I'm in the Army. I am currently at 20 years active duty. Understanding even half of what it's like…read moreto be a Soldier, you can imagine that our bodies take a beating. Over the last 2 decades, mines been no exception. For the last few years, my back has been injured to an extent that I cannot perform physically like I should. Sometimes, the pain so intense, I can't move or walk at all. Now this is not a review to bash Army Medical, nor would I ever. It's kept me alive this long. And besides, I didn't join the Army based on their quality of health care lol. However, the Army, would also X-Ray me, claim to not really find an issue, and issue me another 6 month supply of 3 different medicines so I could pop pills every day and be half the Soldier I once was (physically), which in fairness, is better than 0%. For the last 2 years, I was on a unique assignment, and at a remote location. This means that there is no military base, nor military hospital for me to visit. So the Army picks up the tab, and I get to go to see civilian medical. This is how I end up at Revive. So, Revive reviews my history, does a bunch of tests and consultations of their own, takes copious notes and studies my case, and even orders MRIs (notice NOT X-Rays), and studies those as well. End result: I need not one, but two surgeries. Should I not have the surgeries, I run the risk of getting worse (best case), or (worst case) not being able to walk in the future. Now then, because of (you guessed it) "Army Stuff", I will not be able to have the surgeries here. But to be fair, the Army did agree and was ready to pay for it. But I had to leave (the state / assignment etc), and go to a new assignment. This is concerning, because now, am I starting all over? Nope. Before I left, Revive not only went over every note, every recommendation, the surgeries, the different scenarios, the recovery period etc etc... they gave me in a big fat envelope, every note they'd ever taken that lead to their decision to have surgery. AND, gave me all the MRIs. So now, I take it to my new place, hand it over to the Army, and skip all the guess work (and pills). The works already done, and my back is on a countdown lol. I'm disappointed that I didn't get to have my surgery here. However, I'm extremely grateful to have some sort of closure, so that I know it wasn't just me sucking at being a Soldier, and something actually is wrong. And not only that, but it can be fixed. I'm very appreciative to the world class service and treatment I've been given by everyone at Revive. I hope to never have to recommend it (because that means you're hurt)... but if you're hurt, I ONLY recommend Revive Spine Center .... well, wait, let me be clear: If your spine is hurt. I'm not totally sure they are gonna be able to fix your tooth... or eyeball... or elbow. But, who knows? Lol

I have been trying to get a prescription for blood pressure meds refilled for almost two weeks so my mother in law doesn't stroke out. Pharmacy was nice enough to fill a 5 pill emergency prescription since she's been getting the same meds for 10 years, but this is totally incompetence on the part of Grand Island Family Practice. If you call them during business hours, you get the answering service 99% of the time. Calls are not returned or taken care of. To make an appointment, I had to walk in to the practice and get the receptionist to put down her cell phone to do it. The Drs/Nurses/PAs are competent, but you will get a different one every time because turnover is high. I have no idea who my current doctor is. Last year I could not get a doctor on the line during business hours, and my mother in law ended up in the ER and almost died because I could not get a prescription refilled in time. I thought it was a one-off thing, but apparently this has been going on for a couple years now, judging by the comments on the googlemaps listing for this location.

This is all the time. So I'm currently looking for a new doctors office, because this is ridiculous. Edit: so I went elsewhere, because I STILL couldn't get through to this office. Turns out I had PNEUMONIA! Thanks, Island Medical, for your care in diagnosing and treating a dangerous condition I had . Oh, sorry, that wasn't you. That was another doctor.

I was first treated by Dr. Benjamin Levy who was wonderful explaining my knee condition and ways to treat it. Very pleased. He transferred to another practice but I was assigned to Dr. Jesse Fodaro. I could not be more pleased. Knowledgeable, friendly, willing to answer questions and willing to work with what I want to do. I am extremely pleased. Regarding the office staff, they are usually very friendly. My last visit the lady who takes the co-pays seemed stressed and on edge. She did speak rather sharply when I tried paying it on the way out, as she was not available when I entered the office, and was called in before she was available. She curtly told me they would have to bill me as copays were closed for the day. It did take me by surprise but we all have rough days. Otherwise, the entire staff is extremely helpful and friendly.

I should have done my research and took the google reviews into consideration before making an appointment with this office. Stay away!
