I love green beach! My family has been going there for like 10 years, as my grandparents have a…read morehouse on the island. The beach is very clean. I love swimming near the border, and so do most of my family. Chances are, you'll run into one of us if you, too enjoy swimming. The weekends can get crowded, which is fun for some, but it's really nice to go for a get away during the week. The snack bar is really good. Awesome köfte's served with little veggie accoutrements. Yum. With an ayran or a coke. Patates are ridiculously good, as they tend to be in Türkiye. I personally enjoy the ton balık salata and a peach iced tea. The workers are not formal waiters. They are there to earn money and enjoy their summer. It's like a working vacation for them. There are lovely Kurds, Turks, and Georgians working there. They work hard, and I appreciate that. Once a week, I believe, you will see an influx of children, as an orphanage comes for a day out. My understanding is that the people that run the beach treat the kids for lunches and snacks, and their day is gratis. Love it. The kids are sweet. This is not a fancy place where they will bring you a tablecloth and silver silverwear for you to cut your karışık tost with lol. It's a chill, relaxed enjoy the nature around you beach. Pretentious people need not enter. You will hear lots of languages beyond Turkish. There are many suriyani that come to the island, some Russians, an occasional loud ottoman-American like yours truly, and more. Omg I miss this place so much. I won't be there until August this year, but if you go, enjoy it for me. There's a shuttle boat, near where you take the ferry's to the mainland and other Ada's, that can take you right to Green Beach. Certain times of the day. Free! If you miss it, you can take a horse buggy feyton ( and do cici to the horsies for me) or best, walk up that hill! Message me and I can give you directions. Stop at a bakal and get a nice cold bottle of su or iced tea, chill, and continue walking up til you walk down to the beach. Then jump in the water! Omg........ I wanna be there now! Cheers and güle güle
