. The maintenance and ladies in the office usually have a pretty quick turn around and always meet my expectations. When it comes to mold, roaches, and loud neighbors you should consider these environments before thinking about renting in a apartment complex. If you don't want to deal with these COMMON problems then do yourself a favor and go rent a house. That's like sending your kids to school in the winter and being pissed at the teacher that your kid got sick. Someone is going to get sick with all the kids in the room just like your going to have issues with people living so close in proximity. This place is absolutely disgusting. After 10 months of living there, we had to move out because of uninhabitable living conditions due to black mold. It is literally everywhere! While moving our furniture, we got a few surprises... More black mold! The apartment was very rude and tried to blame the mold on us, evicting us, and saying we still needed to pay last months rent... Absolutely awful. No one should ever live here. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It's too expensive for the value that you're given. Not many people pick up after their dogs. You can't find a parking spot near your apartment when it's starts to get dark. People take your clothes out of the washers and dryers. The pool doesn't get cleaned. The maintenance crew gets grass all over my truck when they mow the grass. The toilet keeps getting this weird ring around it was that I've never seen before. The sinks in the apartment keep acting weird and shooting spurts. There are a lot of drug users there. The weight room has like 4 pieces of equipment and at least one is broken. The pool table has a broken bumper. I've went in to the office a few times and they were closed even though they were suppose to be open. If you tell the office a problem, they will pretty much have the attitude of that's how it's always been or what do you expect us to do about it. If you are looking for an apartment, I would avoid Sunbrook. It's not worth it. read more

If it was possible to give it zero stars I would. I have only been living at Sunbrook since Oct 2015 and I wish I had never moved in. Leasing office/management is terrible, no customer service skills at all, maintenance does not do there jobs half of them do not even know what they are doing, they will not fix anything that breaks or needs fixed in your apartment in which they agreed to do when signing the contract, half the people living there are trashy, no one obeys rules (people always moving my clean laundry, not following dog restrictions with breed, wanna-be gangsters running around, people smoke cigarettes and other drugs inside of the apartment that makes all the other apartments unbearable to be in and much, much more) and not to mention we have had to call the cops multiple times, once for someone firing a gun in front of our apartment late at night. If you have a dog BEWARE, if they catch that your dog has ruined anything, even though you have paid a deposit, they will try to get you to pay even more money or get rid of your pet (that is what a deposit is for!!). Anyways, If you are looking to move in here, don't, I promise you will thank me in the long run!! read more
